A Day To Remember Chapter 12

Since I took care of the rose, I have also cared my mother's other plants. My view of them has also changed a bit since I took care of the rose. They are no longer annoying elves in my eyes but as if they were very cute babies. My irritability has also somewhat decreased since I followed Jr.’s advice to look around full of positives and non-negatives so that I can appreciate the beauty of life.

Since I promised Jr. that I would take care of rose to give him, I have been the one to deliver it to them. Once or twice a month I take them to their house. Because mama has more roses than any of her other plants here in the garden. She likes it because it is the first flower that papa gave him when he was still courting.

Aunt Mila loves the dahlia because it was the first flower given to her by Jr.'s dad. When I deliver flowers to them, there is a chance that I can have a snack with my mother. Sometimes I bring a snack with them.

There was a time when I invited Jr. to have a snack at mama's bubble tea shop. I would wait for him there or sometimes I would tell Marla that I would go there and she would wait for me. It has almost become a daily routine that we get together every day. I don’t think the whole day ends without a time we don’t meet.

I can say that we are ok and we have become quite close. I also admitted to myself that I already liked him.

I don’t know how or when it started. At first I knew in myself that I would crush him. But after a while, I just felt to myself that my admiration for him was deepening. It was the first time I had experienced something like this, to dream and see myself in the future with a man. Jr. is my dream to be with in the future. My dream is to be with him and we are getting married and have our own family.

Maybe I'm exaggerated to think but that's how I feel and think now. Maybe it's because I've only just now I experienced to come closer to a man. Sometimes I want to make a story about us. But I also wondered what the ending would be?

I never thought I would experience this. Back then, I was content to be alone with the laptop and write a story. But now I thought that it was fun to be with someone to talk to, especially if it was Jr.. I just smile to myself like a fool when I think of him. I'm thrilled if that's the name of the convulsion I make when he haunts my mind.

I know Jr. still loves his dead girlfriend. I had no intention of entering his heart because I knew it would be impossible for that to happen. To like him secretly and see him happy made me content. It helps me a lot that he smiles every time he visits his ex's grave. When I see him smiling I smile too even though I know I'm not the reason.

The splendor of such a situation. I like him secretly. I thought such things only existed in shows and books. I never thought I would experience this myself. The secret to falling in love with someone who loves someone else. But the funny thing is that I am satisfied with his presence. Without asking for any attention from him.

"Hey!" I suddenly woke up when my mom pushed me. We are now in the garden and are currently picking roses for Ade. "What are you smiling about there?" mama asked me.

"H-huh, what's smiling?" dead maliciously I asked him then frowned.

"You're smiling." At the same time she poked my side. "I can see the width of you like this." She teased me then smiled broadly.

"Stop it, ma, what do you look like there." I scolded then took the flowers. "You're going to tell a lie while I'm silent here."

"Good afternoon!" Mama turned to us at the gate at the same time. I am secretly excited when I saw Jr. standing there. She was wearing a white dress and white denim shorts. My heart was pounding and I felt the flesh inside me feast.

"Oh Jr. come in and Mia is preparing your flowers." He nodded once in and approached me. I handed him the rose and shook the slide as he took my hand.

"Nice bloom, Mia, I'm sure Ade will be happy with that." He then smiled at me. "Why this is too much?" he asked as he reached for the roses.

"You don't want? Give me and I'll take others," I said then immediately took the rose in his hand. "I'm easy to talk to, Jr."

"I'm just asking and you're angry right away." He laughed and so did mama.

"You're complaining because there are so many so I'll just reduce it."

“I know how your head doesn't get hot. I'll give you bubble tea for free to keep you cool.”

“You're really good at being silly. And know very well how to tame me!”

"Of course," he replied then looked at mama. "Auntie, I'll just give your child free food so you won't get angry," he said asking mama's permission.

"It's good, Jr., even if you take it home late, there's no problem to me to somehow she can freshen up," mama replied.

"Oh, aren't you leaving?" I asked Jr. "You're still going to the cemetery, aren't you?"

"It's a little later and I'm still waiting for Clark because I'll borrow his motorbike." I just nodded as an answer.

We went straight to the shop. He opened the door for me so I entered first. He found me a seat while he and went straight to the counter to order. He also waited at the counter while laughing at Marla. When I saw he was done and back I took the cellphone out of my pocket. I secretly shot him as he walked back. When he got close to me I smiled, a smile of success. His handsome even stolen shot.

"What's with the smile?" he asked then sat across from me.

"Huh, why?" I said dead maliciously but still smiling then put my cell phone back in my pocket.

"There's something strange about your smile." The strength of this man’s feeling.

“No! You are just suspicious.” Even though it was obvious on his face that he doubted, he didn't look at me.

"You said so!" After he said that he started eating fries. I just smiled and ate well.

"Jr," I called to him so he stopped.

"Why?"

"Aunt Mila mentioned something to me the first time we brought you a rose." He frowned in astonishment. But immediately smiled with outside nasal air before drinking bubble tea.

"I will guess," he said then wiped his mouth. "Did she mention the reason of Ade's death?"

"No ah!" I said quickly but he just narrowed his eyes at me while laughing.

How did he know that?

"You don't know how to lie, Mia," he said staring at me so I averted my gaze. "Look at me,"

"No,"

"If she really didn't tell you then look at me."

"She didn't say anything,"

"If not why don't you look at me?"

Tss!

Is it too obvious?

‘Sorry Aunt Mila.’

I just signed peace with him with a smile.

“I know Mama, Mia. Even if you tell me that she didn't mention anything to you, I know that she has already told you all. She may have mentioned it to you most of our lives.”

I laughed at what he said because it was true. The few times I went back and forth with them, Aunt Mila told me the same story. That includes the love story of the couple, their life before her husband went abroad and got sick, and how her children went abroad. As well as what attitude Jr. had when he was young.
