I took a few strides toward Travis' office. If he wants everything, he has the ability to turn things around in his grasp! I made it apparent to him that he should not act as if we were having an illicit relationship.
So, what's his new gimmick?
When I opened the door, my neck was feeling heated. As I walk right at him, I burst the door open. He was tapping at his iPad while he sat at his swivel chair.
"What now? What is happening?!" I banged my hands against the table.
"What?" He doesn't move his eyes away from the screen and doesn't even look at me.
"You know what I'm saying, Travis!"
"..." He didn't respond and continued to click on something on his device.
I yanked it away, annoyed.
"You know what I'm talking about!"
"No, I don't."
He's now staring at me. His eyes were emotionless. They're blank, yet it seems to get inside of me. I gave him his iPad back.
"What does it indicate that I've mysteriously lost my desk? And why are they moving my stuff to your office? Don't tell me you still don't understand?" I sarcastically grinned at him, clutched my waist, and positioned in front of him as if he was already a problem to me.
“What? Aren't you happy that you're my secretary now?” He stood up as well. Walked to the door and I wondered why he locked it and lowered the window.
"I am not!"
"Why?"
"Just because!"
"I will make your salary quintuple."
"N-no!" I almost agree with that! With just money my brain is already shaking.
"Sex — tuple."
"No!" It’s tougher now when I responded to that. And I know there is a meaning to what he said “sex -tuple.” Duh! That word shouldn't be separated.
"What can I do to get you to agree?" He is now walking towards me again.
“Nothing. You can do nothing. So better give my position back and I must start working now.”
“It's unfair, you know.” His words are coming from his teeth. Like a lion ready to eat his prey.
Why am I the one who is unfair now? Why am I cruel in his eyes anytime it is convenient for him? I never requested anything of him in the seconds, days, weeks, or months we were together.
He ignored me despite knowing how I felt about him. I know I shouldn't allow my feelings to interfere with what we discuss, but...
Every day we spend together, I am heartbroken. I'm completely fatigued. Every bit of me falls just to build someone who is not even damaged.
How ridiculous.
"If you don't put me back in my place, I will resign—Mmmp..!"
I couldn't continue what I was about to say as he blocked my mouth with his lips. He held my waist while one of his hands was on my neck, choking me but not painful.
“I gave you the opportunity to break free from my grasp. Why does it seem that I should be the one chasing the cat? I am Travis Vuk! The Tiger!” His harsh breath was invading my flesh.
“Travis... Hmmn.” I couldn't help but let the moan escape.
No. Athena. It is unacceptable to get enamored with him again. He will take advantage of you once more. Throw aside your emotions.
My knees turned to jelly as his palm crept into my dress. Why is it that I am so weak when it comes to you, Travis? I am absolutely gutted that I seem to be unable to turn away.
My heart will never betray you.
I encircled him with my arm.
My body, please. Stop becoming this man's slave. He refuses to give you with anything. He can only provide you with a downpour.
I've been extracting all of my sanity from my head, but I can't return to myself.
