Alpha Jason Rogue Luna Chapter 33

Megan's POV

Regrettably, I must say that I got lost in this residence and spent 10 minutes looking for the kitchen. My awareness caused my cheeks to flame. I was at fault for not paying closer attention. I had no choice but to. This home was too big.

I lit the burner while seated at the kitchen counter and discovered the identical pan. I looked for the ingredients as I placed them over the heating burner to begin heating. The fridge had the eggs and the bacon, while the cupboard above the pans held the pancake mix. The only modification was that I had to acquire a fresh stick of butter from the refrigerator since the butter jar beside the stove was empty. A few mixing bowls, some made of plastic and others of metal, were placed in the cabinet next to the pots and pans. I took a plastic one and added my ingredients to create the pancake batter.

I turned my head and coughed a bit as I put the pancake batter in. My nose rubbed the inside as I breathed the dry, powdery stuff. I nearly dropped the bowl on the floor as I jumped and spun around in response to a laugh coming from behind me. Jason was wearing shorts and leaned against the open doorway. Water droplets ran down his neck and the hard surfaces of his chest, leaving his head still wet and messy. I hurriedly turned away since I didn't want him to see me staring at something so private.

I didn't want to shock you, I promise. He stated this just before climbing down from the wall and approaching me. "I see you've started preparing breakfast. I would be thrilled to assist you, and I wish you had waited. In humiliation, I hung my head. I followed the rules and entered his home, took advantage of his possessions, violated his privacy, and showed him the utmost respect.

"I apologize. I had no idea I shouldn't have. It won't occur once again. My eyes sprung wide as he walked ahead before halting in front of me. I anticipated my punishment as I fixed my gaze on his bare feet.

My head was softly tilted up till I was face to face with him by warm, calloused fingers as they gently grabbed my chin. I was so near to him that his eyes appeared considerably greener and brighter. Every time he breathed, his warm air stroked my favorite. After what seemed like an eternity, the eyes fixed on mine moved down my face. He grinned broadly as his eyes crinkled with joy. One hand resting on my cheek and cradling my chin came up to my face. My nose was repeatedly touched by a lengthy, tanned thumb, which made me want to distance myself from all of this contact and intimacy.

"No problem, Megan. You are not in any danger. I felt secure. I only wanted to be of assistance to you.

"O-okay." I hesitated. I was flustered at the time. His hand stroking my face overpowered me; his face felt too near to mine. He touched my nose with his thumb once more, shooting sparks across my face and making me want to sneeze once more. I wiggled my nose to eliminate the sensation and received another smile.

You are adorable. He laughed, leaving a faint pink tint on each of our cheeks. You had pancake batter on your nose, I noticed. The strange sensation in my gut returned, this time stronger, and my cheeks began to burn more intensely. I wished I could relive the warm, fuzzy feeling because it was so good. "Sit down now." I was jolted out of my reverie as his voice rang again.

"W-what?" He inquired while keeping his hands on my face.

"Go sit down now." He echoed. "I'll make you breakfast,"

"Are you certain?"

"Yes, I'm certain. Just leave and unwind. He hesitated briefly before relaxing and nearly falling off my face. Slowly lowering his head, I felt the gentle kiss of a set of lips on my forehead. I felt my eyes expand as I retreated from astonishment. He gave my cheek one final kiss before letting his arms fall. "Sit down now." He smiled at me, turned away, and started preparing the supper.

As the bacon slowly perished in the hot fat in the pan, sizzling bacon soon filled the room. As he finished cooking, a stack of pancakes and eggs rested on a dish. While seated on the whirling stool, I looked shamelessly behind his back. It had muscles covering it. With each movement, I could see them shifting under his skin. I was somewhat frightened by force, yet this made me weirdly calm and at ease with him.

A clean plate and silverware set were soon placed in front of me. The stack of pancakes, the eggs, and the bacon were in separate dishes that were positioned between us for easy access by both of us.

Alpha remarked, standing still and refusing to approach the platter once again. "Grab whatever you want," he said. He suddenly rose and marched over to the cupboard as I reached for two pancakes, making me jump again. He bowed his head and grinned regretfully over his shoulder. Sorry, I didn't remember to get the syrup.

Once he was seated, I completed piling my plate with two pancakes, a tiny portion of eggs, and two pieces of bacon. I ate carefully, keeping my head down and focused on my scale, and I peered at him from time to time. He managed to consume virtually all the food provided, leaving some behind either because he could not finish it or because he was storing it.

"Are you alright?" He questioned while putting the last of his pancake in his mouth. From here, I could hear the crunch. It was a pancake made with "leftover batter." When there was just enough batter left over to create one more, it was thinner and crunchier than the others. In any case, he appeared to appreciate it.

Do you mean, "I'm sorry?" I queried. Was I performing incorrectly?

"Although you don't eat much, you're still moving your food around. Are you uncomfortable, or do you not like it? He was accurate. With my fork, I was driving my eggs about on the platter.

"No, no problem. The cuisine is also good. I suppose I just got used to eating this much. I still feel stuffed from last night.

"That's not good at all. Every couple of hours, you need to be ravenously hungry.

Saying, "I'm sorry." My fork was put down, and I covered my face with my hair.

"Megan." To view my face, he murmured while reaching out and tucking my hair behind my ear. You're not to blame. You have no responsibility. You never have to apologize to me. Okay?"

I repeated, "Okay," using a softer tone than he did. He groaned and turned to look at his clock.

I have a meeting, so I must go shortly.

Okay, I repeated.

If you like, you are welcome to remain here. You may always visit us; you don't need to seek permission, alright? This is as your home as it is mine. I gave a head nod.

"All right, I'm getting dressed now." He softly grasped my head as he rose and gave me kisses. I foreheaded the dishes and placed them back where I found them when I heard him padding up the stairs.

I left before he returned to the lower level.
