ARAIA’s P.O.V
All of them are just looking at us, especially me.
Seconds later, they all bowed their heads and greeted the Alpha.
I did the same but I didn’t utter a word.
Giselle’s still there, hugging the Alpha while crying and looking at me.
Look at her!
I can feel my blood boiling just by looking at her face.
Where is she getting all those confident?
I thought Alpha Alejandro is someone who wouldn’t let anyone touch him but why is Giselle clinging to him?
He’s not doing anything about it either, is this what everyone meant when they said that Giselle is someone important to the Alpha?
I’m not looking at them but I can feel the pressure of their gaze on me.
I somehow felt like there’s something overcoming my body…
What’s that?
“What’s this commotion?”
I almost jumped when Alpha Alejandro spoke.
His voice became more strict, he must be angry…
Will he kill me?
I am also one who caused the ruckus after all…
“This girl!” Giselle shouted.
How dare she?! Don’t tell me she is going to put the blame on me?
I kept my head low, I don’t know what I would do to her if I look at her in times like this.
I want to slap her but I control myself.
Nothing good will come out if I let my emotions overcome me.
I know that I am wrong when I also throw her the soup that I am eating but I just can’t tolerate her behavior!
I just hope that Alpha Alejandro doesn’t like what I am thinking.
I just stood there waiting for what Alpha Alejandro would do.
While Giselle kept on talking and shouting at me.
“She poured the soup that she was eating on me. Look at me! This is all because of her, she humiliates me!”
Her voice changes as if she is crying like a damsel in distress.
Look at her!
If she would continue acting like this, I would think that she is used to this kind of event.
The back of my hand is already sweating as I am also nervous of what will happen.
I didn’t hear anything from Alpha Alejandro. Instead, a pair of shoes appeared in front of me.
When I look at who it is, it is a man that I have never seen before.
He looked like we are the same age and this man has a soft feature as he has a smile on his face.
Unlike others, he is not wearing anything on his head other than the expensive looking clothes on him.
Who is he?
He is looking at me while both of his hands are on his back.
I looked around to see what the others were doing and I’m surprised that their heads were all bowed down so I immediately bowed my head.
I heard the man in front of me chuckle.
“You may raise your head Araia.”
He said.
I did raise my head but I am still not looking at his eyes because I feel like there is something in his eyes that tells me that he is dangerous
Because I kept on looking away from him, my eyes accidentally landed on Alpha Alejandro and I was surprised to see that he was also looking at me. Directly in my eyes!
My heart beat faster.
Why did I forget that Alpha Alejandro is here?
“Let’s go?”
The man in front of me asked.
I am not sure if he is talking to me so I look at him and realize that I am right.
Where are we going?
I was hesitant to come with him as I don’t know him and this is the first time that I saw him, but then Alpha Alejandro walked away without saying anything.
Giselle’s face hardened.
She has this expression saying ‘you are dead!’
What’s with that?
Is she threatening me?
Well, I can’t say that I am not scared but I believe in fairness so I will fight for my rights -but of course in moderation.
I don’t want my head to fly a second later after I open my mouth to explain.
The man in front of me walked to where alpha Alejandro went and giselle followed him, so I also followed them.
Where could they be going?
Are they going to torture me? Or are they planning to lure me to a place where there are no other people—wolf and that’s where they are going to kill me?
I suddenly felt a cold sensation all over my body.
L-Let’s not think about it…
I continued following them until like you no longer saw any wolf around us.
While I was following them I saw Giselle glancing at me with a smirk on her face.
I really want to slap her right now!
I don’t know why but whenever I see her I feel like I am becoming an irrational person.
It’s like I have lost all my senses except my anger.
We walked for a few minutes until we arrived at a pond.
The man who was in front of me a while ago faced me and smiled at me.
“I would like to introduce myself, I am Jeronimo and I am Alpha Alejandro’s right hand man. In short, his beta.”
He extended his hand on me, even though I was scared of what he would do I still accepted his hand and shook our hands.
“I am Araia…”
I am not sure if it is necessary to say my name but I still said it anyway.
Who knows if that would lessen the punishment that they would give me…
Let’s just hope…
Alpha Alejandro and Giselle are both looking at us.
Giselle is still there beside Alpha Alejandro wearing her smirk.
I bite my lip in frustration.
She is really getting on my nerves!
I avoided her when I heard Geronimo clap.
My gaze landed on him.
“Shall we talk about what happened?”
Finally…
I think I should say my side first because if they heard Giselle’s side first before mine they would think that she is the victim and not me.
She might also turn things around and tell them that I am the one who poured soup on her.
“Wha-“
I was about to tell them what happened when Giselle cut me off.
“This girl started it! She suddenly poured soup on me! I’m not doing anything and I am also treating her nicely so I don’t know why she did that!”
What?!
“What are you talking about?”
I couldn’t help but to counter what she said.
I can’t believe that she is lying directly on my face.
“Is that true?”
Geronimo asked me.
“It isn’t.”
I calmly said.
“You liar! Everyone saw it but you’re still lying?! You even threatened my life!”
What?! When did I do that?!
“Stop saying nonsense, you are the one who is lying right now! Isn’t it you who poured the soup on me first? And what are you saying that I threatened your life? That isn’t true!”
I took a step forward because I couldn’t contain my anger but Geronimo also took a step forward to stop me.
“Hep! Calm down.”
He stretched his arm so I will not pass through him.
I suddenly felt embarrassed because I do not like this turn around so they will not see my face as I am so embarrassed and furious at the same time.
Giselle had the audacity to lie in front of Alpha Alejandro!
Just how thick is her face?
Doesn’t she feel any embarrassment and guilt at all?
“So…Who’s lying?”
Geronimo asks.
“She is!”
Giselle immediately shouted.
“I’m not lying!”
I shouted back.
In my peripheral vision, I saw Geronimo place his hand on his head.
That action of his made me shut my mouth.
This is the first time that I shouted at someone and I am not used to these events and problems.
That is why even though I want to slap her I just can’t do it because I am also afraid of what will happen to me.
Especially that I am not in the world that I am used to.
I shouldn’t forget that I am still in the world where werewolves live.
“Ha…So what should we do if both of you are not telling the truth? Then… I think it is just right that both of you will get the punishment.”
“No! Why would I get the punishment when she started it?! I don’t deserve the punishment! You should just punish this girl because this is all because of her!”
Giselle shouted at him.
Geronimo raises his eyebrows while looking at her.
“I think you should lower your voice while talking to me, you shouldn’t forget who I am.”
Geronimo told her. That shut her up.
She must have realized that she is in a lower position than him.
Giselle lowered her head but she still keeps on giving me a death glare.
I just rolled my eyes at her and I waited on what Geronimo would say. It took him a few minutes to decide on what would happen to us.
While he is doing that, Alpha Alejandro is just standing beside Giselle while looking at us.
His expression isn’t changing, that’s made me wonder what he is thinking.
However, I know that Alejandro is looking at me from time to time, even though I am not so sure what the reason is but I know that my gut is true and I can confirm that he’s really looking at me as our eyes meet sometimes.
“So to solve the problem, we will investigate further about what happened because this cannot continue furthermore and if this happens again, I will give you a punishment such as you will be fired from your job and you will no longer get a recommendation letter from us.”
Both of us, Giselle and I nodded our heads.
This is the best option for now for me.
“So, go to your posts now, we are about to continue our travels.”
He said so we gave our respect one more time to him and to Alpha Alejandro before we went back to where the camp is.
Giselle leaves the forest first. While she is walking, I can hear her mumbling something. She must be angry that I didn’t get punished as she wished.
Tsk.
Isn’t it the opposite, why is she angry when she should be the one who should get the punishment as she is the one who started it first?
I am so frustrated because she should be the one who should be punished, but I am scared to fight right now since I can’t do anything as I am not like them.
I can feel my body shivering just from the thought that I would get killed in a snap if I made a wrong move here.
Gosh.
What should I do if I can’t go back to my home?
I walked slowly so I would not bump into her. When I could no longer see her anymore I walked to a different direction so I would not face her.
I am not scared of her, I am just scared for my life. I am still hiding my identity and when someone finds out who I really am and what I really am, they might do something bad to me. Especially that there is an Alpha around us. I don’t really know what will happen to me if they find out.
It is better to be safe as early as possible.
Now I need to think about what I should do so this thing wouldn’t repeat.
We have been warned and I don’t really like breaking rules ever since.
I really need to find a way to get out of this place as soon as possible, it’s becoming more dangerous for me to stay here now that Ii know that I don’t have anyone to rely on in this place, that no one will help me when I am in a dangerous situation, just like what they did earlier, it is possible that they will just watch me beyond danger instead of helping me.
Nothing good has been happening ever since I departed from the elders’ house…
Come to think of it, how are they now? Do they already know what happened to Orlando?
Are they mad at me because of whag happened?
Will they haunt me and kill me because I am the reason why Orlando was killed?
“Dammit!”
I picked up a rock that I saw on the ground and threw it to a tree that I saw.
Why did I come to this place in the first place?
I just want to have a peaceful vacation!
I didn’t ask for me to get here. I’m not even a fan of a werewolf fantasy but why am I here?
“This is driving me crazy…”
Everything that happened to me is crazy, so frustrated that I didn’t notice a branch on where my feet are that I ended up stepping on it.
“Woah!”
I almost fell, thankfully I grabbed on to a small tree beside me.
“Ha!”
I shouted in frustration.
Why’s my life like this?!
I got to the camp quietly, I looked around to see if there would be anyone who would attack me.
I should prepare myself in case of an emergency!
Oh…
Looks like it would be easier than what I expected.
Everyone’s just looking at me, when I walk towards their direction, they walk away as if I have a dangerous sickness.
They’re even avoiding the things that I am doing, even when I only touch something, they wouldn’t touch it anymore.
