"Where are you going?"
Axel asked out of nowhere while staring at Sophie, who was dressed in a fitted whole suit with her hair braided.
Sophie confusedly said to him, "I'll just go and run to the woods---my daily training."
Axel's face flushed as Sophie turned half of her body to face him, and it was flexing her behind that he found it hot, and he said, "You shouldn't go out there looking like that."
Sophie was confused and said, "Why not?"
Axel was taken aback, and he suddenly thought that she was overstepping some boundaries and that her reaction shouldn't be like this, so he decided to step back and said, "Be back before dinner is ready."
Sophie was about to walk back when she already finished packing everything that she had packed.
"Sure, but do you need anything?"
Sophie was dumbfounded as she saw that she was the only one in the room and there was no shadow or presence of the person she was talking to earlier.
Sophie decided to jump from her window and leap from tree to tree from afar.
A mysterious man was looking at her from behind and said, "Is this why you have been MIA (missing in action) all this time?"
Sophie was leafing from tree to tree, and for the first time ever since she lived, she felt free.
She didn't need to hide; she didn't need to be tense about thinking if she could survive for a day or two.
Sophie felt like she was being followed by someone, but she didn't pay attention to it, but her senses were present even though she was doing something else. Her mind was on the person behind her.
Sophie went to the last tree and entered a leaf that was shaped like a curtain.
She entered a door, a leaf like a blind on the windows.
It was like a tunnel that would lead you to a small village with small houses, and everyone was at their own homes, making it look like an abandoned city.
"Sophie is here!"
Everyone got out of their houses and they were little people with their ears sharp and so was their nose.
The leader of them said, "I thought we lost you. The last thing you say to us every time you leave this town is, "If I don't come back, you are dead!"
Sophie felt appreciated as she looked at the little people around her.
They were called pixies. A magical creation magic potion that has a curse associated with it, but not all of it.
They are misunderstood creatures, so they made themselves hidden because all of them were being haunted to make them figurines while they were still alive.
Sophie was about to speak when her best friend Hiro suddenly appeared and said, "What are you doing at the palace?"
Everyone was stunned, as they all knew that the palace was a place where most of the pixies were displayed as a souvenir.
Sophie was looking at the worried pixies and didn't know how to tell them this and said, "I was there to prevent everyone from having a nasty faith."
Ramon said in a worried tone, "Is that the reason why you weren't going in here?"
Sophie sat on her knees and looked at them, "Yes! And I brought sweets, to make up for not being around much. "
Sophie placed her bag filled with candies, cakes, and assorted gummies on the grass.
Everyone gathered around except for Hiro, who found his best friend more suspicious than before.
Aryo, the leader, or who's more responsible for the whole group, gestured for Sophie to follow him.
Without a word, after Sophie scattered everything she had brought, she decided to follow Aryo.
"What are you doing in that gloomy place?" Aryo asked as Sophie approached.
Sophie couldn't catch her tongue and what the right words to say to her were.
She had known them since she was 20 years old, and they were sensitive creatures.
Sophie looked around and saw that the sun was about to set.
"I'm there because they hired me as a worker."
Aryo couldn't believe it because he knew the information.
Before you can be accepted to work on that palace, your rank should be placed as Beta.
Everyone knows an Omega is like a piece of dog meat that can be sold from time to time.
They stayed like that, and Aryo was about to speak when he was cut off when Hiro entered the circle and said, "Can I talk to Sophie?"
Hiro entered the space and went closer to Sophie and said, "I know what you are up to, but why didn't you tell me?"
Sophie looked at Hiro and didn't realize that the sun was setting down and darkness was taking the skies.
Sophie didn't want to talk to Hiro because he liked to think of her as not worthy of a lady.
It was the first time that Hiro saw her with her glowing white skin that was free from mud.
No one dared to talk, and the crickets were already making some noise around them due to the intense boiling of two.
"Is this why you are following me, Hiro?"
"You're being creepy."
Hiro chuckled as this woman's instinct never fails, even before, "and what is it to you? I'm just as worried as your friend..."
Hiro started to pace and go around Sophie while looking at her glowing skin.
Hiro picked up a stone and was ready to hit Sophie's head with it, but even before he could, Sophie already held his hand and said, "I don't know what has gotten into you, but this clearly isn't you."
Sophie turned as her senses were already alerted and said, "Do it once more and the punishment will be severe."
"Mark my words, Hiro."
Sophie got out of the village by leaping from a tree.
After minutes of Sophie being away, Hiro gathered the pixies and said, "I will capture Sophie so she'll be safe."
"Would you cast a spell so we can see in her mind what happened these past few days?"
Aryo just nodded in fright. They can't tell Sophie that she's in grave danger, especially since Hiro has had them all by the neck since the maiden disappeared.
Hiro jumped high and leafed from tree to tree, and saw a light that was in the middle of the forest.
He tried his very best not to make a sound and then saw everything.
The Lycan King held a cloak and placed it on Sophie's shoulder, and the king's hand never left her shoulder since then as they entered the carriage surrounded by guards.
Hiro scoffed.
"You climb a wall that high for a short while?"
