Alpha's Temporary Luna Chapter 37

As soon as Hansel reported, the Alpha gave a command to all of his Beta. The meeting was then put to an end. Rebecca’s sudden intrusion top Axel’s priority, and that wouldn’t have been the case if she wasn’t with Edward.

Axel stormed out of what they called his headquarter, together with his trusted and strongest men. They were to meet the two who suddenly appeared without a prior notice.

“Did anyone know Rebecca’s coming?” Axel asked as they walked together. His eyes reflected raging hellfire.

“No, Alpha. We haven’t heard from her since the day she sent us a message about her announcement.” It was Rousel, who answered.

Axel breathed hard. So, he was the only one whom she messaged after that. She knew it’d be faster to talk to him directly, but instead of pleasing him, she blackmailed him. But since he didn’t take the bait, she did this alternatively. But what can she possibly accomplish by doing this?

Axel’s men from the front halved. The four stayed looking over the gate, while the four two followed Rebecca. They were the ones instructing Axel where to go, through a voice transmission. Right now, the two are headed towards the Capital. Dressed as Noble, without any companions. Axel later on decided to use a transportation. He planned to use any necessary method if ever he retaliates.

Rebecca, on the other hand, knew they were being tailed. She did not know if her mate, Edward, had grasp the awareness, but nevertheless, they continued to walk as if they were civilians.

Some of the Kingdom citizens turned upon laying their eyes at the couple. Though, it has been long, they recognized the Alpha’s past lover. Whilst some became curious thinking who she was with, she didn’t mind.

“Are you sure it’s okay to just enter the kingdom without any consent from the Alpha?” Edward asked not knowing.

“Of course, my Love.” Rebecca smiled and clung on to him tighter.

“How about the pack? Wouldn’t they find it a crime for me to walk over their place?”

“Why are you so worried?” Rebecca looked up to him. “Surely, you and your men are strong enough to take the Borders on, if ever.”

“Yes. But I do not wish to fight him. In fact, if possible, I wanted to form an alliance.”

“An alliance?” Rebecca’s brows met. “What do you mean, an alliance?”

“I figured it would be better for us to form a union. An alliance between two packs. It was unheard of, but not impossible, my Queen.”

Union between two packs. Rebecca’s eyes reflected perplexity. Never in her entire existence had she heard about two packs forming an alliance. Every Alpha stood by their pride. They were to never unite with others, as they had always believed each of them were omnipotent.

“Whose idea was this?” Rebecca asked, curious.

“Mine.” Edward smiled to her. “They were your family, weren’t they?”

Family… Rebecca felt a slight pang in her chest. Were the West Border her family? But they never believed her, didn’t they? What even defines family? A number of years spent together? Bond? Connection?

But if they loved her enough, they wouldn’t have supported Axel’s decision to replace her. Rebecca drew a deep breath. Now, this was no time to think about unimportant things like this.

Rebecca forced a smile. They continued to walk. Rebecca knew Axel’s going to come for them. But he still won’t be able to do anything. She’ll announce about her pregnancy right now. To slap Alpha in his face that he had always been the problem. Just thinking about what kind of reaction he’d make excites her.

Rebecca asked Edward to stop midway. She said she wanted to buy milk, but that was a lie to buy time. She needed Axel to catch up to them. She pretended as if she was looking for some other things to buy. When eventually, she sensed what she have been waiting for her.

Edward seemed to know it, too. He secured Rebecca.

“The Alpha’s here,” Edward whispered to her ear. “They found out.”

“Of course, they would.” Rebecca paid the Lady, before she turned to Edward to give him the bags. “But I am only here to visit and give my announcement. I meant no harm.”

Axel closed the gap as soon as they spotted the two. He saw Edward looked at his direction.

“We’ll ask them to come with us quietly. I wouldn’t want to start a commotion,” Axel said coldly.

It was only Rebecca that he would take to his headquarter. He planned to throw Edward out from the Kingdom, if will not listen. However, that could also be up to Rebecca.

“Axel…” Rebecca called his name as they went closer.

“Rebecca…” He said hers, but with an unpleasant tone. “I’m sure you received our response.” Alpha’s gaze shifted to Edward. “Which was to not bring your mate with you…”

“Was there any message like that?” Rebecca acted innocent. “I did not know…”

“I’m sorry, Axel. But we meant no harm. We are only here simply––“

“Because of an announcement?” Axel cutted him off. “Why don’t you tell me so I could pass judgement on whether or not it’s worth an attention?”

“Of course, it does!” Rebecca asserted. “This is something the West Border should know.”

“Then, cut the chase. Tell me this instant the important announcement that you speak of.”

Edward looked down to her beloved. He did not know that she had already message them. The two seemed to be talking something he did not know. But more than that, why was he so hostile when she used to be his partner?

“Pardon me. But I do not understand where your antagonism is coming from. Doesn’t Rebecca have a right since she’s part of the pack?”

“Yes, she does.” Axel’s voice was stern. “The only problem here was you––“

“Do not speak like that to my mate, Axel.” Rebecca’s tone changed. “I am here to deliver a good news to the West Border, and Edward needs to be here, because he is involved.”

“How so, Rebecca?” Axel challenged her with his eyes.

“I am carrying his child.”
