Alpha's Temporary Luna Chapter 64

64 Continuous Preparation

Sophie and Flora went to the base. Unplanned, and without the awareness of the Alpha. They visited the training camp of the wolves. But it wasn’t only them. There were also girls who weren’t from the Base. Some are from the Capital, whilst some are from the nearest village, giggling over the naked wolves. Drooling, and shouting for support.

“I didn’t know our warrior has a fans club.” Sophie turned to Flora. “And there are quite many of them.”

Flora chuckled. She tilted her head right and left to see the supportive lined-up girls, who looked more focus on the opposite sex’s body than their actual training. If the in-charged training leader would ask for a penny every look, they would’ve gone wealthy in a span of twenty-four hours.

“If we stay a little bit more, My Lady, I’m sure the others will assume we came with the same reason.” Flora removed her hands from the stones that stood as the separating space. It was the boundary. The reminder that this was as far as they can go.

“Right…” Sophie did the same, and turned around. “Why don’t we just take a look to the den of the healers? They would allow us in, right?”

Flora nodded. Even if it was the rule to forbid anyone in, that will not stop Sophie. She was the Alpha’s Queen. So if Axel was the law itself, so was Sophie.

Sophie took the lead and went to the direction where the sanatorium was in. She knew where it was because she was present when Axel announced where the healers’ den would be. She also knew the faces of those who were luckily picked out of all the wolves with a healing ability in the Kingdom. A lot of them were high ranked, so she was quite excited to see how great they were.

“I see you’re excited about meeting the other wolves who have the same ability as yours, My Lady.” Flora commented when she noticed Sophie.

“Of course!” Sophie looked back to her, smiling. “It’s amazing to see other wolves with different healing capacities. Besides, you told me to learn, right?”

While they were on their way to the base, Flora mentioned there was another way to pursue the Alpha, which was to gain knowledge, and develop Sophie’s prowess. Sophie’s lack of knowledge and experience may not have been the reason of Axel’s refusal, but if Sophie could prove herself worthy to th Council, the Alpha would have no choice. Just like what happened when he accepted Edward’s request of alliance.

“My Lady, my suggestion would be a lot of help. Whether or not the Alpha will let you in, you will have knowledge you can use in the future.”

Sophie nodded her head. Flora had a point. Both in her suggestion, and her statement. She had already realized that. She knew she had no experience in war, nor was she knowledgable enough about healing. She just simply had it. And since then until this very day, she didn’t think her power to heal was ever developing. From the day she discovered she had it, it’s capacity didn’t change. Not even a bit.

Now, the little problem was how she could learn more about it. How she could explore in the depths of healing, knowing its extent, and how she could develp her own to make it more capable. Because surely, if she was to tell the others to teach her, it would reach the Alpha.

“I’m Sophie Drie…” Sophie introduced herself to the warden of the sanatorium, as if her name wasn’t known by the whole Kingdom. “I was told by the Alpha to come here.”

“Greetings, Ms. Sophie.” The warden bowed his head, before he turned around to opened the gate. “You may enter.”

Sophie and Flora exchanged a meaningful look before they stepped inside. Though what Sophie said was a bit unbelievable, because the Alpha would never have allowed her to take any of his role, the warden seemed to believed it big time.

Sophie walked in the pathway together with her servant, Flora. Before the actual sanatorium was a flat green grass on both sides of the pathway. On the middle of the right side was a statue of Axel, while the other side were the three Elders. She haven’t been here since she rarely ever go to the base, and she didn’t have any business here before. Thus, the stone statue amazed her big time.

No. Not only Sophie, but Flora, as well.

“Who’s the in-charge high rank inside?” Sophie asked as she stopped before the door with Flora.

“I have no idea, My Lady. I don’t know any healer wolf whose high is rank.”

It was pretty understandable since Flora had only ever spent her life being a servant. She haven’t been socializing with others except the masters she served.

“I was there when Axel picked the healers who will support the fighters, but he didn’t mention any in-charge leader.”

“My Lady, you stand higher than any in-charge leader…” Flora smiled mischievously. “You were asked by the Alpha to come here, weren’t you?”

Sophie raised her brows, getting the servant’s naughty remark. Right. She was indeed asked by the Alpha to come here as his proxy. She should have the pass.

Sophie knocked on the wooden door. She stood straight to radiate poise and elegance. If she was going to lie here, she might as well be in character.

Although, the wolves inside wouldn’t be able to do anything even if she was found lying.

As Sophie stood before the door with her servant, Flora. She heard some voices inside. Sophie waited, for several seconds or so, before she knocked again. A little louder this time.

“Do you think they’re busy with the––‘’

Sophie’s words got hanged in the middle when the door suddenly opened. A woman with a formal attire, and a glasses showed up, holding the knob with the other side. She looked a little older, compared to the both of them. Sophie then assumed she was the in-charge leader she was asking for.

“Good day. I am sent here by the Alpha to check how things are going here…” Sophie formally spoke. “May I enter the sanatorium?”

The woman opened the door wide, bowing her head in the process to show respect in the presence of Sophie. “You may, Ms. Sophie. Please to have you inspect our practies.”

Sophie had almost giggled. The respect in her voice was something she didn’t expect because she look a little intimadating. Sophie had felt once again how the member of the pack, high ranked or low, respected Axel. It was the very same reason she was able to get herself inside, today.

Sophie took the luxury to step inside her white shoes. She could not help but roamed her eyes around, as if she was really there to inspect. The sanatorium looked old on the outside. But it was totally different inside. It looked carefully designed.

The interior was calming, and every little object inside was shining with cleanliness, like it was greatly in a thorough pair of hands.

Sophie was occupied by looking out in the whole room that she did not feel the stares of the wolves inside. She’s got everyone else’s attention, and she would not have found out if Flora didn’t clear her throat.

“Ms. Sophie Drie is here with us today to see our practices. You may not know but she also have the ability to heal, so I can assure you that she can relate and see through with our efforts.” The woman who let her in spoke. “By the way, I am Monique. We’re very please to see you.” She added, and offered her hand.

Sophie let out a smile, before she turned to the woman who claimed herself to be Monique. “Nice to meet you, Ms. Monique.”
