I never knew you had such a really cute cousin,” Ella said flirtatiously while batting her eyes sexily at me.
Me, cute? I pondered within me! L while trying to hide the stupid cocky smile that lingered at my side lips. Well, that's a first. I wonder if she will still think so if she gets to know who I am.
That I was born a bastard.
“hi my name is Bella, she said extending her hand for a handshake.
“Hi” I replied as I stretched my hand to join hers in a friendly handshake, well at least that was what I thought, till I felt her thumb caressing the back of my hand.
My eyes lingered a moment on her thumb before stylishly pulling my hand out of hers.
“do you mind joining us later today at my house, I'm organizing a little get-together” she quickly added, even though I think she looked great but I found myself not feeling her vibes?
Nevertheless, I was not going to turn down a friendly request especially since I think it might hurt my mate who appears not to be on the same frequency with Bella.
"sure, I will come,” I said and also giggled at my mate's disappointing look, karma is a bitch.
“cool. I will be expecting you, Kalus, I mean Kyle knows my place, don't be late” she said before walking out of the room with Vanessa following her.
I couldn't help but try to suppress a mischievous laugh to further piss off my already pissed off Kyle.
“Kalus such a funny name," I said quietly but enough for her to hear me.
“You have barely stayed here for a day and you are already driving me nuts," Kyle scolded with an irritated look.
“What did I do wrong I only accepted a friendly invite, I wonder why that would piss you off,” I said innocently.
“You don't even know her and you are already flirting with her" she snaps back.
“You sound like you are jealous, you are mated to Richard, remember?”
just then Vanessa walked back in and seem to be taken aback by the tension between Kyle's name i.
"come, kyle, it's getting late, let's go make dinner," Vanessa said pulling Kyle by her hand.
I let out a deep sigh as soon as she left and even though I'm eternally grateful to her for helping save my life, I was still very angry at her for daring to pick Richard over me and I was going to do all within my reach to make her feel the same amount of betrayer I felt all these while she was with Richard.
And this Bella girl will be my perfect tool to make her so jealous till she is unable to hide her true feelings which I am sure she is trying so much to hide.

“I may have forgotten to mention this earlier, your place is beautiful, and thank you so much for accommodating me," I said to Vanessa who seemed pleased with my compliment as a pretty soft smile littered her face.
we were all having dinner together and if I must admit it felt like I was having dinner with my family, I do understand my soul tie with Kyle, but what I didn't understand was why I felt comfortable with Vanessa.
I felt like I have known her all my life.
The chicken curry sauce on my plate tasted so good that I had to hold myself from closing my eyes to savor the bursting flavors in my mouth.
“This tastes good,” I said to the two women on the table with me.
“I'm glad you like it, Kyle made it,” Vanessa said wearing a proud look as she smiles at Kyle.
“Oh, so she can cook,” my wolf said happy to hear that his mate was the one that prepared the sumptuous food before us.
“Mmmm, just imagine, how deeply satisfying how her uncooked food would taste,” my wolf said, and from his voice, I can imagine him closing his eyes to imagine all sorts of nasty things.
“Is that all you ever think of?” I asked trying to push off erotic thoughts flooding through my mind.
“I am an eighteen years old wolf who has never felt the touch of a woman, what else should I be thinking of, or did I mistakenly tell you that I was a priest?” he questioned sarcastically.
“Fuck off,” I said shutting the motherfucker off, even though I had completely shut him off. I couldn't but reminisce on what he said.
My eyes involuntary went to where she sat, her midnight black hair flowing down her both shoulders, her face was makeup-free with little freckles around her nose. Her lips look so soft as she parts them to put in the fork that had a piece of chicken.
I fucking hate that spoon right now.
She lifted her face to look at me just in time for me to look away, I can't let her see me gushing over her.
“Sorry to ask Vanessa why did you call me Ivar earlier?” I asked a not so surprise looking Vanessa, and it seem my question got my mate's attention as she lifts her head to hear what Vanessa had to say.
Vanessa picked a towel to clean her mouth after munching the food she had in. After which, which she drank a bit of water from the glass cup before answering my question.
“I had a son once, I named him Ivar, he was my world but I lost him a long time ago, you sort of remind me of him,” she said thoughtfully.
“I'm so sorry about that, but do you mind me asking, what happened to him?” I asked out of concern, I have heard problems are less troubling once you share them with someone.
And somehow I just wanted to be a part of Vanessa's world.
“It's a very long sad story, one that I will talk about some other time,” she said with a faint smile.
I nodded my head faintly not in any making effort to push the subject any further. The room became quiet once more with just the sounds of the fork and spoons electrifying the room.
“I was going to ask for your permission, to allow kyle to accompany me to Bella's house this evening,” I said to Vanessa who quietly moved her gaze to me and Kyle.
“of course, you have my permission, but just ensure you come in early and stay of trouble, and also to be careful of Bella, her beauty comes with a lot of trouble," Vanessa said.
It is not a surprise that most guys will want to fight over Bella, she was indeed very beautiful, luckily for everyone in her case, I am not interested in her. I am just going to use her to get my girl closer to me.
My little witch might be troublesome but she is the one after my heart. My gaze shifted to her and I was astonished at how beautiful she was, it is indeed true that her beauty is not very obvious at first sight, but she makes my heart merry every time my eyes see her.
“Now If you will excuse me, I will be in my room,” Vanessa said as she stands up and walks into one of the two rooms in the apartment.
“I don't want to go to Bella's,” Kyle said as soon as she sees her mother get out of sight. It felt good to hear her voice again even though it was a bit sad, as she has been quiet all through dinner.
Her voice was down and I could tell that she has had not-so-good experiences with the so-called Bella. And the thought that they have hurt her made me so angry.
“You seem to forget that you are not going alone, I will be with you,” I said to her.
No one is allowed to hurt my mate, only I have the exclusive right to punish my mate if anyone else tries it.
