“Hmmm?” I moaned in irritation after a bright light forced my eyes to open.
“She is awake,” I heard someone say from my surroundings.
I then slowly opened my eyes but was almost blinded by the light on top of me.
‘Am I in heaven already?’ I suddenly asked after seeing an angel looking worriedly at me.
But wait... why does he look familiar?
Ack! Erase erase erase!
He is not an angel!
He is a devil, a monster, a rapist!
“Miss, how are you feeling?”
I slowly tilted my head and looked on my left side where I saw another man wearing a white gown which I confirmed to be a doctor.
“U-uh, I...”
“Easy, you do not need to get up if you can not,” he advised after I tried to get up from the bed.
I felt Ash’s hands helping me to get up but I immediately pushed them away.
I knew I am becoming rude right now but I can not stand the sight of this demon.
If I am just as powerful as he is, then I may have already killed him without hesitations.
“I can do it on my own,” I angrily announced before sitting.
I then looked at the confused doctor beside me and asked what happened.
As what I can remember we were still in the school clinic, why are we here now?
W-wait...
My head abruptly bowed down and looked at my legs where I saw the blood earlier.
“H-how was my baby?” I immediately asked full of worry.
“Your baby is fighting hard. It is just that your body is weak. The common things why this happen is because you are stressed. I advise that you leave the people who are giving you hard times or stress,” the doctor carefully explained and when he said those last phrase I could not help myself from looking at the other man in the room.
The doctor may have noticed my gaze so he immediately understood it.
“You heard what I said right? You should not give your wife a reason to get stressed.”
“What? I...”
“She is not my wife.”
My heart suddenly stopped beating after Ash’s statement.
I do not know if I was feeling hurt because I almost lost my baby or because this man denied about our relationship.
Wait.... What is our relationship in the first place?
What right do I have to feel hurt when we were just mere classmates.
But still! All of this should not be done if not because of him.
“Please tell her everything she needed to know. I will settle the hospital bills,” Ash spoke again before the doctor could even react.
I looked at the doctor and I can see confusion in his eyes.
Tsh, even I am is confused. If he did not want the baby then why did he bring me here?!
‘At least be thankful that he helped you!’
“Shut up! I am not asking for your opinion,” I yelled at my conscience which startled the doctor in front of me.
Maybe he is already thinking that I am crazy because I suddenly screamed out of nowhere.
“You were lucky that your boy friend brought you here earlier or else the baby might not be able to make it.”
A curl immediately formed on my forehead after the doctor’s statement.
“H-he... he is not my boy friend,” I stuttered.
“Yet.”
“What?” I asked in confusion.
“I saw how worried he was when he came in. He even asked for my first patient to reschedule his appointment just to make sure that I check on you first.”
I was speechless, the moment I heard the doctor explain.
“It was because I do not want to be responsible for her child’s death. I was with her when she fell unconscious,” a sudden serious voice silenced the room.
Tsk, I almost fell to the doctor’s statement.
How could I even think that Ash did this because he has a bit of conscience inside him?!
Idiot.
“I should go and let you two talk things out,” the doctor stated before rushing towards the door.
“Let us go,” I heard him say without showing any emotions.
I on the other hand rolled my eyes before standing up from the bed.
Was it just me or I saw him look worried?
Tsh, whatever I may just be hallucinating.
“I can walk by myself,” I immediately pushed him away after feeling his hands on my shoulder.
Before he could even react I abruptly walked towards the door to avoid him.
“Let me take you home,” I heard him say from behind.
I was walking fast since I do not want to walk beside him. Even though majority of the people in this city does not know that he is the queen’s son there will still be other people who will recognize him.
“W-wait.... what are you doing?!” I exclaimed in confusion after he pulled my hand to the parking lot.
“Stop complaining and be thankful,” he however replied and continued to pull me.
“No!” I yelled at him after gathering all of my strength to pull my hands back.
I glared at him, trying to scare him but was surprised after my feet suddenly left the ground.
It is then when I realized that Ash was carrying me.
“P-put me down!” I exclaimed in disbelief.
“I asked you nicely but you are so stubborn. Don’t move if you don’t want to fall,” he spoke without looking at me.
In the end, I found myself sitting beside him while he drives silently.
I was looking at him in the side of my eyes and I am really confuse unto what is running in his mind right now.
Why is he doing this when he does not want to acknowledge the child inside my stomach?
Ack, I do not understand him!
“What is it that you wanted to say?”
I was startled after he suddenly spoke.
“H-huh?” I asked like an idiot.
He however stopped the car and slightly tilted his body to look at me.
“Speak.”
