“Miss Cactaceae.”
I was surprised after the instructor came back and called for my name.
“Yes sir?” I asked while walking towards him.
“You are excused in our class but you have to create a 1,000 word essay about baseball. Are we clear?”
“H-huh?”
“I do not want to repeat my words again ms. Cactaceae. You may go back to your class room now,” he replied with a blank expression before walking pass through me and calling for my class mate’s attention again.
I was still in shock because of the instructor’s statement when I felt a sudden warm breathe in front of me. It was so soothing that I wanted to know where it was coming from not until...
“Will you back off?!” I scuff after realizing that Ash’s face was already one inch away from me.
But I was surprised when I heard him chuckle even with how rudely I pushed him back.
“Let us go,” he then suddenly went back to his serious expression before holding my hand and pulling me out of the gymnasium.
And in a few minutes we were already at the class room which was obviously empty since all of our class mates were at the gym.
Hmmm, I say this was the first time I saw our class room peacefully.
Without my class mate’s disgusted eyes when they see me walking inside the class room.
And since I always sat on the bleachers these past few days in our physical education class I was not able to enjoy this kind of peace.
“What are you still doing there?”
I was brought back to reality after realizing that someone is with me.
Tsh, Ash’s face is looking at me amusingly while sitting.
I then only rolled my eyes before walking towards him and stared back. “Stand up.”
“What?” He asked like he did not hear anything.
“I said stand up! That is my seat. Besides, why are you here in the first place? You should be at the gym,” I annoyingly stated.
He however only smiled at me before standing up and sitting on the chair beside me.
“Are not you going to sit?” He asked while watching me.
“Tsh,” I scuffed before sitting on my chair and preparing to write an essay about our instructor’s instruction.
A minute has passed and I can still sense that someone is watching me.
Ack, that is it.
I can not take this anymore.
“What is really your problem?!” I yelled at him.
He was obviously shocked with my sudden outburst but Ash immediately got his smile back. “I do not think I have one. What about you?” He asked sarcastically.
I was about to scream again when the doctor’s words replayed in my mind. ‘Inhale.... exhale...’
“Okay... Are not you going back to the gym? If I can still remember we have a class and...”
“And?”
I was stunned after his face was very close to mine for the second time this hour.
I could not continue my statement because my heart was beating very fast and my mouth would not cooperate since I can not focus.
“I....”
‘What is happening to you Myrtle?! Aisshhh you should push him!’
I screamed inside my mind but everything suddenly seemed frozen.
“Haha, you are so cute Daphne,” this man out of nowhere said before patting my head and getting back to his old position.
I on the other hand was still in great shock but I managed to bow my head and avoid his eyes.
Even though I already do not know what I was writing I still continued to scribble on my paper just to keep myself busy.
“T-thank you...”
Even I was surprised after I suddenly uttered those words.
I just could not help myself because I knew what he did a while back and it was to help me.
“For what?” He asked.
I knew he was staring at me but I did not dare look at him. I felt that in no time I will melt because of his stare.
“I know what you did a while back. You spoke to our instructor and convinced him to excuse me,” I continuously explained while focusing on my paper.
It was a long silence before I managed to raise my head up and look at him.
I was just curious that he suddenly became silent after my statement.
And there I saw sadness in his eyes while looking at the white board. It is as if his mind was already flying in the sky and that his body was only left on the ground.
Now that I was able to look at him carefully I realized that he does have the unique looks everyone in my class were screaming for.
His skin was so smooth and pale. Well, every vampire has that but the color of his skin was different. It makes him glow which emphasizes his pinkish lips.
“How was it?”
I almost fell on my seat after Ash suddenly spoke.
“W-what?” I asked in confusion.
“How was the view. Did you enjoy it?” He asked again before looking at my direction.
“W-what are you talking about?” I stuttered while pretending to look at my paper and avoid his teasing eyes.
I knew what he was talking about and....
“You have been staring at me for 5 minutes.”
Ahhhhh! That is so embarrassing!
“Ha! Do not be a full of yourself. I was not staring at you!” I defended but it only made him laugh.
“Oh really, does that explain why your mouth is already watery?” He asked while looking at my lips.
“It looks like you wanted to eat me,” Ash continued but this time the tune of his voice was different.
“Well....”
He stood up from his chair and moved closer to me.
Before I could even react his mouth was already on my neck which instantly brought shiver all the way to my spine.
I can hear him slowly breathing like he was carefully smelling me but I found myself unmoved.
W-why can not I resist?
“Do you want to eat me Daphne?” He suddenly whispered.
“W-what are you saying?” I asked while my whole body was already shaking.
Before I could even react he was already facing me and our eyes met in a flash.
I felt his hand carefully caressing my chin before going to my cheek.
He smiled sweetly before closing his eyes and tilting his head for a bit.
'Sh*t, should I close my eyes too?!"
