Blue's POV
Today's the first day of training . It's gonna be good cos Pearl and Alondra are there with me.
That morning was like heaven cos I'm starting a new chapter in my life and also the joy that i brought back Ivy safe and sound.
As I was walking to class... I bumped into Zara and the papers she held flew everywhere.
" Oh no... I'm so sorry" I apologized and helped her pick the papers.
" You're fond of saying sorry but never change from making mistakes" she stated bluntly and all the paper she had gathered were crumpled up in her hands.
I gave her the ones I picked and she turned to leave.
" Zara!!" I called softly and she stopped.
" What is it Blue?.... Just leave me alone" She said and turned to face me.
"Sorry w...." She said and her words seized.
She tried speaking again but she couldn't.
" Zara!.. Are you alright?" I asked and she looked at me confused.
She touched her neck and coughed many times but she couldn't speak.
She only made " Ahh ah" sounds but no words came out.
Then she ran off.
What has happened to Zara? .. she just turned dumb all of a sudden.
After staring in that direction for sometime and breathed out and went straight into the class.
The lectures were good and the recess bell rang.
Me and Pearl were on our way to Alondra's office when we came across The Cheetahs.
They looked so happy and it made me happy as well.
"Hey Blue!" They greeted and hugged me.
I already made new friends .
"So how are you?" Ivy asked and I smiled.
" I'm good," I replied.
" Well I just wanted to say thanks a lot for that saving... But didn't anyone miss me or ask about me?" She asked worriedly.
Her absence was kinda a relief for some students because of her bullying attitude.. but I couldn't tell her that.
"At least the people you love really missed you and that's all that matters" I replied and she nodded and looked at her friends then smiled.
Then she turned to look at Pearl who didn't even pay attention to anything we did.
" Pearl.. I just want to apologise for what transpired between us that day... The beating and so I'm really sorry" she pleaded and Pearl gave a light smile.
" No qualms" she said and we waved them a good bye .
We went straight to Alondra's office and I brought up Zara's topic on our way.
"Pearl... Something happened to Zara today" I said .
" What happened?" She asked a little not interested .
" We were talking and all of a sudden her voice seized.. she couldn't speak anymore" I said worried.
" Oh Blue.. maybe she did that cos she doesn't want to speak to you anymore" Pearl said and I shook my head negatively.
" No.. something within me just says that something is not right here... I can feel it" I said.
" Don't be too conclusive... You know Zara's angry with you so maybe you should just give her a little space" Pearl suggested.
" Space?" I asked.
" Just give her some time alone... She's angry now when it fades off she'll come back to her senses'' Pearl said and I nodded.
She's kinda right... Zara is angry, maybe that's why she stopped speaking to me.
Even though something doesn't seem right with that ... Pearl is my friend so I'll have to trust her.
I went into Alondra's office ... The door was surprisingly opened .. We walked in and also went past the wall at the other end.
And we met her there.
"Blue! just the person I wanted to see" she said excitedly.
"Are you ready for your first test?" She asked and I smiled.
" Yes" I replied with no doubts in my mind.
" Well today... We'll start with spells" She said.
" This is the most interesting part of being a mermaid," Pearl whispered in my ear.
Mermaid??.. I don't want to be called that yet.
She sat on the sand and did as well as Pearl.
" Water is the key to everything we do... Both spells and commands" she started
" Have you ever made a spell before or given a command?" She asked .
" For spells NO but for command a lot of times with my siblings" I replied and she smiled.
" When you make spells each line must rhyme with the next and the necklace should be wet" she said.
"The necklace has the ability to read your mind and heart so it knows what you want it to do" she stated .
" So the necklace has to be wet to make a command or spell" I said and she nodded.
I hate rhymes ... I'm terrible with rhymes .. this is gonna be hard .. second school.
"But how do you know all these things?" I asked .
" Well cos I'm a trained guardian " she said.
That means she's also a mermaid but where's her necklace?
" But where's your necklace?" I asked again.
" The first time we met I told you that everyone one that comes from the generation of warriors and Royalty has the necklace.. my ancestors weren't warriors or Royalty so I don't have a necklace" She justified.
" Oh.. yes I remember... So Pearl warriors or Royalty?" I asked her because she has the necklace.
" Royalty" she replied.... No wonder she addressed us in class as * men and women.. fishes of the sea*.
" I'm also a royal... So what color?" I asked.
" Green," she replied.
" Purple... " I said .
" It's good that both of you get along so well" Alondra said.
We stood up and went close to the sea in front of us but Pearl stepped forward.
She wet her hand and touched the necklace.
" Water water Arise in my command" she said and the water rises up.
It was enchanting and beautiful.
" Ability to command water is one of my powers" she said and moved the water around me and Alondra.
She can command water... The water moved according to the movement of her hand.
My first training was just too good... We stayed there , enjoyed ourselves and we went back to the office.
" Blue, so practice some rhymes when you get home today and tomorrow we'll try them out," she said and I nodded.
I and Pearl went out of the office and headed back to class before the second half of the lectures begin.
Unknown's POV
I see Alondra has two powerful puppets with her...
Here I am wandering around aimlessly.
I have to find and take one but who would it be?.
One is green, the other purple.
Purple possesses such immense power and I know more magic than Alondra.
Why don't I just guard the purple and Alondra can manage the green *chuckling mischievously*
But how will I get her... Oh I have a plan.
Blue's POV
The lectures were over and the closing bell rang...
The hallway was filled with students making exit but I focused my eyes on Zara ... See hasn't said a word since..
Something is wrong..
" Zara!" I called and walked up to her.
She looked like someone that had cried her eyes out.
" What's wrong Zara?" I asked slowly and she just shook her head.
She looked at me and a tear dropped , she touched her throat and she ran off.
" Wait Zara!" I called but she just ran off.
What's wrong with Zara...
" I think I know what's wrong with her" A voice said from behind and I turned...
There was no one there and conniption gripped me.
" Wh... who's there?" I stuttered and was scared.
" Hi.. I'm Kuda and you?" The voice asked.
