Season 1 Episode 30
Blue's POV
The thought of me being able to save Chels brought joy to my heart.
I was already 5 mins late for breakfast and I hurriedly freshened up and ran downstairs.
Everyone was having breakfast except me.
"Good morning everyone!" I greeted.
"Blue Givens.. I never knew that you would still come down for breakfast" mom teased.
"Mom.. I'm here now!" I said and she chuckled.
"She must be thinking about what to do next" Kuda or Chels said and I glared at her.
"What do you mean by what to do next?" Mom asked.
"Emm..mom she's just been Silly" I replied and she pushed her head.
She gave me a killer look and I looked down at my food immediately.
I have already promised myself that I'll bring my Chelsea back.
We ate in silence and got ready for school.
We walked straight outside .. Kayc and the driver went inside the car.
I was about to enter .. then Kuda held me..
"Next time you call me silly again.. I'll cut your sister's memory from the earth" She threatened.
Whaaat??
"Well you started it " I said not wanting to show how scared I was.
I was able to release myself from her grip and sat In the back seat.
She also joined me there and the driver started the engine of the car.
The gate man opened the gate and we drove out of the streets to the major road.
The drive to school was silent .. Kayc had his headphones on..
Kuda on Chels phone.. Witch!!
And I was just staring out through the window as the vehicle moved fast past tall buildings and people.
Time flew like the wind and we got to school quickly.
We alighted from the car and headed for our various destinations.
I went straight to Alondra's office .
I knocked and her sweet voice invited me in.
"Oh Blue ... Good morning" she greeted and stood up from her seat.
I saw the spell book on her table.. It seems she has been doing some research about Kuda.
"Good morning," I responded.
I sat on one of the beds and she sat facing me.
"Anything?" She asked and I lifted my gaze from the floor to her.
"I've finally arrived at a decision" I said and she nodded slowly.
" But isn't it too fast?" She asked.
Too fast??... My sister's life is on the line.
"Kuda gave me a time limit so I have till this evening to decide" I said and twitched.
This whole thing is like a circus ..
"I'm saving my sister first" I said and her eyes beamed.
"What?" Someone said at the door.
And we turned to look.
Pearl!!
"But then so many people will suffer for something they didn't commit," Pearl said, frustrated.
"So what are you insinuating?.. that I let my sister sacrifice herself for fish people" I retorted.
"This is the same reason humans and mers don't get along .. because you think we're low life " Pearl replied hurt.
"Since you're so concerned about them.. then go and sacrifice yourself" I said rudely and stood up to leave.
"Blue!" She called and I stopped.
"I'm sorry... Whatever decision you make I'm fine with it" Pearl said and I smiled.
"I'm also sorry.. it's just that this whole situation is not in my hands anymore but in that of destiny" I said and with that I left.
Alondra's POV
She's doing all she can to get her sister out of this magic mess.
Oh saviours have mercy...
"She's driven by so much love for her so-called sister," Pearl said.
"Whatever she's doing.. I just hope it comes with good results because this is gonna be a really dangerous battle" I replied..
"We'd be here to save her and help her so we'll take it.. for Blue" she said.
"For Blue!" I responded..
" Pearl pls help me call Mona and Melissa.. just send them a magical message like I taught you and Blue" I said and she had that surprised look on her face.
"But why?" She asked.
"Just do it.. and tell them the same place.. same time " I said and she left the office.
If Blue is willing to fight for her sister then I'll have to help her do something.
UNDERWORLD
Mona's POV
We were having breakfast in the dining area .. when I felt something tinkling me.
I felt it again and moved from the chair.
"Are you alright?" My mom asked.
"Yes mom.. excuse me!" I said .
"We're not allowed to leave the dinning except after we're done with breakfast," Aunt said.
It's really tinglish ... I almost laughed but held it in.
"Actually Aunt, I'm done with breakfast..and my head is spinning. I need to go and rest in my room" I said, holding my head like it's about to fall off.
She stared at me for a long time and I took my gaze to the floor.
"You may leave" she said and I didn't waste a second to jump from my seat.
Those three words meant a lot to me.
I swam back to my room and sat down.
The tingling sensation increased and I closed my eyes.
I saw a note when I closed my eyes.
*Dear Mona... It's Pearl. Alondra wants you and Melissa to come to land and discuss.. same place at same time.
It's about Blue and she choose her sister over the entire mermaid community*
I read and opened my eyes.
Oh no... Is Blue out of her mind?
How can she do that ?
This is not good at all.
LAND
Blue's POV
Lectures were over and I had to run home...
As I kept all my books in my locker Zara came up to me.
"Zara...!" I called .
"Hey Blue.. is everything okay?" She asked worriedly.
"Yeah sure.. why asking?" I asked with a little smile.
"Cos we haven't really spoken in two days now.." she said and I breathed out.
"Oh Zara... You'll have to follow me somewhere if you really want to know" I said and her eyes beamed.
"Okay... But where?" She asked.
"Meet me at the beach ... Around 4 okay?" I said and she nodded.
She was confused but she still nodded.
I ran to the car and sat down.. Chelsea sat close to me..
It was only I , Chels and the driver .. we were waiting for Kaycee.
"So have you thought yet?" She asked and I looked at her in disbelief.
"Well I'm just saying cos.. time waits for no man and time is also not on your side anymore" she said.
"Don't worry... I think I can think carefully and I don't need someone to give me a pushing head start" I retorted.
She frowned first but covered it with a smile.
"Tik Tok Tik Tok Tik Tok" she sang and laughed and faced the other side.
I felt like crying that time but I just held it in.
Kaycee came immediately.. We greeted him and he only waved.
Well he hardly talks.
The drive home was quick... I got to the gate and the gate was opened for us.
I came down and looked at her.. then a message came Into my phone from Alondra.
*Come to the beach now we'll be waiting*
I looked at the message in awe.
What do they want to say now??
I have a lot on my shoulders....I don't need more .
I got inside ...freshened up and ate a little before going.
I went back upstairs to inform Kaycee ... I went to my room for some cash and left immediately.
I walked down the street to the main road and called the first cabby.
The ride was a bit slow to me but I had to manage.
We got to the beach late but still early to me.
I went straight to the place we always stay and surprisingly I met everyone there.
Kuda's POV
A message came into her phone and immediately she read it she became restless.
Something is wrong somewhere
I followed her and watched her every move ...
She left the house quickly and I followed her immediately.
I also called a cabby...
"Follow that cab" I said to the cabby man .
They were quite slow .. we followed them and we got to the beach..
Beach??
What is she doing here?
I came down and paid the cabby..
I followed her slowly and she took a turn.
It was like they were having a meeting...
Alondra, Pearl, Those two others that looked really familiar.
Hmm...
Blue's POV
I met everyone there and I sighed.
"What is it again?" I asked and Mona shook her head.
"We don't want to talk you out of it... We just want to support you " Mona said and I looked at them in disbelief.
What has suddenly changed?
"So you want to help me get my sister back?" I asked ag..
I scoffed and looked back at them .
Aren't these the same people that ....
I didn't even know what to think
A smile crept on my face immediately .
"Thanks guys" I appreciated.
"But how do we stop Kuda?" Pearl asked.
"Well I'm taking the fight to the sea... Since Kuda is in Chels she'll be able to breathe there but immediately Kuda is out of her.. one of you will bring Chelsea to safety.. while I finish Kuda off" I explained and they nodded.
"Sounds like a plan then" Melissa said.
Then suddenly we heard claps and saw a shadow coming towards us... We all stood up and Chelsea stepped out.
"Kuda!!" Every call is simultaneous.
"Well I knew you were very smart Blue.. thank goodness I followed you only to find out what you planned for me" she said and we all stole glances at each other.
We came closer to us and I knew that it's time for the battle.
I ran up to her and pushed her into the sea .
"Oh!" They shouted.
"Pearl, Mona and Melissa come with me" I said and we jumped into the sea.
I transformed immediately and saw the beautiful sea...
The fishes big and small... The flowers... The light penetration..the different kinds of weird animal things..
It was amazing but I couldn't enjoy the view for long cos that witch Kuda swam to us.
I swam towards her and pushed her down into the sea..
We went to the sea depth and the real fight began.
"Are you gonna back down now or will you rather get beaten first? '' I asked and she laughed maniacally.
"Do your worst" she dared and anger ate me up from inside.
I held water balls in my hand and threw it at her but she dodged it
She talked to some fishes and a large colony of them came running towards us..
"Retreat!!" Melissa shouted.
They saw fish and their long thing in front looked really sharp.
We swam very fast and went Into a hole .. that didn't know ..
They swam past the hole and we breathed out a huge sigh of relief with my hand on my chest.
We have to make a plan.
"Melissa, can you control her physical stability.. I want you to weaken her" I said .
"Piece of cake" she responded.
"Pearl, I need you to use those seaweeds to hold her down," I said .
"No problem," she replied.
"Mona... Fill her heart with regrets.. I want you to make her sad, `` I said .
"I'll try to cos Kuda is very strong," she said.
"This is our last hope.. pls use it wisely" I said and they nodded.
We came out and didn't see Kuda anywhere...
"Where's she?" I asked.
"I know where she is.. follow me" Mona said .
We followed Mona and we came across a huge slope hill.
We swam from underneath it.. it was kinda hard for me but for the others very easy...
We swam up and looked and behold ...
Oh my God
This beautiful place... There were mermaids everywhere...
Wow!!
"Welcome to our home,"Mona said.
We saw Kuda from afar... She was threatening the people and everyone swam to hide in their various Pearl shaped houses.
"Let the plan begin" I instructed and they all went to their various locations to exercise what they were told.
Melissa started by sending water waves at her which really slowed her movement.
Pearl controlled the sea weeds underneath her ... She made them grow long and tied her up like ropes.
I saw a far and enclosed place.. there were guards everywhere around it.
That must be the legendary Royal Dome.
Mona managed to control her emotions.. She looked like someone who is sorry for whatever she's doing.
I went up to her and cast a spell on her.
*As light resides in hearts of those that understand
Let Kuda be gone forever and now...
I said and closed my eyes...
The purple light was so powerful that I think it would also show on land.
The force at which I cast the spell really shook the sea and made heavy and big waves that swept us off our feet.
We managed to balance ourselves and jubilated for a while..
I Went straight to where Chelsea was .
Whaaat??
Where's Chels?
"Chels" I called but all to no avail.
"Where's my sister?" I asked them .
I was already panicking cos..
Did I banish my sister too..
Oh no.. this is bad.
I swam back to the surface short of words.
Alondra and Zara were there and she threw a napkin...
I cleaned my necklace.
" Where's Chelsea and the others?" Alondra asked and I stood up weakly..
I broke down into tears because what I was thinking about shouldn't be true.. that was my only prayer.
"Blue!" Zara called and I embraced her.
"My Chelsea is gone" I said.
She gasped and also hugged me.
"This is all my fault," I said.
"No it's not.. you tried your best" Ally said.
"Blue.. She told me everything" Zara said ..
Pearl, Mona and Melissa came up and shook their heads..
I killed my own sister...
I stayed very late on the beach and the impact of what happened also shook the people on the beach.
I went home with Zara, Pearl and Alondra..
We got home and everyone looked tensed up.
"Blue!!" Mom called and hugged me.
"Why are your eyes swollen?" She asked.
"Where's your sister?" She popped the question.
"Chels is no more... She has left us" I said and hugged her.
Kaycee and Dad were both in Shock.
"Whaaat?" What said in disbelief.
"No.. you're joking.. stop joking and call your sister Chels for me" mom said and Alondra went up to her.
"Take it easy.. Blue tried all she could to save her but.." Alondra said and I breathed out.
# THREE LATER DAYS #
It's been three days since Chelsea's death and all I could do was stay in the house and bore in my sorrows.
Laughter had gone somewhere ...everywhere is so dry and unpleasant.
I couldn't help but go to Kaycee all the time.
He's twin just left this world
.. it really shook him though.
I was in his room looking at some photos of the three of us when we were kids.
"I really miss her a lot" Kaycee said and tried very hard not to cry but a tear still rolled down.
I left him in his room cos I really wanted to pour out my sorrows but not in the house.
I left home and took a cabby.. Dad has not been himself ever since the incident .. he couldn't even find his daughter's corpse to bury ..it really pained him.
Mom is in a very bad condition.. She's at home but her mind is somewhere else.
I went to the beach.. paid the cabby.. and stared Into the sea as the moonlight reflected on it.
I went to the lonely part of the sea.
I sat and thought of Chelsea as I sat on a rock and cried more.
"Why did you have to leave?" I asked amidst my tears.
"I didn't go anywhere," a voice replied.
I flinched and jumped on my feet ..
Oh My God..
Chelsea?
"I never left" she said again and I pinched myself..
I blinked numerous times and she was still standing there.
"Is it so hard to believe?" She asked.
She was dressed in all white..
"Chels" I called slowly.
I ran to hug her but I only went through her.
I looked down and cried.
"Why did you leave?" I asked.
"Wipe your tears Blue.. I never left" she said.
"Come back Chelsea.. cos everyone is missing you" I said .
"It's not about me coming to Blue.. with the state of the house I wouldn't want to come" she said and I wiped my tears.
"Why?" I asked.
"I want you to go back home and make things right ... That's the only way I'll come back" she said.
"You're the new Chelsea.. so take up that responsibility and make things right.. do not put all my teachings to waste" she said and I laughed.
She's still the same.
"If you want me to really come back then restore the house" she said and I smiled ...
" Remember I'm always and will always be with you" she said and moved back.
Huh!.. Where is she going?
She moved into the sea and waved a good bye..
The breeze blew and she disappeared .
I reminisced about the whole scenario again and smiled.
I took a cabby home. I got there quickly and saw everyone seated in the living room .
Perfect!!
"Where were you Blue?" Mom asked hoarsely.
"I spoke to Chelsea " I said and mom shook her head.
"Really.. She said she's gonna come back only if the atmosphere of the house changes.. we all know if Chels was here she'll make us laugh all the time" I said and mom laughed.
"Our more demanding daughter" Dad teased and I smiled.
"My troublesome sister," Kaycee said.
They all started talking and for the first time in 3 days.. I could feel that something positive will happen.
I could feel the positive vibes and I looked up only to find Chelsea staring at the whole family... She had smiles on her face.
she gave me a thumbs up and smiled.
The whole family talked and I excused myself.
Chelsea actually came..
"I told you I'll come" she whispered in my eyes and I turned.
She waved goodbye and walked out of the house like a human and I smiled.
I'm gonna miss you Chels.
I walked up to my room and sat on my bed.
I took off the necklace and kept it in my last draw...
I laid on my bed and her images replayed in my head.. of all the times we spent together.
