CHAPTER 91
MONTANA'S POV
I was certain I was red. I was blushing so much and giggled softly as I rested on Lincoln's chest, and he had his arms around me, protectively.
"You do not know how long I have been dying to do that," He said softly, kissing my hair and rubbing it.
"Me too", I murmured, "Your fault we had to wait this long for this."
"I accepted", He chuckled.
"We should go check on the kids," I suggested to him.
"We should."
That night, we both stayed in Zane and Zendaya's room. Slept there even.
Most especially stayed there to watch over Zendaya, because she was still asleep and had not woken up yet.
The healer also had told us earlier that she will need some rest as her body is weak. Aside from the knife stab and the beating she took earlier, nothing else had happened.
It was such a relief to hear that.
I could only hope she would be able to heal from this trauma, and it will not affect her.
Later that night, I heard someone coughing and on instincts, I was already up to check.
I thought I was the only one who woke up, only to see even Lincoln alert. I laughed softly and whispered, not wanting Zane to wake up, "I think she is up."
"W-water", we both heard Zendaya say softly, and quickly I rushed and took the water in a bottle with a straw and put it on her lips.
"Open up, sweetheart," I told her as Lincoln rubbed her hair and pecked her forehead.
Zendaya did as she was told and sipped the water. She nodded her head, signalling that she was okay with the water, and so I removed it, covered the bottle and kept it on a table.
"How you feeling, princess?", Lincoln asked her. I knew he was worried behind all those strong and cold faces he puts up sometimes.
Zendaya tried to stand up and we both assisted her, also sat on her bed with her as she rested on her father, "Much better, it does not hurt that much."
"And what about inside?", I asked her this time, "Emotionally, Mentally."
"I was so scared, mum", she murmured, her breath shaking a bit. Lincoln and I, immediately hugged her, and before you knew it, Zane too.
Had no idea when he woke up.
"I was so scared, but I also knew you and father would come for me, you guys did", she gave a small smile.
"Always my princess," Lincoln told her and showered her with kisses.
We talked a little and I made sure to let her know that if maybe she feels bad or hurt, memories of what had happened, she should always come to us and not handle it by herself.
I made her promise. I do not want to see my daughter suffer in silence, even though she might do it not to get us worried.
"Let us worry," I told her, "It is our duty to worry, whether you tell us or not, and you will tell us, okay?"
She agreed and nodded, "I am h-hungry."
Immediately, Zendaya informed us, her stomach rumbled.
We all laughed and Zane teased her about it, making her laugh truly for the first time since she was taken.
"Well I think we should all go to the kitchen and whip up something, get anything to eat because I am also hungry," Lincoln suggested.
We all agreed. I could do with some food or snacks.
In the end, I cooked a meal, simple and quick meal for all of us, and then we also had some snacks while sitting in the sitting room and watching movies.
The next morning, we were woken up by a pair of eyes staring down on us. It seemed like Lincoln and me, with the kids had slept off why watching the movies, with snacks in our hands, all cuddled up together.
Then I heard a click and rubbed my eyes. Victoria was taking pictures. Ugh! I would look like shit in that, "Cute family", she squealed happily, "When will I have mine?"
Who is she asking that question?
I was not even going to answer her as I sat up.
"Soon, if you change your character", Lincoln responded with a scoff.
"There is absolutely nothing wrong with my character, brother", Victoria scoffed back at Lincoln.
"That right there, is why you are still single," Lincoln told her, making me laugh at their little banter.
They never try to stop getting on each other's nerves at all.
"And what about your character?", Victoria tried to fire back.
"I changed it, right? And now I have the love of my life with me and two bundles of blessings," Lincoln answered her proudly.
I could not help but blush. I saw what he did there.
Victoria had no comeback anymore and just kept quiet after but murmured, "Whatever."
Lincoln carried Zendaya up to their room and I carried Zane. They deserve more rest.
And as for me, later in the day. Lincoln had informed me that I would have to address the pack as news about what I did at Finn's pack had spread.
Whispers of the werewolf royal family still alive.
I knew a time like this would come and I was ready for it, although I did not expect it to be this soon. But anyway, here I am now, and I am going to cross that bridge
For the next few days, my life has been perfect, I would say. I still punished Lincoln a bit, keeping him on probation after our kiss because I knew he would be eager to hold or touch me, we made it all fun.
But still him wanting my attention, the care, the love, it was so sexy and damn I was on too deep and so was he, who knows if he was even deeper with the way he was acting? Love it though, a lot.
Hehe...
One night I decided to pay Lincoln a little visit in his room, "It is me," I answered, when he asked who it was.
"The door is open, come in."
I opened the door and went in. I rested my back on his door, watching him as he had not looked at me get while he was working on some paperwork, I think.
I bit my lips for a second and then said, "Daddy, may I ask you something?"
