Gwen was following the director of the department with her two fellows. She was about to get permanent job at the company and couldn't be more happy about it.
She entered in the office and took her seat feeling excited.
"Sign the contract." The director asked them and they took the paper in front of them.
As they signed it, the director congratulated them. Now they were official worker and he could bully them as much as he wanted.
"Let's go for dinner together tonight. It will be my treat." He announced.
After the office hour, Gwen picked her stuff and quickly left the office as she was late and everyone else was already left for dinner.
She entered the lift where already a lady was standing. She quickly greeted her who nodded.
"Are you the new employee who signed the contract today?"
"Yes." Gwen smiled.
"I am CEOs secretary. If you need help, do tell me."
"Thank you." Gwen smiled and nodded. Today was a happy day for her and she was enjoying it a lot.

Sian looked at the clock which was showing that it was nearly 8pm but still there was no sign of Gwen. He picked his phone and called her number. After few bells, Gwen cut the call.
Sian stared at the screen coldly. He couldn't believe she cit his call. He again called her but she cut his call again.
"Hey, why are you calling me like that?"
He turned his head and saw Gwen entering while holding a bag in her hand.
Sian didn't say and again start watching TV.
"I brought food. Did you eat dinner?" She asked him while sitting beside him and putting the bag on the table. She opened it and took pizza and wings out of it. She then got up and walked towards the kitchen and came back with two glasses and ranch.
"Why are you eating such unhealthy food?" Sian scrunched his nose while Gwen chuckled.
"I got permanent today."
She sat and filled her glass with cold drink. Soon she started eating her food without inviting Sian. Sian knitted his brows angrily. He wanted her to invited him again but seemed like she didn't care.
But for Gwen, they were friends and friends don't need such formalities.
Sian picked a piece of pizza and slowly start eating.
"You know, I met Debra today and she said that if I ever needed help I can ask her."
Sian who was about to bite stopped and looked at her. He sneered.
"Debra is my secretary."
"I know." Gwen attached wings.
"I am CEO of the company."
"I know." Gwen told him.
Sian didn't know what to say more. Gwen put the bones on the table and turn towards him.
"But I don't know you at work."
"I am still your husband."
"No, we are friends." Gwen corrected him.
"And we don't know each other at work."
She got up and yawned.
"I am going to sleep."
She walked towards her room while Sian crushed the wing in his hand. He was angry because she took his words seriously.

Sian got up from his bed and walked towards the kitchen. He was trying to sleep but was unable. He was feeling restless like he was missing something but couldn't figure out what.
He opened the fridge and poured a glass of milk for himself.
He drank it but couldn't get satisfy. He came out of the kitchen and knocked at Gwen's room. Few minutes later she opened the door while looking annoyed.
"Can you make me a glass of milk?"
She squinted her eyes but nodded anyway. Sian sat on a couch while Gwen went inside kitchen and pored cold milk in a cup. She put two spoons of red syrup and brought the cup to Sian.
Before going back to her room she wondered how spoiled was he who couldn't even make himself a cup of milk.
"Spoiled old ghost."
She gave him a new name.
