CHAPTER TEN
CAMILLE'S POV :
Now at the Two Moons Pack.
I was so frustrated. Yes he called me but I didn't expect him to make me dance on hot coal. I'm sure he noticed how red my face and feet was and how I was about to faint, that's why he let me go. Hasn't he done enough already, isn't he satisfied? What have I ever done to deserve all this hurt and torture from him , my own mate. I cried out.
"Why does he hate us so much?" Lunaris asked with so much pain in her voice, I could actually taste it. My feet was scorched already, it hurts so much. Ivy's mum was the one who helped me treat the burns, she gave me a questioned look but I shook my head and told her not to worry.
Speaking of Ivy, she had found her mate and left and they were together now. She came to visit as much as she can , how I miss her so much but I'm glad she's happy.
"I dunno why he does but I'm not taking this anymore, I wasn't born to suffer and be a slave to some rude Alpha with no manners".
The next morning I got up I went straight to were the council always gathered. I never stopped sneaking to watch people train and when the guard stopped me with his hands, I was polite enough to tell him let me in. I had an important message to pass to the council.
"I suggest you back down and go back to your duty" he growled at me. That pissed me off the more, I wasn't even in a good mood. I twisted that hand he laid on my shoulder to stop me and kicked him where the sun shines. He groaned and fell to the ground.
"And I suggest you keep your filthy hands to yourself" I spat, crossing him and pushed the door open and went in. I was met with set of eyes and the eyes of the King and Queen. I was a bit scared but where I had the courage to speak up was what i don't know, it was like the fire in me was burning so much that I couldn't hold it in any longer .
"Good day to all the Council members, and God day King and Queen" I bowed as I greeted them . I'm sure someone linked a guard to come take me away but I immediately asked for some time and the King let me speak.
"I have come to discuss a matter with you all, if I may?" I asked politely. The King gave me a hand to continue. I felt Aiden's eyes on me but I ignored it.
"I want to leave the Pack, I have stayed here for too long against my will and I am done being your slave. I wasn't born to be your slave either, my father is Rex Ryder and as a heir from a warrior, with the warrior Gene in me, I won't let it go to waste. I am born a soldier and that is what I will be, I know you said I am here because I'm destined to suffer for my parents mistake but I have done more than that, they didn't even do anything" I cried out.
"So please let me go". When I was done, nobody said a word , I waited for them to say something, it was getting irritated. Then Aiden laughed , followed by his Luna.
"My sincere apologies your highness, I think this maid of a girl has dreamt beyond her imaginations and is now seeing things. I'll handle her and that mouth of hers" he said to the King.
I was expecting someone to stand up and maybe defend me or do something but no one did. Aiden ordered his guards to take me away and lock me up in the dungeon.
All by myself in this cold dungeon I cried and cried cause i didn't understand any of it. I could tell that even my mate wouldn't accept me because I'm a servant. But what I don't understand is why I was being tortured , tortured physically, Not only physically but emotionally as well but still wouldn't let me go.
The guards paid no attention to her but one of them was kind enough to ask if she needed a glass of water which she nodded.
ALPHA AIDEN'S POV :
Was Camille really serious, she just barged into this place like she owns the building and started spilling out trash from her mouth. Was she so eager to leave that she had to lie like that. But after some thoughts about it , something just wasn't adding up. I noticed she wasn't allowed to leave the house,I myself hadn't given her that rule. It was like she was imprisoned but I never noticed.
After the meeting, I and my Luna left to our room.
"You know that maid had some nerves coming in there today, her throat should have been slit at such disrespect" Laila said as she changed into something comfortable. I haven't been able to be intimate with Laila, I just couldn't if she was getting dirty with another man. She thought I didn't notice but I decided to keep it myself.
The minute she uttered those words of slitting Camille's throat, I growled at her, I was the only one that had the right to hurt her, no one else. She heard it and was rather surprised.
"Is it something I said?" She shivered at my growl.
"I'm not In the mood to have a talk Laila" I dismissed the conversation, giving no room for any more talks as I freshened up. I was gonna rest a little but I just needed to know something about Camille. So I went down to my office and looked for something that could give me information about her, asked the guards to get me information also.
I did some research and found out that she indeed was telling the truth, Camille was from a noble family that was once top rank in the army and was serving punishment for childish crimes. Hmm things just got interesting.
CHAPTER ELEVEN
CAMILLE'S POV :
I've been here for a few days now, no one has come to visit except Miss Clara. I don't know how she did it "Chuckles" but she did.
"Well I need to give her the food myself young man" I heard her say to one of the guards.
"I can help you do that ma'am" he argued back.
"Maybe you want to be starved before you will let me through right?" I could feel her smirk as she protested. After everything they let her through and opened the gate for her.
"Oh my sweet girl" she rushed to my side, giving me a hug. I haven't eaten any good thing,I was glad she came.
"I stink Miss C" I said as I pushed her away a little but she swat my hand away.
"Oh please, who cares. I'm just so happy to see you,I know you haven't been eating well and I couldn't just let you not so I got some food. Common eat up" she ordered as she served me food. While I was eating so fast , tears rolled down my face. She was so good to me.
I sniffed.
"Sweeetie what's wrong" she came closer as she raised my head up and cleaned my eyes.
"I just don't know how to thank you for all these years. I'm just so very glad I met someone like you here" I hugged her as tears flowed from me eyes.
"Shhhh it's okay, don't cry. I would do this a thousand times, your like a second daughter to me even though I didn't give birth to you but I love you as much. Ivy is also very worried, I panicked when I heard you were sent here but now I've seen you I can assure her that you will be fine. So you are loved darling, now eat up, i don't want to see a single grain remain".
I giggled and cleaned my eyes, her cooking was just so sweet. When I was done, I helped arrange the plates and she left but not without promising to try and be able to come see me. Miss C has always loved cooking for people, though she had some help in somethings like slicing, etc. She is a great cook.
After that wonderful meal, I went to bed. Yeah, there's a little bed there, it's a bit cold here because I have no blanket , just my old clothes.
I'm glad at least I wasn't laying on the bare floor.
How did my life get to this? I thought again. I remembered when Dad use to encourage me anytime I would want to give up because I was too tired.
"Your a strong, courageous my little warrior. Just have patience and when it's time , you will know " he always said and my mum will kiss my head and urge me to continue. Patience , just patience and I will surely leave the hell hole of a life.
Holding on to the piece I had left of them on my neck , I slept off.
It was already late at night when I was awoken by one of the guards.
"Here" he tossed a blanket towards me. With sleepy eyes I took it and muttered thank you.
"But who gave this to me?" I asked, my curiosity getting the best of me.
"The Alpha" he responded, leaving and locking the gate.
Aiden? To say I was shocked was an understatement. He hasn't even come to see me since him and his Godforsaken Luna put me in here and now he gives me blankets? Something inside me was a bit happy though that he did.
A small part of me had hope he would come, even if was just to see me or anything but he didn't. I just don't know what to think of him anymore.
"Mate cares, maybe a little bit" Lunaris muttered. Oh she's awake.
"Well I don't really know Luna, we can't trust him now. We are going to have to find a way to leave because I don't think we will ever be accepted".
"Maybe he will change he's mind about us. His Wolf has been trying to reach out to me, I can feel it but the bond isn't strong enough" she whined sadly.
"He threw us into the dungeon Luna. What mate does that kind of thing? He hasn't even come to to see us" I just couldn't hold in the tears that rolled down my face as I remembered everything he has done to me.
"I'm sorry Camille, let's not talk about it anymore okay? I don't want you to be sad, I'll also get very sad" she said trying to calm me down , my whole body was shaking. I used to blanket to warm us up a bit. This place just had to be so damn cold.
Giggling I heard Luna say "you are indeed a funny human, you cry then curse". I chuckled at what she said.
"Well...... What can I do". I cleaned my eyes. We continued talking and talking and talking of different things, she actually succeeded in getting my mind of things that will make me think.
I want to believe there is hope for us too, I want Luna to be happy too but I don't see any hope. Nothing has changed since the first day I got here, instead it all became worse as the years flew by.
I don't want us to get our hopes up and it will be crushed later. It's better If I try not to expect anything, I thought. Luna had gotten tired and retreated to sleep but I couldn't sleep anymore, just thinking of a way or a miracle or something.
I still remembered my aunt, I wonder how she's doing. She must have aged by now , oh how I miss her so much.
I'm sure they didn't let her see me , that's why she wasn't her . I know my aunt will never abandon me but she had no choice.
Moon Goddess, please let her be safe.
