Claimed By The Ruthless Alpha Chapter 84

CHAPTER EIGHTY THREE

CAMILLE'S POV :

With a final look at the fallen wolves, I turned and began to make my way towards the nearby river, which I just sited, looks like the perfect place to wash up and change back to my human form.

As I walked, I could feel the familiar sensation of my body shifting and contorting. My four legs became two, and my fur receded back into my skin. I was in my human form again.

Naked I stumbled towards the river's edge. The cool water felt refreshing against my skin as I waded in. I used handfuls of river water to clean myself up as much as I could, scrubbing away the blood and dirt from my skin. Once I felt clean enough, I reached into my backpack and took out a set of clothes, quickly getting dressed.

I had to find somewhere to stay and spend the night. Then continue my journey the next day, the I can look for what to eat.

I brought out the map as I followed the direction. When I was done, I kept it back in my bag as I undressed, not wanting the shred my clothes. This is stress, why did I put it on the the first place. Changing back in my wolf for and the bag in my mouth, I took off.

I have been running through the forest for hours, my feet pounding against the soft earth as I pushed myself forward. I was determined to reach my destination, at least half before I rest for the night.

As the sun began to dip below the horizon, my energy began to flag. I knew that I needed to find somewhere to spend the night, but the dense forest seemed to offer no shelter.

Just as I was about to give up hope, I spotted a dark shape looming up ahead. As I drew closer, I realized that it was a cave. I approached it cautiously, not sure what to expect. But as I peered inside, I saw that it was dry and relatively warm, with a small fire pit dug into the ground. I dropped my bag there as I went out to at least hunt for food.

I set out into the forest, to catch my own meal. I haven't had anything to eat since morning and I was so famished. As I prowled through the trees, my keen senses picked up the scent of a nearby deer. I crept up on my prey, silent and swift, and soon had it caught in her grasp, after attacking.

I quickly dragged the deer back to the cave but I was going to cook it outside the cave, I changed back to my human form, going into the cave and dressing up. Coming out, I gathered some dry branches and kindling for a fire. Using some stones I found nearby, my father had showed me this before and I hope I get it right and it works. I struck them together to create a spark and soon I had a flame going, oh hallelujah. I began to roast the deer over the fire.

As I waited for the meat to cook, I used a nearby stream to clean the inside of the deer. I was so grateful I saw it, cause I had no water or anything for washing. Moon Goddess seems to be helping me out,I said smiling to myself. Once the meat was cooked to my liking, she tore into it hungrily, savoring the taste of fresh meat.

Satisfied and content, I sat by the fire, watching the embers glow in the darkness of the forest. When I was done eating, I cleaned everything up, not leaving a sign. Just In case, I didn't want anyone knowing I was here.

I went into the cave with a sigh of relief, I settled down for the night. I built a small fire and curled up beside it, grateful for the shelter that the cave provided. As I drifted off to sleep, I knew that I would be able to continue my journey in the morning, refreshed and renewed.

Next Morning....

I woke up in the cave, groggily trying to shake off the grogginess. I felt a weight on my chest and opened my eyes to find a snake, coiled and ready to strike, inches from my face. Its beady eyes seemed to mock me as it opened its mouth, revealing venomous fangs glistening in the dim light. I froze for a moment in terror, but then a surge of adrenaline kicked in, and I knew I had to act fast. I reached out as the snake wanted to attack and grabbed the snake by the neck. I felt its muscles wriggling and squirming, but I held on tight. With a powerful flick of my wrist, I flung the snake against the cave walls with all my might. The snake hit the wall with a sickening thud and fell to the ground, dead.

I laid there for a moment, panting and my heart pounding in my chest. I couldn't believe I had just saved my own life. I felt a surge of gratitude and also felt proud of myself for the quick thinking and strength. I knew I had to get out of the cave as soon as possible and continue my journey.

Checking the map once again, I transformed into my wolf as I followed directions and ran.

As the I ran alone through the forest this morning, my powerful legs propelled me forward with ease. The trees passed by in a blur as I focused on reaching my destination.

Finally, I reached my destination and came to a stop at a tree near the border. I transformed back into my human form, quickly getting dressed . I looked around, taking in the guards standing watch at the border. I knew that I had to be careful, for the guards would not hesitate to attack me if they suspected anything bad ,but I came with peace.

I took a deep breath and walked towards the border. I could feel the guards' eyes on me as I approached, but I kept my head held high and my expression neutral.

"Stop" they ordered, "what are you doing here girl?".

I cleared my throat as I spoke, "I'm here to see my aunt, Aunt Zara".

"How do we know your not lying?" One of the questioned.

I brought out the letter that she left for me and showed it to them.

"Hold on", I waited as one of them went to verify the information. After a while I was allowed to pass through, I was showed the direction of the house. Getting there I saw a woman running out who was my aunt.

She stopped looking at me from afar as I stopped too. I couldn't believe I found her.
