Covet Me, My Heartless Alpha Chapter 12

I couldn’t sum up how many hours, days… and weeks I had counted as I blankly stared at the silent door, waiting for Jaxon to burst it open and point at me with his sore finger like I did something horrifying again. The last convo we had was the last time I saw him.

In the past, I desired to be alone, not disturbed, and just locked myself up. However, to my surprise, I was alone in this room with Morgan now, yet I was saddened by it. That small amount of time I had with Jaxon made me get used to it. He didn’t even pamper or console me, but why did I feel this way?

I heaved a last glance at the door before finally turning my back on it and picking Morgan in his crib. His feature started to develop, his tan color was slowly revealing, and he could completely open his mouth and eyes now—how I wished his father could witness this little progress of his.

I smiled when Morgan opened his eyes again and laughed with his small voice—along with his giggle was a sudden knock on the door. As much as I wish it would be Jaxon, that would be just a delusion.

I dragged my feet toward the door as Morgan was in my arms. I didn’t raise my eyes and just played with my son using my fingers. Expecting it would be the servant that brought my food, I was surprised by the voice that reverberated to my stomach. It stayed on my flesh part, and I wanted to puke with the excitement I felt.

"I have heard of a werewolf rejecting their mates, but I didn't see anyone who didn't even so much as glance in the direction of their mates as they arrived.” My left cheek was brushed with a warm breath as a pair of fingers lifted my chin and compelled me to look into his eyes. “To conceal your mistakes, a french kiss would be sufficient.”

I was startled and took a step back, but before I could detach my body from his, he grabbed my waist, and in a blink of an eye, Morgan was no longer in my arms but in his. I couldn’t open my mouth to protest since my lips were already sealed with a soft and possessive of his.

After a long kiss, it made me breathless, and he was now forcing my lips to open using his tongue. If Morgan was not just between us, his hands probably traveled everywhere. I sleepily gazed at his drunk eyes and pondered who caused them to be like that. Was it because of our interplay?

My mind was lost for the second time when he succedfully envaded my tongue. I could feel his scorching air penetrating my inside. I was caught in a predicament wherein I could no longer run away. This man’s arms were iron steel and he wouldn’t let me go—just like a owner to his slave.

“What did you do while I was away?” he asked and left my swollen red lips. He licked his lower lips like he tasted a sweet candy.

A loneliness run back in my memories and replied, “I didn’t even know you went somewhere else.”

“I forgot to ask Uriel to rely the message.” He shrugged.

‘Just like that? Leaving me like some street cat without a word and coming back and expecting me to wait just like a dog to his owner while sticking its tongue?’

A little bit of sultry, I shut my mouth and came back to the bed. He didn’t even sent Yora to my room after he promised to call her... well, he didn’t promise it, he just said he would call her. But shouldn’t he at least perform it before he left?

I was getting pressed to know more about that woman, so I was feeling frustrated. Hearing about her left and right but couldn’t make out of her name made me want to explode with curiosity.

With my thoughts drowned about the woman, a mouth watering scent suddenly made me stop and wanted me to salivate. I raised my head to see where it emanated— of course, from Jaxon.

The scent wanted me to knocked senseless. It was a sweet lavender aroma with a little bit of kick strong in it. I took a whiff on it like some drug... and yes, it was a drug.

A drug that came from this tall, tan, and cold blue-eyes man.

My heart thrashed with different emotions, the “drug” made me feel more dizzy. As I didn’t take away my eyes from him, he posed a smirked. I seemed to fed his ego as I wasn’t under influence around of this man anymore.

Was that alright? To feel something toward the person you hoped to hate to its core? The fact that I was mesmerized by him instead rejecting these tingling feeling made me more guilty about my old pack.

However, no matter how much alluring and tantalizing his scent was, the fact that I was wolf-less made me wonder if he was my mate.

I snapped back to my reverie and jolted to my position when another knocked came. I was sure this time that it was finally the servant who everyday came to deliver foods— but it was another mistake of mine.

“Jaxon, I just fixed my room. I asked Yora and said you were here,” a sweet voice spoke and directed her eyes to Jaxon.

Jaxon moved his head, replied with quite voice, making sure Morgan wouldn’t wake up, “I told you to let the servant handle it.”

“I didn’t have things to do, this much will do to kill time,” she said.

I gulped and smiled discreetly as I watched them. I didn’t notice Morgan was already asleep again. When the woman spotted my son, her eyes sparkled and I was bear to observe them like they were their own family.

But there was something I discerned. Jaxon hadn’t changed his expression since the woman entered. His face remained expressionless and didn’t even dare to look at the woman, on the other hand, the joyfully woman could throw herself in his arms.

“Helen, it’s still early in the morning and we both tired. You can go back to your chamber; I’ll call you if I need your help again.” Jaxon walked beside me, grabbed my waist, and gave back Morgan to me.

The woman who he called “Helen” ran her eyes down to my waist and I could see her hurt eyes. She didn’t mind letting us see it, as if that was her purpose.

“Alright,” she said and smiled sheepishly. “You can go to my room if you want to, I’ll be waiting.”

I wasn’t naive not to comprehend the meaning behind her words and because of that, something erupted in my mind; I felt an inexplicably vexation.

“Sorry to interrupt but... Uhmmm... Jaxon hadn’t home for few weeks and Morgan was looking for his pheromones.”

Helen looked at me with her gentle and stung eyes. She raised her side lips and replied, “I understand. Then...” She lifted her stare to Jaxon and continued, “I’ll be going now.”

I nodded but I didn’t see Jaxon’s reaction.

After the door was closed, a sharp voice that tickled my earlobe made my hair stood on end. “Is it Morgan or you?”

“Huh?” I frowned, literally didn’t understand it.

“The pheromones.” He gripped my baby fats and rest his chin on my shoulder. “I had been away and you didn’t miss me?”

My cheeks flushed with embarrassment to his question. We didn’t know everything even the smallest details to each other yet, how could he act like we had been pair of lovers for so long time now?

The heat enveloped my face and for him not to realize how he affected me, I shoved his face away from mine. “I-I stink and didn’t take a bath yet.”

I could barely swallow when in just a second, his body was already attached with mine again along with his mint and seductive voice, “We could do it together, you know. I’m craving to pound you right now.”
