We roam around the house and found nothing, we have been at this for ten minutes, her parents will be back anytime and we have not seen anything yet.
"Hey guys there is a upstair." Alero yelled and we went over to where she was.
"Why is the gate locked?" There was a gate separating downstairs and upstairs, there are some houses like that.
"How are we supposed to know that? I'll open it and we will inspect the upstairs too."
"Okay." We searched upstairs, the whole rooms but we found nothing.
"Let's just leave." Dinela said and we were going back down the stairs.
"What are you ladies doing here? If my mom sees you here, you will be in big trouble." We heard a voice say behind us, we turned around to see who it was.
The person we saw indeed shocked me to the core.
Debby gold on a wheelchair
"How are you here?"
"I thought you are in jail."
My friends bombarded her with questions.
"I shouldn't talk to you about it."
"Please do, it affects my life a lot, please." I pleaded.
"That's not me, I'm the real Debby gold, the on in jail is just my clone, my parents had Mr Dario make her for them because I am crippled and I may never ever walk again and my face is burnt on one side."
"What!! A clone, how is it possible to clone someone? Why would your parents clone you because of your condition?"
"I really should not speak to you about this, if I do my mom will punish me."
We soon heard a car drive into the driveway.
"My mom is back please leave now or you will get into lots of trouble."
"Tell us quickly, please."
"Okay, there is this mystical artifact called the blue skull, its used to duplicate people and Mr Dario has it, he stole it from a woman named Mavery, my parents went to meet him to clone me for a price, the price is that they work for him, now go, go."
"Thank you, bye, take care of yourself."
We rushed to the basement and escaped through the window, we ran quietly to where the car was parked, Dinela unlocked it and we all got in.
"What on earth did we just see?!!" Dinela asked astonished as we all discussed what we just saw and what we learnt
"Happiness was right we could only have seen it to believe it."
"Are you sure about that? Because I just saw it but still I don't believe it, a clone if Debby gold!!!"
"We need to look into this."
"I agree, we should find Mavery first before anything so she can give us more information about the blue skull."
"Yeah, was she not a substitute teacher back in secondary school?"
"We need to go back to metro puritan high school in other to find her."
"What if she no longer teach there, don't forget she was just a substitute teacher."
"Yeah but if she has left the school will still have her personal information, once we get that we can start tracing her from there."
"Yes let's go back home for now, when should we go to school?"
"Maybe tomorrow." Alero suggested and I was about to agree when I remembered I have an appointment.
"No we can't, I have an appointment tomorrow, early in the morning."
"We can go in the afternoon before the school closes, can you try leaving work around 1:00pm or 1:30pm?"
"Yes I'll try." By then I'll have gotten a personal assistant, I'll just ask who ever it will be to start working immediately. "
"Hope you all are ready for another adventure?"
"No, I definitely am not, if Mr Dario gets his hands on me..." I started but Dinela interrupted me.
"That will not happen, be positive, what I am interested in is the blue skull, I wonder what it looks like, is it actually blue and a skull or do they just call it that?"
"If it were up to me, I'd rather not find out." Alero said.
"I am with you Alero on this one, let's go home." Dinela started the car and we were back on our way, she dropped me at home and will either drop Alero at her place or Alero will sleep over at Dinela's place.
I entered the house and went to the kitchen, I was starving, I met macaroni and cheese with a side of chicken salad, I didn't waste time eating it all, I finished with my dinner and drank a cup of water, I belched and went to my room, that was when I started thinking, I once saw my biologic mom crying and was angry before I thought she died, when I asked her what happened....
Flashback
I just got back from school, I went to the kitchen to greet my mommy but she was not there which was very unusual, I went to her room to check for her, I saw her on her bed, her head on her knee and she was shaking, I heard her soft cries.
"Mommy?" I called but she didn't answer, "mommy are you alright?" I asked as I joined her on her bed.
She raised her head and her eyes were red and her cheeks were stained with tears.
"Mommy why are you crying?"
"Its nothing my dear, welcome back, you must be tired and hungry...."
"No mom," I cut her off "please tell me what happened." I begged as I moved closer to her.
"Sweetheart, you can't even imagine what got me so upset, they held a burial for Dario."
"What!! Why? He is not dead is he?"
"No he is not but they did, Dario is at work and he will be home soon, his family held a burial for him when he is still very much alive."
"Why?" I asked lost.
"They claimed he is dead, they even sent me some pictures they took at the burial, I will keep that picture in the picture album and once we all are living happily I will show Dario's family those pictures, but never mind that forget it, Dario is still very much alive and we will all live happily together." She said with a bright smile which made me smile, what she said left my brain jumbled and in a state of a confusion, I don't think I understand what she said but I don't need to, all I know is my mom's fiance is alive not dead and that's good, he brings smiles to my mom's face and he seems nice.
"Okay then stop crying, you know I don't like to see you cry."
"Yes baby, come let me get your lunch." She said as we both got out of bed and into the kitchen with my backpack over my shoulder.

She told me that Mr Dario's family claimed that he is dead, that they even held a burial for him, does that mean that?.... Did Mr Dario clone himself!!! No that's not possible, I need to find that burial picture no I need to find the photo album, it us probably in my old house, but it has been sold and someone else is living in it.
I need to inform my foster mom about all these, I remember Alero telling me about how she and Mrs Amira went to my house to get evidence against Mr Dario, she told me she took a journal and a photo album, I'll ask her about it first thing tomorrow morning, I really hope she still has it, I am beyond exhausted.
I closed my eyes and was about to sleep when I heard a knock on my door.
"Come in." I called out, my foster mom strolled in.
"Hey." She said as she sat on the bed next to me.
"How are you both feeling?" I asked her teasingly.
"We are both fine thank you very much, in less than two months there will be a baby shower." She said in between chuckles.
"Of course, I'll be the one to host it."
"Sure thing, how was work today?" That was when I remembered I remembered the work load on my head.
"It was stressful but fine." I said not wanting to bother her about it.
"Goodnight mom and dad junior."
"How are you sure its going to be a boy, it could be a mini me."
"Anyone it is I will gladly accept it."
"Goodnight Axymah sweet dreams."
"You too." I said and she left my room for me to sleep, I have to work tomorrow and I also need to talk to Alero and also my biological mom, she was supposed to be dead then how come? How did she survive that car crash? The most important of all, why didn't she come back for me? She left me all by myself with that monster.
She came to my office just for business, if it weren't for that contract that I had to hand out, I would have never known that she is alive, I also need to find Mavery, I have a whole lot on my plate right now, I slept off thinking about the work load on my shoulders.
