"Sleep well, Love," He said as he left. I heard the sound of the door being closed. I exhaled deeply when Desmond left.
What was it?
What's the point of all this? If you have done this when I am awake, I might forgive you but, this still did not affect me. I hid my face in the duvet and tried to sleep.

Tomorrow, the month will end. In this whole month, Desmond was extremely nice to me. He was so desperate. He tried so hard to remove the dreads he evoked. It's evening and Desmond came,
"Ester!"
"What is it?" I asked him. Desmond was smiling radiantly. His smile still scares me.
"Get ready, I need to take you somewhere." He said excitedly. I raised my eyebrow at him.
"Where?" I asked him.
"It's a secret. Come I am waiting for you in the car." He said as he left.
I was so confused. I shrugged my shoulders and went to my room and changed into a yellow off-shoulder knee-length dress with black polka dots along with yellow sneakers. I tied my hair in a fishtail. I let some strands of my hair fall on my face. I look overall pretty. I went to Desmond who was waiting for me. He smiled at me and complimented,
"Beautiful as always."
"Thanks.." I smiled and looked out of the window.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"Surprise," Desmond replied as he drove the car.
We stopped in a park as I felt so perplexed. Desmond rushed to my side and opened the door for me. We went inside as my eyes widened in awe.
"This is the best place to take you out on a date." Desmond grinned as I hugged him. He took me to the flower festival. I looked at the flowers and they looked so beautiful. They arranged them so beautifully. Their grace is whole another level. The holy feeling of delight bestowed upon me as I look at them. Desmond stood beside me. He took random pictures of me. We ate a different snack.
"Desmond! Look at those Black Roses!" I tugged on Desmond's arm as I dragged him to the roses section. The black roses looked so beautiful. I looked at them in awe. Their elegance can't be explained by any mere word. They are kind of some fascinating treasure.
"Beautiful aren't they!?" I beamed at Desmond. He nodded and smiled. After looking at them for a long time we decided to visit some stalls.
"Do you want that?" Desmond asked, pointing at the teddy bear on the game stall.
"Only if you can win that," I smirked as I put a hand on my waist. Desmond smirked as we went to the stall. It's the archery stall.
"Watch my archery skills," Desmond said proudly as I watched him. Desmond hit the targets perfectly as my eyes widened in disbelief.
"See. Told you." He smirked giving me the teddy. I grinned and nodded. We roam around.
There's a band there too.
"Wait here," Desmond said as he left. I stood there looking at the teddy sadly. A tear rolled onto my cheek, I quickly wiped it. Please... I can't take it anymore...
"Ester!" I lifted my head and saw Desmond standing on the stage. My eyes widened as my mouth gaped. What is he planning now?
"This is for you." He said he took out his flute and began to play it. My body was stiff from the song. Please don't. Any song but, that. It's every lyric will bring me close to you. Please stop.
I hugged the teddy tightly and began to cry out loud as the song ended. Please, It's not love. It's your dominance, there's nothing more in between us. Please stop it. You are hurting me. Every lyric evoked a feeling in my heart; the feeling I am trying my best to avoid.
"Please stop it. You are making this harder for both of us. If you continue, then, I'll burn in the fire of your love too." I thought to myself as I cried.
Desmond quickly rushed to my side and wiped my tears.
"Please don't leave me.." Desmond said in a dolorous tone. I looked away and hugged teddy tightly. I put my head on his chest. Desmond rubbed my back. After a few moments, I pulled away.
"When did you learn that?" I asked him.
"Saved it for someone special." I smiled when he said that.
"Let's go home.." I said.
"Okay," Desmond said.
I put the teddy close to me on our way back. The teddy was big. It was half of my height. I hugged it close, not wanting to let it go.
We reached home. I looked at Desmond and went to my room. I put the teddy on my bed and lean on the door. I put my hand over my mouth to muffle my cries and began to cry out.
Free me from this agonizing pain. It will break me; throwing me into a dark and cruel abyss, filled with doubts, of whether what I am going to do tomorrow is wrong or right...
