Author's Note
To Clamor and all my readers,
Thank you for the detailed and honest review. It really made me stop and think. You’re right that the premise has a lot of potential, but the execution — especially the pacing and emotional depth in the early chapters — didn’t fully deliver what I had in my head.
This is my first full-length web novel, and I’ve learned a tremendous amount while writing it. Because of that, I’ve decided to take a break from new chapters. I want to reread the story with fresh eyes, work on improving my style, focus more on “show, don’t tell,” and give Amanda’s internal struggles (the gender bender aspects, the weight of losing her old life, and adapting to this new world) the depth they deserve.
Stolen story; please report.
I’m not dropping the story — I still believe in Doom Route Breaker and these characters. I just need some time to recharge and come back stronger.
I’ll update here when I’m ready to continue. In the meantime, if you have any thoughts on what you’d like to see more of (deeper character moments, slower adaptation, kingdom building, etc.), feel free to leave them. I’ll read everything when I return.
Thank you again for reading and for the feedback — it genuinely helps.
