Fated To A Cursed Alpha King Chapter 39

Calhoun paced his chamber. He wasn't at peace. His heart was in a panicking frenzy and he didn't know why. Was there something happening somewhere?

"George!" He called. "Inform Felix that I want to see him."

George bowed and ran off to bring the man the king had requested for. Within fifteen minutes of his pacing, he turned to find Felix bowing before him.

"Felix, something is wrong," Calhoun said. "I don't know what the matter is, but I do feel very ... anxious, panicked even."

"Panicked?" Felix reiterated. "How can you be feeling panicked? You are the one who caused people to panic, how can something make you anxious now?"

"I can't seem to explain it but it's so strong! Almost like I need to be somewhere else now. It's causing rage to build up in me." He explained. "I'm getting angry and I feel the urge to kill."

Felix gulped and inched backward "Calm down my lord." He said.

"Listen to me, how exactly does it feel? Does it feel like something bad is happening somewhere? To someone perhaps? Like an instinctive feeling of danger looming ahead but for someone else that you feel you need to protect?"

"Exactly!"

"Your mate, my king," Felix said. "Something bad is about to befall your mate. If it's a feeling that's causing you to be in rage or feel insulted, daunted or, perhaps like possessive sort of, then it's possible someone is about to harm her."

"Perhaps a male is about to harm her physically."

Calhoun's eyes turned red. He growled. Diana was in trouble? Where was she?

"How can I find her?"

"You just have to follow your instincts," Felix said, shrugging. "You just have to listen closely to her emotions, the frequency and it will keep pulling you in the right direction."

Calhoun growled again. It wasn't night yet but his wolf was fighting to be free. Was it also because of the feeling? He couldn't transform during the evening time. He couldn't allow the humans to see his wolf form, they would be too afraid. He had to contain it.

"No, I will leave at nightfall. When the moon is up and high in the sky." He said, taking deep breaths. "That's when I will move. If people see me now, there's a high chance that they will run."

"Not so, my king." Felix shook his head. "You have to understand that your mate's safety is more important than anything else."

"If you feel her calling out to you strongly then I will advise that you go immediately. Otherwise,e you may lose it on the way and that's the end of finding her."

"I will go at nightfall, I will be stronger and faster then. I will find her before it stops." Calhoun said.

Felix shrugged. "As you wish, my lord."

"Aside from that, is there anything else you wish to discuss, my lord?",

"Yes," Calhoun said. "The blood pack has chosen to retreat."

"No, my lord," Felix said. "Earlier today, I heard a man say he was attacked in his home."

"Oh, they choose to come after my subordinates?" Calhoun inquired, raising his eyebrow. "How cowardly."

"It's all a game." Felix said, shaking his head. "If they are balanced with the people that are unable to protect them, the loss of the throne will start from a riot in your kingdom."

"A better game to play!" Calhoun exclaimed. "So if I can as well make his people feel he is unable to protect them then I can win them over, huh?"

"Something similar, my lord," Felix answered. The only difference here is that there is something off about his wolves. They don't seem to love or accept almost as if they're bound to him."

"Bound?" Calhoun asked. "In what way? Elaborate."

"Well, they seem to grudgingly carry out whatever he says, as if they've been compelled to do it. Mindless beasts that follow his command although knowing that they're not supposed to do that."

"That's ... Nice?"

"Not nice, my lord." Felix sighed. How could he make Calhoun understand that there was a chance they could lose the battle?

"My lord, these people might have received ho from another type of being. Perhaps one of the elder sorcerers."

"Pff." Calhoun waved it off. "Don't tell me you believe in such crap!"

"It's not crap my lord, if the prophecy is as true as you claim then don't you think that it's also true that there's still a Sorcerer wandering the surface of this earth, looking for ways to destroy us? To destroy you?"

Calhoun gave it a thought. "Well the curse is broken, so he can't exactly kill me again!"

"That's not the point my lord."

"I fail to see the point, Felix. Please leave and inform George to send me Patricia on your way out." Calhoun said, dismissing him immediately. "I feel the need for a massage after hearing this pleasant news. If Yara is ready to shed blood, let him also know that I'm ready to drink blood."

"You're a wolf my king, not a vampire," Felix said as he turned to go.

"Not a nice way to speak to the king, Felix. No one is above missing a few body parts, even you."

Felix nodded at him. The hint was taken and the message was delivered successfully. Now, all he wanted was to soak in his bath and be massaged by his servant.

Felix left and passed Calhoun's message to George who in turn informed Patricia. She was so happy that the king had finally summoned her. She hurried over to his chamber and knocked on the door softly.

"Come in."

She walked in and bowed. "My king, you sent for me."

"That's right, come and give me a nice massage. Make sure to press right, not too hard and not too light like a feather." Calhoun warned. "I hate being tickled, except it's by blood flowing down my skin."

Patricia nodded, she very well understood. She walked over to where he sat and reached out to touch his shoulder but he caught her hand in his large ones. Her palm was soft and warm against his rough and cold ones. Calhoun chuckled darkly. He liked the feeling he was having at the moment, almost as if he could eat the little lamb and get away with it.

"Don't you know that I like being touched on my bare skin? Meaning you take the clothes off and massage my shoulder."

Patricia nodded. Her heart was in a frenzy, being touched by Calhoun made her excited and ecstatic. She began to unbutton his shirt and her hands shook as she did that. Calhoun watched her face turn all shades of red and he chuckled.

"Hurry up, Tricia. Don't be a little lamb." He teased.

She finished doing the buttons and helped him shrug out of the shirt. Calhoun laid on his bed with his stomach and allowed her to work on him.

"Sit on my back." He whispered. "Without your rough and uncomfortable clothes."

Patricia was shocked at how those shameless words bravely came out of his mouth. Was this how he also spoke to Diana? Perhaps that was why she couldn't take it anymore and left.

Well if Calhoun would speak to her in such a manner every day, she would appreciate it so much, she would never leave his side. She took off her dress, clad in her underwear, a soft milky short, and a bra top held up by her corset. She crossed her legs over Calhoun and sat on his back.

She began to massage him and Calhoun soon began to get lost in the massage. Her hands felt just like Diana's and soon, he forgot who he was with, assuming it was Diana. Tricia and Diana were similar in almost everything, except their skin tone. Whereas Diana was almost pale, Tricia was slightly tanned like the rest of the humans.

Calhoun reached out for her hand and grabbed it, forcing the girl to stop. With one pull, he took her off his back and placed her on the bed with him above her. Patricia did not know what to feel.

"Touch me," Calhoun ordered. Sh, reached her shaking hands to his shoulder and placed them softly on his shoulder.

"Caress it."

She began to caress his shoulder, slowly moving down to his biceps and back up to his shoulder.

"Go down, don't make me tell you everything."

She took her hands lower to his abdomen and was about to take it back up but grabbed the hand and pulled it further down, savoring the feeling of her body on his member.

He opened his eyes to stare into hers and he noticed there was something off about it. They weren't the beautiful ones he loved staring into. They were blue and looked very human. He froze for a few seconds.

Calhoun suddenly moved away from her and sat in his bed.

"Leave." He ordered.

"My king...?" Patricia asked softly. She was confused. What had she done to deserve the cold treatment? Perhaps she wasn't performing well? That wasn't her fault, she didn't know what to do.

"Leave before you regret it." He growled. She could tell how angry he was and she quickly came down from the bed, grabbing her clothes from the floor where they lay recklessly. Quickly, she dressed and ran to the door.

"Patricia." Calhoun called fiercely, "If a word about this goes out, you're dead meat."

Patricia nodded and bolted out of the room. Calhoun sighed and placed his head in his hand. What could he do? Nothing!

He was in love with Diana and he could do absolutely nothing to bring her back to his side. He glanced out his window, the sky had darkened. The moon was becoming more visible. He listened within him if he still had the feeling, they were gone.

"Felix was right." He murmured. "Diana is safe now."

He stood up and walked into his bath to soak. While in the bath, he begins to see flashes of his time with Diana and how he had mistaken Patricia for her. He tried to shake the feeling of guilt that was gnawing at his heart but it refused to go.

"You know what? If this feeling will remain then I will just go and finish what I have started." He said, emerging from his bath again. He took a towel and dried his body. Now he was going to dress comfortably.

He took out a cotton shirt and put it on, wore his trousers and his robe over them. He wore his slippers and left his chamber.

He strolled down the corridors, heading to the kitchen to find Patricia, he stumbled against something and almost fell. He quickly turned to check on what it was but to his surprise, nothing was there. Well, he wasn't exactly surprised because he knew his castle so well that he could walk around blindfolded. There was nothing that could make one stumble, especially in his chamber corridor.

He smiled wickedly. Did someone want to play games with him? They had better know that he could play every game there was, but he hated the boring ones.

He resumed his journey to the kitchen. When he got there, the maids present were shocked to find him there. Before he could open his mouth to ask for Patricia, she called him from behind him. Calhoun's wicked smile got wider.

"There you are!" He exclaimed, turning to her. "I was searching for you."

Patricia shivered. "F..f..for me?" She stuttered as well.

"Hm, you seem too surprised that I am searching for you," Calhoun stated as if his searching for his servant by himself was a normal occurrence.

Usually, he would send George to search, while he reclined in his chamber or his throne room, thinking of subtle ways to punish George for delaying, and mighty fearful ways to punish the servant for hiding.

"I.. here I am, my king. What did you need me for?" She asked, looking anywhere but his eyes. She couldn't bear to look him up in the eyes.

"I'm hungry, I need something to eat." He said. "Prepare me a nice meal. Everyone leaves the kitchen, I want only her to do the cooking."
