Having An Affair, Hattie's Tear Chapter 22

Isaac Wood! She was hugged by a man before she regained her consciousness. He cried for the first time.

"It's you! Hattie! It's you!" His voice was hoarse. He hugged him tightly. She couldn't escape from his arms. She felt something strange deep within her heart. He was crying. But why? She was trying to push him away, but Isaac won't let go. "Hey Uncle! My mother only sells noodles. Let go of her or I'll call the cops", Candy said. Isaac still didn't let go. He was scared. If this was a dream, he doesn't want to wake up. "Isaac, let me go", she said in a soft voice. "No". "You're hurting me", she said in a soft voice. He loses his arms a little and looked her in the eye. "I will, but please tell me you won't leave me", he said. Hattie shivered by the way he looked at her. Isaac dared not to blink his eyes. They stared at each other. "Dad!" Candy ran to the door and hugged the man. It was from Owen. Was Candy his child? No! Hattie couldn't have a child with another man. Isaac let her go when he heard Candy's voice. He looked at the man holding a grocery bag. "My little brat is here!" Owen said, "I brought us dinner". "Dad, you're amazing!" Candy hugged him and took the grocery bag from his hand. "I see you have a guest?" "Yes," said the little girl. He saw Isaac. "Isaac?" Owen was in shock. He smiled and said, "Long time, no see". He added another bowl and a pair of spoon and fork to the table. "Candy, be careful. It's hot", Owen said to the little girl. "Yes dad!" she said. "Hattie, don't eat too much spicy food. It will upset your stomach", Owen told her. "Okay", she responded. The family was incredibly happy. Isaac felt like he was an outcast. "Isaac, why don't you eat?" Owen turned to Isaac when he noticed he was not moving a finger. He handed him the vegetable and smile. "Eat first then we'll talk later". Isaac still didn't move. He clenched his fist. Owen did this on purpose. He wanted to kill him but how? Hattie and Candy were here. He took a deep breath and turn to Hattie. "Hattie, can we talk alone later?" he asked. She was agitated to hear his voice, but she chose not to respond. Isaac smiled at Owen and Candy. Isaac and Hattie stepped out of the store right after their meal. They stopped at a place where they can see if anyone was coming. "Go ahead", she said. There were countless words to say and countless thoughts to convey, but all of it vanished when he saw her standing in front of him. "Hattie, I was wrong", finally his words came out.
