In the days that followed, I began to feel the first effects of pregnancy. I was feeling drowsy and everything I did made me tired.
I thought a lot about it and concluded that I could not tell João Felipe about my pregnancy, since I already knew what his reaction would be, to what happened when I told him about Julia.
I couldn't bear to hear from her mouth that I should terminate this pregnancy. It would be very hard to confirm that our son and I are worth so little to him.
I lay in my bed, thinking about my situation and the decisions I needed to make, as my biggest concern was how I would explain to everyone who my child's father was.

I then remembered that JP had commented that Mr. Rodolfo was pressuring him more and more every day to participate in business events and to slow down the pace of his night outings, taking on more responsibilities with the family business. He had insisted very much that he accompany him, but since I was sure that his brother would also be at the event, in addition, of course, to his mother, I refused.

My father then told us that Marta had felt ill and asked to come home, but on the way, she ended up fainting. An ambulance was called to do specialized care and they took her to the hospital and Mr. Rodolfo asked him to return home, if necessary, they would call him.
Despite everything, I didn't want anything bad to happen to her and I was quite worried and was already picking up my phone to call João Pedro when he started ringing.
"Vivi, I believe you must already know what happened to Mom. "
It was João Pedro and by the tone of voice, they still shouldn't have good news.

"She is not feeling well, but she is being followed up and we are waiting for the results of the tests. "

Upon hearing his request, I was undecided whether or not I should go to the hospital to be by my friend's side. His mother wasn't my number one fan and she certainly wouldn't want my presence at this point.
I denied JP's request and said that when he arrived from the hospital I would keep him company and talk. Eventually, he accepted my decision and after we ended the call, we continued to communicate by message, where he kept me updated on what was going on.
The news about Marta's malaise ended up saving me from having to tell my mother about the pregnancy, and although I wasn't happy with what had happened, I was quite relieved that I was able to postpone my confession and the consequences of it a little longer.

After the departure of our parents, my brother and I continued at the charity event for some cause, which I had not paid attention to since I went only to get foreign investors to our branch in New York.
I was succeeding with my pretensions when I got the call from my father, who made us apprehensive and we immediately went to the hospital to which our mother had been taken.

Although Viviane did not leave my thoughts, I had concluded that our separation was better. There were many obstacles and I could never take on a serious relationship with her.
