What was not my surprise when she informed me that she would be coming to the United States next week! I shouldn't be surprised by my parent's visit to the city, since my mother always enjoyed traveling, especially to New York, where she did a lot of shopping and also had some friendships. But since it had been over a year since I had been here and they still hadn't visited me, I was even surprised this time.
Anyway, I enjoyed knowing they were coming. I missed everyone, even João Pedro, that idiot. I missed him, but I was still upset with him for cheating on me for so long. I think the only idiot in this story was me, once I concluded that the friendship between him and Viviane was just a front for the case they always maintained. She probably wanted something more from him, like a commitment made in front of everyone, and when I arrived in Brazil since he hadn't assumed their relationship, she must have been involved with me to make my brother jealous and force him to do what he had ended up doing, after all.
The only loophole in this ridiculous story was the reason that João Pedro did not immediately assume the relationship between him and Viviane, since he was never afraid to contradict our mother. He believed that it should be about wanting to have a freer life, to be with other women, because he was still very young, despite everything.
It was better to forget about this matter because I was already feeling the usual tightness in my chest and did not want to exalt myself. I will make an appointment with my doctor as soon as possible, it was the best thing to do. The important thing was that my parents were coming and I could have them with me for a few days, and without having to see unpleasant people, which was excellent.
Viviane
My daughter's birthday was perfect. I had invited a few people and organized the garden of the mansion for the event and everything had gone exactly the way I had envisioned.
I was lying in the room I shared with JP, after having taken a long relaxing shower, feeling fulfilled. I then commented to him, who was coming out of the bathroom at the time.
"Glad it all worked out, isn't it?" I said.
"Our little one was so beautiful and happy. ''
"It was. She played so much that it left me exhausted. ''
"No wonder. But I helped you a lot, so don't want the credit to yourself," he joked.
" Are you looking for praise for playing your role as a father? " I questioned, arching my eyebrow.

"The bed is huge and you're very loose. Stay on your side of the bed and don't invade my personal space. ''
"Women! ''
I turned on the bed, turning my back to him, but he caught my eye with a slight elbow.
"Look, Vivi, how beautiful the photos were! ''
I turned back to the side he was on the bed and settled better on the pillows, to look at the pictures on his smartphone. They were beautiful even, but I soon realized a detail.
" Did you post Sarah's photo? " I complained, realizing that he was referring to the photos he had posted on a well-known social network.

"But we had agreed not to post pictures of Sarinha. We weren't going to expose her on social media, where she's vulnerable to so many things," I said, after returning the phone to him and stepping away a little bit to see him better.
"I apologize for not speaking before posting, Vivi. But that's it. I see no reason why I can't show the world that I have a daughter and my happiness today, that she is completing her first year of life."
Before I said anything that might cause any friction between us unnecessarily, I decided to ponder his words and understand his point. Although I feared Sarah's exposure on the internet, they were just pictures of my daughter's birthday and I believe there would be no problem. It wasn't like we posted all of her steps on social media.

"We know João Felipe well enough to know that he must live for work. Before studies were his focus and after he took over the foreign branch of Mendes, he should be focused on making the company a great success in revenue. He wants to prove to himself that he is a great professional. ''

I didn't like to talk about Felipe, especially when João Pedro came with his insistence on the feelings that his brother had for me.

He was wrong to have engaged with you when he had no intention of taking on a serious relationship, even more so knowing how innocent you were despite your age. But he likes you, yes! That's a fact. I kept my back to João Pedro, but I had to agree with him, at least in part. About his brother's personality, he was completely right. About the feelings for me? Wrong.
João Pedro seemed to give up hearing any kind of response coming from me and soon he was getting ready to sleep as well.
