Napamura siya. He can’t believe she said those words. To release what he is feeling, he kissed her again more passionately.His lips are sucking hers.It's as if he can't get enough of her mouth.Then they heard a knock on the door.
"SHIT!" Jake cursed.
Hinapit nito si Shelly sa bewang para ilayo sa pintuan so he can open it.
"KIM!" They uttered the intruder’s name at the same time. Nakapamewang ito and she is frowning.
Tumawag si manang Celia sa bahay .Sabi niya nag-aaway daw ang dalawa.Natatakot daw siya na baka kung ano ang gawin ni Jake kay Shelly dahil galit na galit ito.Nagmamadali silang pumunta ni Thomas after the call.Tapos ngayon makikita niya ang dalawa na mukhang kakatapos lang maghalikan dahil medyo namamaga and pulang-pula ang labi ni Shelly.What the??!
"Darling!" It'sThomas’ voice..Natigilan din ito ng makita ang magnobyo na mukhang okay naman.
"What are you two doing here?" Jake asked his voice sounds annoyed.
"What the hell is going on Jake? Kanina takot na takot na tumawag si manang Celia dahil galit na galit ka daw and Shelly was crying." Kim asked.
"DAMN!" Nahilamos ni Jake ang mukha with his hand.
Hiyang-hiya si Shelly so napayuko na lang siya.
"Can we just all talk in the living room?" suggested Thomas and Jake nodded before he put his hand on Shelly's back so they could all go to the living room.
"Care to tell us what is happening?" Asked Kim.
Halos mamula sa hiya si Shelly.Hindi niya alam na sobra ang concern pala talaga ng pamilya ni Jake sa kanya pati ni manang Celia.Nakakahiya sa mag-asawa. Mukha pa namang may lakad ang mga ito. Inalis ni Jake ang pagkakahawak sa bewang ni Shelly to move to the mini-bar. Thomas followed him. Jake poured whiskey and binigay nito ang isang baso sa kapatid.
"You shouldn't have bothered to come.Normal lang naman sa magka-relasyon ang mag-away." He calmy said then gulped down his whiskey.
"Exactly!" Thomas agreed."That's what I have been telling my wife.But she insisted that we come." Nailing na sabi pa nito.
"Why wouldn't we come? Sabi ni manang you were furious and Shelly looked helpless and she was just crying." Kim said sounding irritated.
Jake put down his glass before saying," You know that I would never hit her."
Shelly was just standing there quietly.Grabe naman ang mga ito,sa loob loob niya.They are talking as if she is not in room which made her feel more embarrassed.Nakita niya na Kim shook her herad in disbelief and she knitted her brows.
"Anyway,did you two have plans of eating out before you decided to give us a visit?" Jake joked.
"Apparently yes.My wife wants to try the new Italian restaurant sa may bandang Timog." Thomas retorted..
Jake looked at his watch."You still have plenty of time.It's just past 9."
Shelly saw Kim's face lit up. "I have an idea! Why don't we all go together?” Sinegundahan naman ito ng asawa.
Jake looked uncertain then looked at his woman."You wanna go babe?" He asked her.
Shelly just smiled and nodded.Gusto niyang sumama dahil matagal na silang di naguusap ni Kim.
" I will be ready in 10 minutes." Sabi ng dalaga sa kanila.Sabay pasok sa kwarto.
"Darling, Shelly said she can get ready in 10 minutes,possible naman pala yun eh.Why do you take more than an hour to get ready?" he asked his wife curiously.
Tinignan lang ng masama ni Kim ang asawa. Jake chuckled and took another shot of whiskey. Thomas just shrugged his shoulders then inabot nito ang baso sa kapatid for a refill.
"Siguro naman hindi kayo magpapa-kalasing na magkapatid no? You guys will drive." Nakasimangot na sabi ni Kim.
" You worry too much, Kim.We can hold our drink so just chill." Jake said in a teasing voice.
"Seriously Jake," Kim went near the men,"You should go easy on Shelly.Ano ba ang nangyari kanina?" Curious na tanong nito.
"She wanted to break up with me." He said in an annoyed tone.
Silence.
"Why?" Kim asked.
"Nagseselos siya kay Cassie."
Kim sighed and tumuwid ng upo si Thomas."Are you giving her reasons to get jealous?" he asked him.
He took another shot of whiskey,then Jake said," Not intentionally.It's just that Cassie is so persistent.Iniiwasan ko na siya sa opisina but she keeps on calling me." Inis na sabi nito.
"You should have a heart- to- heart talk with her.Maybe closure ang kailangan niyo." Kim advised.
"Sooner or later you have to deal with her Jake.Baka tuluyan ng masira ang relasyon niyo ni Shelly dahil sa kanya." Thomas suggested.
"Walang makakasira sa amin ni Shelly." He said. His voice is full of certainty.
Ngayon pa na alam na ni Jake na mahal din siya ni Shelly,lalo niyang gagawin ang lahat to keep her.
