Third's point of view
It's been days since Leah collapsed at Fabian's house and the final day was too close. Adam was staring at his cousin with worry on his face. Except for his younger brother, Leah is the second one who's important to him. From the moment when he discovered Leah's existence, he swore that he will do everything to protect her from harm.
I don't want another member of his family to die, he will do everything to prevent it even if it caused his life.
“How is she?” Adam turned his gaze to his mate, who was anxious that their Alpha Leah didn't wake up until now.
“It's still the same. She knew that it would affect her life, but she still chose to heal Fabian's brother.” Adam answered he didn't blame Desmond for what happened to Leah, he was disappointed that Leah can sacrifice herself for someone she didn't even know from the very start.
Karen sighed and then tapped Adam's shoulder. She gets some water and drinks it.
“What happened to Fabian? Are you sure that he was the one that we needed?” Karen glanced at him, and it looked like she was waiting for his response.
“Y-Yeah,” Adam felt uncomfortable talking about this topic with his mate. Maybe, they marked each other but he didn't even know her.
Finding his mate wasn't part of his plan after all. When he went to the Red Moon Pack with his younger brother and cousin, he was shocked that Karen was his mate. He didn't have any plans to accept his mate, but when he found out that Karen was Leah's Beta, he automatically accepted her without even thinking.
“I-I know we still didn't know each other, right? But, if you don't mind me asking, what's your relationship with Alpha Leah?” His body was stunned when he heard his mate's inquiries. Even the Red Moon Pack members didn't even know that their Alpha can heal someone or even can re-alive someone.
“Are you jealous of her?” He asked, which made Karen look down.
“Alpha Leah was too attractive. I know that there are a lot of Alphas who wanted to be with her. She's a fighter, and she didn't know how to surrender in a fight. When she went there in our pack, I didn't even know what Alpha Giovanni had seen her. She was too simple, and it looks like she can't defend herself if I bully her.” Karen stopped and chuckled when she remembered how Leah fought her ass out.
She felt humiliated that an Omega won over her, she was the second one the best fighter among women, and that was the most embarrassing part that she ever experienced.
“But, you don't even answer my questions. Are you jealous because of her? You're my mate, and I want to know what you feel.” Adam went closer to his mate and embraced her from her behind. He planted a soft kiss on her nape, which made Karen groan.
“I am your mate, and I was thinking about your relationship with her. After I witness how Alpha Leah tried to stab you, I don't even think that you will get close to her.”
“Don't be jealous. You don't need to be jealous because there are no reasons for you to be jealous.”
“But, she's single and unmated.”
“And I am taken, and marked by you. Seriously, I find it funny that you're jealous of my cousin. I find it more amusing that my mate was jealous of my relatives.” Adam chuckled when he saw Karen's face turned into crimson. Her eyes widened in disbelief that she hit Adam's belly.
“Ouch.” Adam acted like he was in great pain, but in truth, he was teasing her. He felt delighted when Karen told him that she was jealous of his cousin. He didn't even think that Karen might overreact, but he was happy that his mate had feelings for him.
“You don't even inform me that she's your cousin. Ah! How dare you do this to me! So it means Alpha Leah was my cousin-in-law?”
“Yeah, she is. I'm sorry if I didn't tell you about it because I thought that Leah doesn't want me to share this with anyone.”
“Hey, I don't think that Alpha Leah was like that. After I treated her as my enemy, I knew that she had a pure heart. I may be her Beta but she treated me as her sister by blood.”
“Okay, I thought that you were angry with me once I told you about it.” Adam's face enlightened when he saw that Karen wasn't angry after all.
“I won't be angry if you informed me about it. If you tell me from the very start, at least I know, so I won't get jealous of her. You're too worried about her, and I kept asking myself why are you reacting like that? You aren't like that when you're with me, but when it comes to Alpha Leah, you always panicked that something bad might happen to her.”
“And your actions make me overthink that you're in love with her. I even asked about my worth, and what would happen to me if you rejected me as your mate.”
“I know that Leah had a secret with us, and we're giving her privacy because we treasured her, all she did to us was to treat us with kindness. I felt guilty that I got jealous when it comes to her, especially since she was in the hospital now.” Karen added and pinched his skin, which made his face turn sour.
“Karen, it hurts,” Adam complained but Karen just laughed at him, as if he was joking.
“You will be hurt, once you hide another secret from me. But, if there was another secret it's alright if you don't want to confess it to me. I trust you, Adam. I want you to know that I fully trust, just— just don't cheat on me, or else, I will cut your dick, and crack your balls.” Karen's words make Adam gulp in fear, he won't want to lose his dick or even his balls.
“O-Of course, I won't cheat on you.” Adam stammered which made Karen grin. The corner of her lips rose as if she found Adam more entertaining.
“Okay, and if you do that I know that my Alpha Leah won't tolerate your shits.” Adam swallowed, and he was secretly hoping that he wouldn't cheat on her. He knows that maybe Karen was trying to joke about it but in truth, she was secretly giving him a warning about his decisions.
When he grew up, he witnessed how his father cherished his mother with love and respect. He viewed everything about his father's rules, that if the mother was happy, the family was happy too.
And, even though he doesn't have plans to meet his mate, he was happy for her. Not only in bed but because he had a good mate who was always with him in desperate times. And he hopes that Leah had this kind of relationship.
In Samantha's mansion, Alpha Brandon can think properly. He didn't even know why he felt worried all of a sudden after he dreamed about Leah. He was worried that something bad might happen to her, and he was cursing himself that he wasn't by her side.
“Will you please stop walking? It's too irritating.” Samantha complained while she was reading the book in her hand. She glared at Alpha Brandon, who kept walking several times.
“I was worried about Alpha Leah. I think something bad happened to her now.” Alpha Brandon's voice was full of irritation. He was so bitter that it's been a week since he saw Alpha Leah.
“Stop overreacting, Alpha Brandon. I asked Leah to find Favio, so you can be free from here.” Samantha put down the book that she was reading, she lost the excitement that she was feeling because of Alpha Brandon.
‘This man was too head over heels for Alpha Leah. She's lucky!’
“N-No! I know that she was in danger. I dreamed that I was in her pack, and she was in the hospital, lying on the bed. She didn't even wake up!” Alpha Brandon's tears slowly formed in his eyes. And he knew why Leah was on the bed, and in a coma again, it is because she used her healing ability again.
“Okay, I will check her. Stop worrying about her, I think she's a fighter. Amoux didn't even deserve her.” Samantha says. Alpha Brandon stopped when he heard Samantha's words. He felt that Samantha had a valid reason to conclude like that.
“What did you mean? You told me that you went to her pack, right? What happened?”
“I think I wasn't in the position to tell this to you. But, I witnessed her arguing with Amoux. I think Leah was secretly blaming herself because of her, you're stuck here with me.”
“To make the story short, I saw Amoux choke her. How can a man do that to his mate?” Samantha added which made Alpha Brandon's eyes widen. His chest was moving more aggressively, and he wanted to punch Amoux for gagging Leah.
“Samantha, are you telling me this because you want me to get mad at Amoux and try my best to fight with him? He's a Lycan. And, he's Leah's mate.”
“And why would I do that? I don't even think that she's my enemy because I know she had a pure heart, and whoever her future husband was, he's lucky to have her.”
Samantha took the book and started reading again. Alpha Brandon continued tapping the floor which made Samantha distracted from what she was reading.
“Please, stop! I don't like what you're doing now. Would you please stop worrying about her?”
“If I saw her, I would be at peace. I need to know what happened to her or else I will be crazy.
Karen sighed in defeat, and she stood up. She moved her hands and a white cloud appeared in front of them.
“You want to find her, right? Okay, I will help you with this. You don't need to thank me because I am doing this. After all, Leah was kind.”
Alpha Brandon's eyes widened in disbelief when he saw that Leah was really on the hospital bed. Samantha sighed, and she remembered the days that she wants, it looks like she needs to obey everything.
“Shit! What happened to her, and what Amoux was doing?” Alpha Brandon inquired so Samantha moved her hands, and Alpha Brandon saw the Amount was doing nasty behind his true mate.
“Argh! How dare you, Amoux Sergio do this. I can't believe it.” Alpha Brandon's roared, and he was hoping that he can take Amoux so he will change with him.
He can't accept the fact that Leah's suffering turned into dust because Amoux was a jerk after all.
“I'm right? He's a jerk, and he didn't even deserve to be mates with Leah.” Samantha's voice was severe, and it looks like she didn't like that Amoux did this behind his mate. She loathed those cheaters and users.
‘I think that someone needs to see this. I will give this to Amoux's cousin.’
“Fuck you, Amoux. How dare you do this to your mate!” Alpha Brandon felt pity for the woman that he cherished. His hands turned into fists, and his breathing became so heavy that even his chest was pumping differently.
“You need to calm down. Amoux will regret everything that he did after all.”
“What did you mean? I don't understand your point.”
“Amoux wanted to be the Lycan King, right? I think he might get the throne, but in return, he can't be with Leah.”
“How did you say that?”
“I just know. But, if that happened it turned out to be a bloody battle between them. Alpha Leah was the Alpha of the Red Moon Pack and their pack enemy was Amoux's pack.”
“Bloody battle? Did you mean that someone might die?”
Samantha sighed, and she was hoping that she was wrong.
“I don't know. I will tell you again if it's true.”
“Samantha please, I need to know the truth. What will happen to Leah?”
“You don't need to think about her future. You should think that she needs to wake up, after all, the days that I settled with her were too near.”
Samantha was about to remove what they were looking for but she was surprised when she saw someone.
“They found Favio!” But her mouth hangs open when she sees the other man who looks like him. Her eyes were moist, and she almost didn't even swallow when she saw it.
“Who's this man?” Alpha Brandon glanced too and he was surprised that the man had Samantha's features.
“You have a son! You looked like him!” Samantha's body trembled and she began uttering more profanities. She was wishing that her master, who caged her in the mansion, was in front of her so she could punch him.
“Shit! What is happening? I don't even know that I had a son.”
