His Personal Omega Chapter 18

Leah’s Point of View

I have no idea why I am here.

Everyone was loud and bustling, but I stood alone in the corner with nothing to do. I ought to have just refused Anaya's invitation. Countless groups are already giggling, and I cannot even figure where Anaya and Amoux are.

"It seems that you are once again alone. The kid you are caring for has left, I see."

When someone suddenly spoke from behind me, I turned to see who it was, and I almost leaped with happiness when I saw Damon beaming at me with his hand behind him, like if he were a Prince, coming to rescue his princess.

"Damon!"

"So, where is the kid who always appears out of nowhere?"

"Kid?"

“Amoux—”

"Lovely day to each and every one of us and to everyone who attended our ceremony. I wish to inform you that today is an important day for the Nightwalker and Wind Winders packs."

He couldn't finish what he was going to say seeing as Lycan started talking and everyone was already paying attention to him.

"Here it goes."

Damon's whisper piqued my curiosity. What is happening?

Amoux and Anaya emerged from behind Lycan immediately after he concluded his speech. Anaya's face was sky-high, whilst Amoux's face was unpaintable. I wanted to laugh, but I couldn't, when Amoux looked at me directly.

His stare seemed to penetrate my soul, so I changed my position, but he did not break eye contact. After a time, he moved his focus to Damon, and with each glance, he perilously close to killing him.

"This is interesting."

After uttering those words, he abruptly pulled my waist closer to him. If I hadn't simply covered my mouth, I'm certain I would have screamed, and we would have attracted everyone's attention.

“Hey! What-what are you—-"

When he came close to mine and placed his lips on my ear, where I could feel his hot breath, my whole body almost grew cold. Still, he does not take his hand from my waist, so it seems as if our bodies are connected and I am embracing him.

"What are you doing, Damon?" I questioned him in a weak and insistent manner. Even if it's a delusion, I don't want Amoux to see our position right now in a different way.

"Are you not curious about his reaction?"

"What?"

"You're naïve, that's why he can turn you around so quickly."

He laughed out loud before separating himself from me. He walked away before turning back and waving. And before he exited, I heard him whisper. "Get yourself ready. I'll permanently annoy you from now on."

Unbeknownst to me, as he was departing, my mouth was gaping because of what he said, and I felt heat on my face. As I returned my attention to Amoux, he retracted his eye contact with me while clenching his hand and jaw in an aggressive way.

While he stood next to Anaya and was still surrounded by other royals, the bitterness of accepting that I was not an Alpha female gradually returned. If only I could convince Amoux, the Moon Goddess, to be my mate. But I am aware that this is improbable, regardless of when Omega and I may attain excessive affection.

"I want to preserve our royal blue blood bloodline and my legacy of authority for those who will succeed me on the throne. For this to occur, I need a pack with powerful forces. Fortunately, I now recognised who it was."

The murmurs got louder but what the Lycan said next made me deaf.

"She is Amoux's mate, Anaya Yera, from the Wind Winders Pack. She will soon help Amoux in establishing dominance over all Lycan and werewolves."
