Leah's point of view…
Alpha Giovanni and I immediately went with the members of the Red Moon Pack to start running together. I didn't speak anymore to show that I wasn't affected by what he was saying.
"Good morning. Later we will train!” I was surprised when Alpha Giovanni spoke while he was by my side. I didn't realize that he was next to me.
After a few minutes, we started running together. I sighed at the thought of the NightWalker, because they don't have anything like that.
We only ran and I was almost out of breath. I felt sad because I remembered Damon, who was always with me in practice.
'Damon, when I come back we will still practice together.'
I looked at Alpha Giovanni when he gave me bottled water. I immediately accepted it because I was very thirsty.
"When we return home, let's rest for a while. The servants are preparing so we can have something to eat," I just nodded when I heard what he said. He was staring at me and he opened his mouth as if he wanted to say something to me, but he decided not to.
I heard the happy voices of the children calling me. I approached them. It was fun to see the training outfits they were wearing.
"Luna, you're here too!"
"Luna, train me later!"
"Me too!"
"I should be the first because I was the first one who saw the Luna."
Gradually, our running companions turned to us because of their loud voices. I smiled at them before sitting down to be their equal.
"Sshh... If you make noise, I might not be able to teach you," They all became silent when they heard what I said. Kids are really fun, they don't care about rank. My heart softens because of them.
“Very good. And since you are obedient children, I will teach you everything. Don't be naughty and follow the elders."
They looked at me.
I felt like someone was staring at me, so I turned around. I saw Alpha Giovanni biting his lip. He seemed to be holding back his smile while avoiding looking at me. He walked towards me, then he imitated me sitting in front of the children. The children's eyes widened as Alpha Giovanni was in front of them.
"You guys are so funny! Are you happy with Leah?” He asked the children with a smile. My brow furrowed because he seemed to be teasing me for reasons I don't know.
"Alpha, is he going to be our luna?"
"Alpha, we love Luna."
"We will train properly for Luna,"
It was hard for me to breathe as I heard what they were saying. Alpha Giovanni snorted. "I will have many rivals. Even the children love you.”
“Alpha Giovanni, what are you talking about? Those are children, they don't know what they are talking about."
"Even though they are young, they trust and love you. Me too,” I stood up because of what Alpha Giovanni said. I love Amoux, I'm sure of that. But I don't know why Alpha Giovanni has such an effect on me.
We started running again but Alpha Giovanni didn't notice us. There was a time when I was embarrassed whenever I caught him always looking at me. He seemed so afraid that I might disappear from his eyes.
I mingled with the pack members and they didn't treat me as different. I didn't know that it was happy to have breakfast together.
"It's good that there's still bonding even though the ranks are different. That's one of the things my father's beta friend used to say, every pack needs unity," Alpha Giovanni explained to me even though I didn't ask.
Whoever that beta is, I admire him. He is the one who I can say can be the real leader of a pack.
"Where's that beta?"
"They're dead."
I felt sad because of what I found out. Even though they are dead, the Red Moon Pack still remembers the lessons that the beta said.
"Leah!" I turned around when I heard Alpha Rozen's loud voice. He looks fresh in his clothes.
“Tsk!” Alpha Giovanni.
"Good morning, Leah! Good thing we caught up with your breakfast. At least to be free from the Red Moon Pack,” Alpha Dylan and I laughed because we heard Alpha Rozen say. It was not obvious to him that he was suffering! As far as I know, his pack is one of the great and rich packhouses.
"You are really stingy! Aren't you ashamed that Leah might turn you off?" Alpha Dylan said sarcastically, but took the lead to grab a plate to eat.
Alpha Rozen frowned because of what Alpha Dylan said. But he also took a plate as if leading.
"Leah can't be turned off by me. He likes people who are practical, I think. He can be turned on by my good looks," Alpha Rozen said arrogantly, but Alpha Dylan frowned as he acted nauseated.
I looked at Alpha Giovanni who was in front of me as he faked a cough.
"Later, let's eat out, Leah," I couldn't believe what he said. Is he asking me out on a date? "I wanna date you, whether you want it or not," he added.
"Hey! What are you talking about? Why don't you tell us?” Alpha Rozen snorted while chewing. I was surprised to see that there was so much food on his plate.
"You don't need to know. I didn't know that you still liked to gossip," Alpha Giovanni said emphatically. It gave Alpha Rozen a bad look before leaving us.
The three of us looked at each other, then looked again at the distant figure of Alpha Giovanni. Alpha Rozen clutched his chest as if he was hurt by what Alpha Giovanni had done to him.
"What happened there? Why is he mad at me?”
"Jealous."
"Aha! I know that Giovanni is really jealous of me. After all, I am the most handsome of us. But that's not right.”
"Can't you just shut up and then eat?"
"Hey! Dylan, maybe you are also jealous of me."
"I want Leah to be Luna, but I won't be jealous of you! I'm more handsome than you and also smarter!"
"Are you saying I'm stupid?"
“Dude, you said that and not me!”
"Psh! Don't be insecure, okay? You are also handsome, but I am more!”
"Fucker, take care of your life!"
I just looked at the two Alphas in front of me. But I turned back to the road where Alpha Giovanni passed.
'What happened there? Why was he angry with Alpha Rozen?'
I shook my head. I shouldn't think about the reason because I'm sure I'm not the reason why he acted like that! Besides, what do I care if Alpha Giovanni gets mad? I do not care!
"Don't think about Giovanni," Alpha Dylan.
My eyes widened because of what he said. I don't know how he could tell that Alpha Giovanni was on my mind. We can't connect to mindlink, so how?
Alpha Dylan sighed.
"I've been seeing you staring at the path he passed. He won't come back because he's busy."
I went because I was shy. I also know that my cheeks are red because of what Alpha Dylan said.
"He will come back later during training. Don't worry about him," added Alpha Dylan.
Why is Alpha Dylan talking now? It would be better if he just kept quiet on one side!'
"I'm not worried about him."
“Oh, defensive!”
"I'm not defensive, Alpha Dylan!" I was stunned because my voice got a little louder. Alpha Rozen glanced at us as if wondering why I seemed annoyed.
Why does Alpha Dylan insist that I be defensive?! Not really! I'm not worried about Alpha Giovanni!
"Calm down because I'm just teasing you. You don't have to be afraid."
I breathed quickly, then took the water opposite me. I immediately drank it, but Alpha Dylan only smiled while eating.
'What's so funny? It's annoying that he's like this!'
Alpha Dylan was right because when the training was about to begin, Alpha Giovanni arrived. He was a fresh bath, and I could smell his dear perfume so much.
“We will have a battle. Don't think that this is just training. Imagine that you are in battle yourselves, and your lives are at stake!”
The children just sat to one side to watch. They even waved at me as if they were happy to see me.
“Leah, I can't wait to see you fight later. Don't let me down," Alpha Rozen whispered. His handsome face showed excitement.
“I believe that even women can win over men. So, we'll pick the best of each group. Women will compete. It's the same with men, until the strongest remains."
"We will not allow anyone to cheat. The fight will be fair.”
The other members murmured and were obviously enjoying the contest Alpha Giovanni was talking about. For me, this kind of training is also good, so that each member becomes stronger. And I was happy with what Alpha Giovanni said, it's not like a woman can't beat a man right away.
Women and men are separated. I even saw Alpha Giovanni looking at me, but I was so happy that I just ignored it.
Fewer and fewer are left to fight. Losers and winners are separated. In the end, whoever wins will also fight. Until the best of women and men remain.
"Leah, you're close, so don't let me down. I made a bet with you," Alpha Rozen whispered with a smile. Alpha Dylan just shook his head when he heard that. Alpha Giovanni was far away from us but his forehead was frowning. Alpha Rozen's lips were so close to mine that I was tickled every time he spoke.
"If you still love your life, stop Leah.”
I just didn't pay attention to the argument between the two of them because they were always like that. When I heard my name being called, I started walking. But I was stopped when a woman touched my shoulder.
"Luna? Ha, it's impossible for you to be Luna of the Red Moon Pack. Win this training so that everyone can see that I can beat you," she said angrily, making my lips part.
I stared at the woman's figure while walking away. She smirked at me as if she was sure I was weak.
I felt angry. I swear that by the time Amoux sees me, I will be strong. I'm going to prove to everyone that I'm not just an omega.
I ran to the training ground and felt nervous as I saw the observers watching us. I glanced at the woman I was going to compete with, she just smiled at me.
As I recall, he was one of the guards of the Red Moon Pack. We went to our position.
"Go, Leah! I love you!” Rozen shouted loudly, but I saw Alpha Dylan elbowing him.
I just ignored Alpha Rozen. I have to win here, I will win here no matter what.
"Are you all ready?" The man in our middle asked. We nodded together but I was just seriously looking at the woman who would be my opponent.
We immediately started fighting when we heard the word "Go!". Her quick action impressed me a lot.
Alpha Giovanni was right, his pack members were strong, especially the guards, so he wasn't afraid that I might escape.
“Will you be the Luna of the Red Moon Pack? You don't fit in," she whispered to me, then she kicked me in the stomach, which I immediately avoided.
I can't stand having someone look down on me. I will no longer cry on the sidelines every time I am treated unfairly.
I was so annoyed that I kicked her so hard that she groaned in pain. She looked at me angrily then attacked me again.
I'll make sure I'm the only girl left here!
