I was surprised when I heard Amoux and Damon were in the Red Moon Pack. I was going to stand up, but Alpha Brandon held my waist like he didn't want me to stop what we were doing. “I apologize; I didn't read it since I was planning to read this when I go to bed.”

Almera had panicked, but she stopped when I raised my hand. Almera prepared the silver sword that she was using for our training.
“Almera, calm down!” Kairo went to her and then touched her to make her calm. I hit Damon using my elbow, and he winced.

“Feisty!” I heard Alpha Bradon murmur; then he looked at me for so long.

“I am the Alpha of the Red Moon Pack, and you dare to disrespect me in my territory. You should be thankful I only pinch your ear rather than let my Beta behead you!”
“My sword is ready to cut someone's head if you don't want me to cut your head.” Almera sounds sarcastic, but she was grinning; I know she loves my feisty actions towards a Nightwalker.
“As if you can do it for me, Leah. I am your future husband.” Alpha Brandon and Amoux started growling when Damon said he was my future husband.
Amoux and Alpha Brandon stared at each other like they were fighting in the arena. Their eyes turned ruddy like they were ready to strike one another.
“Alpha Leah, I'll salute you for having a long line of men. I can't believe that the three men were fighting for you, like what the late three Alphas did.” Almera used the mind link to link with me.
My three Betas are just watching us. They are entertained by the sudden commotion at the entrance of the Red Moon Pack. In their eyes, we're like the actors in the movie that they like to watch.
“Will you all please stop this shit!” I used my Alpha tone, making my three Betas help me.
“Cool, Leah! You can even use your Alpha tone!” Damon says.
I tried to control my wolf; it seemed that it didn't like what had happened today.
‘Leah, you should go to your office. It would help if you trusted our mate.’
‘Bitch, the last time that Amoux went to the Red Moon Pack, he killed the three Alphas.’
‘Alright, I know about it. But it would help if you trusted me because I know Amoux will not do that. Damon is with him.’
‘And, why will I listen to you? You like Amoux so much; it means you aren't my alliance.’

“Almera, please usher them to the pack house.” Almera was going to complain when I turned my back on her. Alpha Brandon follows me like a pup again.
“Alpha Brandon, aren't you busy today? I don't even see Beta Thomas.”
“Alpha Leah, I am with you, so you don't need to search for someone who has a mate. I am available for you.”
“They are, too.” Alpha Brandon's appearance turned into a scowl when I grinned at him.
After my three Betas ushered Damon and Amoux to the Red Moon meeting room, Almera grabbed my hand, but her eyes were furious.
“What are you doing, Alpha Leah? The last time that asshole went in this pack, many members died!” I growled so loud when Almera called Amoux an asshole. My wolf didn't like it because Amoux was still our mate, even though I wouldn't say I liked it.
Almera was startled when my wolf acted overprotective to Amoux. She bowed her head in fear, but her eyes still had anger.
“I know what I am doing, Almera. I know Amoux didn't have the strength to go here if it was not an emergency.”
“He knows that he was your mate. I don't want him to take advantage of you.”
“Are you telling me that I am a nincompoop?”

“I am the Alpha of this pack. Almera, I want you to trust me regarding this. I trust Damon so much.”
Almera shook her head, but she didn't react. We both went to the meeting room, and a silent welcome me.
“Damon, what are you two doing here? I believe that it's an emergency since you all rushed here even though you know that my members will attack you two if they see you in our territory.”
“We're here to make sure that you're alright.” Amoux started. He glanced at Damon, who was nodding like he was saying that Amoux could continue what he wanted to spill.
I thought they were talking using the mind link when I heard Damon sigh in defeat.
“Alpha Leah, it's about you that I wanted to tell, but I want your Betas and your friend to be in the meeting room. I don't trust them.”
Almera started complaining that she won't leave me with the two members of the Nightwalker. I even heard Alpha Brandon disagreeing.
“Why do we need to leave? I don't want to leave my Alpha with the two of you!”
“I know that Leah won't like you all to learn about this.”
Is it about my healing ability? All of my pack members didn't even know that I could heal someone. I don't want them to take advantage of my healing ability since my life span will be decreased if I heal someone.
“You should leave, Almera. Please, take Alpha Brandon with you.”
Amoux, Damon, and I were the only three in the meeting room. Damon tapped the table like he was nervous about spitting the truth.
“Leah, we need to check you. Do you have a pack doctor here?”
“Why do I need to do that?”
“We discovered that a healer can detect a disease in their own body. So it means if you want the deadly disease, you aren't aware of it.” I was shocked by their news; it was too impossible for me!
Why can I detect someone's sickness, but I can't see it in myself?
“What do you mean? Damon, how is that possible?”
“Leah, Damon is telling you the truth. We learned that a healer couldn't sense their own body; that's what happened to your parents, too, right?”Amoux added, which made me feel nervous.
“This is how the hunters killed a healer; they put them with a deadly disease to die silently. And, we wanted to ensure that you don't have that disease in your body.”
