I AM THE NEW ALPHA Chapter 15

Lya's POV

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting its golden rays upon the wolf tournament grounds, a surge of adrenaline coursed through my veins.

The crowd's anticipation echoed in my ears, their cheers igniting a fire within me.

Center stage, I stood poised, my crimson fur shimmering under the moon's gentle embrace.

Before me stood a formidable opponent, a male wolf known for his strength and agility. The air crackled with tension, a silent understanding that only one of us would emerge victorious. The referee's signal pierced the night, and without hesitation, we lunged into battle.

In an instant, he launched himself towards me, his jaws snapping with primal hunger. Instincts took over, and I swiftly evaded his attack, my lithe form flowing effortlessly.

I countered with calculated precision, striking at his weaknesses, determined to gain the upper hand.

Our dance of dominance unfolded, a symphony of speed and strategy. His ferocity was unmatched, his raw power evident in every move. But I refused to back down.

Fueled by determination and the weight of my pack's hopes resting on my shoulders, I fought with unwavering resolve.

I moved with grace, each step a testament to my agility and skill. Dodging his advances, I chipped away at his defenses, exploiting openings with calculated precision. My eyes burned with an unyielding determination, my focus honed solely on victory.

The crowd's roar surged through the arena, their admiration spurring me forward.

The atmosphere crackled with anticipation as the male wolf, exhausted by my relentless assault, faltered. I seized the moment, sidestepping his final desperate charge, leaving him vulnerable.

In one swift motion, I pounced, sinking my teeth into his hind leg, rendering him immobile.

The arena fell into a hushed silence as the realization of my victory washed over us all.

The defeated male wolf, humbled and submissive, acknowledged my dominance.

I released my grip, standing tall and proud. The crowd erupted into thunderous applause, their admiration a testament to my unwavering spirit and unmatched skill.

In that moment, I felt an overwhelming sense of accomplishment, knowing that I had defied the odds and emerged triumphant.

As the cheers resonated through the night, a newfound sense of purpose surged within me. My victory was not just about personal achievement; it symbolized the resilience and unity of my pack. I had proven that determination and unwavering resolve could overcome any challenge.

With regal poise, I acknowledged the crowd's adoration, grateful for their support. This victory would forever be etched in the annals of the wolf tournament, a testament to my unwavering spirit and a beacon of hope for those who dared to dream. I had fought my way to victory, inspiring all who witnessed my ascent to greatness.

In the wolf fighting tournament, my bright performance surprised the GreyStone clan who once looked down on me, and many people told me that I succeeded too late, and if I had awakened my wolf earlier, I would not have been mistreated by the Kendall family at all.

As I passed Miguel's room, I could not help but look at the door that had appeared countless times in my dreams.

I often dreamed that when I walked through that door into Miguel' room, he could hug me with a smile.

But it was a dream after all, and in reality, Miguel and I had become strangers, although Miguel did not think so.

I withdrew my gaze and prepared to calmly leave when I saw a young girl with dark hair walk out of Miguel' room.

My heart sank as I witnessed the scene unfolding before me. The young girl, with her dark cascading hair, bore a striking resemblance to me. It was as if a cruel twist of fate had brought her into Miguel's embrace instead of me. The ache of betrayal gnawed at my core, threatening to engulf me in a whirlwind of emotions.

Miguel turned his back on me and embraced the young girl.

The weight of disappointment settled upon my shoulders, the weight of shattered dreams and unfulfilled promises. Everything mirrored the haunting visions from my dreams, yet reality painted a cruel picture that left me feeling hollow.

A maelstrom of conflicting emotions raged within me. Hurt, anger, and a deep sense of betrayal intertwined, fueling a burning fire within my chest. I fought to keep my composure, to maintain a semblance of dignity in the face of this heart-wrenching revelation.

With a heavy heart, I tore my gaze away, unwilling to witness their intimacy any longer. The pain threatened to consume me, but I summoned every ounce of strength to remain composed. I needed to gather my thoughts, to find solace amidst the chaos that now surrounded me.

As I turned to leave, the weight of the moment hung heavy in the air. The unspoken words and unfulfilled promises lingered, a bitter reminder of a love that had been snatched away.

So Miguel had actually found a new mate after rejecting me, yet still came to pester me. There was an unexplainable hard feeling in my heart, after all, it was my love for Miguel that kept me going during the time I was tortured by the Kendall family.

The young girl's presence served as a painful reminder of the life I had once envisioned, but it also ignited a fire within me — a fire that would propel me forward, pushing me to reclaim my worth and rewrite my destiny.

Though my heart still bled from the sight that had unfolded, I knew that I had the strength to rise above the pain. I would no longer allow myself to be defined by the love that slipped through my fingers.

In that bittersweet moment, I made a silent promise to myself. I would heal, grow, and redefine my happiness on my own terms.

The girl in Miguel's arms may have resembled me, but she would never possess the depth of my spirit or the resilience that would carry me through the storm.

With my head held high, I embarked on a new chapter of my life, leaving behind the echoes of a love that was never meant to be. In the depths of my soul, a flicker of hope emerged, guiding me towards a future where my dreams would be realized, and my heart would find solace once again.

In my haste to escape the suffocating atmosphere, my heart pounding in my chest, I carelessly collided with a fragile vase of vibrant flowers perched at the entrance. The vessel teetered precariously on the edge before succumbing to gravity's pull, shattering into a thousand fragments.

The tinkling sound of breaking glass echoed through the hallway, adding an additional layer of chaos to the turmoil that already consumed my mind. A mixture of regret and panic flooded my senses as I glanced back at the broken remnants scattered across the floor, the once-blooming flowers now trampled and wilted.

My initial instinct was to continue my retreat, to leave the shattered remains of the vase and its beautiful contents behind.

Miguel's POV

Amidst the warmth of the embrace with Nana, our moment was abruptly shattered by the jarring sound of a shattering vase.

Startled, I swiftly disentangled myself and turned towards the source of the commotion, only to be met with a captivating sight — a cascade of vibrant red hair that seemed to set the room ablaze with its fiery hues.

Leaving behind any semblance of decorum or proper farewells to Nana, my instincts propelled me forward, propelled by an inexplicable urgency. The pull of curiosity and an undeniable connection to the enigmatic figure with the fiery mane drove me relentlessly in pursuit of Lya.

As I dashed through the corridors, Lya's agile form eluded my grasp, her nimble movements carrying her with an almost ethereal swiftness. Determined not to let her slip away, I pushed myself to the limits, every muscle straining as I exerted tremendous effort to close the distance between us.

The chase was exhilarating, a symphony of pounding footsteps and racing hearts. The sound of my breath intermingled with the rhythm of our pursuit, a symphony of determination and longing.

I was propelled by an unspoken desire to catch up with Lya, to unravel the mysteries that danced within her captivating presence.

"Lya, you've got it all wrong!" I explained to Lya as I followed her.

"Whether it's true or not has nothing to do with me." Lya did not look back at me, she just sped up, "We do not have a relationship anymore, and whatever you do has nothing to do with me."

"Listen to me," I implored, my voice urgent and tinged with a sense of impending danger.

But before I could divulge the truth that had been weighing heavily on my heart, my words were abruptly cut short by a startling sight.

In a sudden, sinister twist of fate, a viper slithered into our path, its menacing presence sending a surge of adrenaline coursing through my veins. Time seemed to slow as the serpent's forked tongue flicked out and its predatory instincts took over, lunging towards Lya with deadly intent.

Reacting swiftly, my instincts kicking into high gear, I propelled myself forward with unwavering determination. Without a second thought, I pulled Lya protectively into my arms, shielding her from the venomous fangs that sought to harm her.

In a desperate bid to neutralize the threat, my leg swung into action, delivering a swift, well-aimed kick to the turquoise serpent. The force of impact sent it sprawling away, its hissing protest drowned out by the weight of the moment.

However, the victory over the viper came at a price. Even as my strike proved effective, the snake managed to sink its venomous fangs into my own flesh. Agony erupted from the point of contact, a searing pain that radiated through my body, sapping my strength and leaving me incapacitated.

As the intense torment enveloped me, I found myself unable to maintain my balance, my weakened form succumbing to the weight of the pain.

With no choice but to surrender to the throbbing anguish, I crumbled, unable to hold myself upright, my body sinking to the ground in a futile attempt to find respite from the overwhelming agony that consumed me.

"Are you okay?" Lya propped me up on my shoulders and let me lean against the trunk, her eyes red as if she was about to cry.

"I am okay, but," I looked at the base of my thigh with some hesitation, "I need to get the poison out, and this snake is very poisonous."

Lya did not hesitate, directly tore open my pants, the next moment her soft lips, which I once kissed, were sucking on the viper bite out of the wound.

A current of electricity hit my brain straight from Lya's lips and the intense pleasure almost made it impossible to think, and although I did not want to, my dick stood up and Lya might come into close contact with it once she turned her head.

Lya sat up, spat out the venom she had sucked out, and then looked at me with a red face, "You actually thought about that dirty thing while I was sucking out the venom for you! You rascal!"

Maybe this was a little weird, but I must say that Lya was really cute when she was shy.

I tugged at my shirt to block that area and then turned to Lya and said, "Let me explain, I am just..."

Before I could utter another word, a sudden change overcame Lya. Her hand instinctively shot up to her forehead as her legs gave way beneath her, causing her to collapse in a swift, alarming motion.

My heart raced with a surge of panic as I swiftly closed the distance, catching her delicate frame within the safety of my arms.

The scent of her body, a delicate fusion of floral notes and warmth, engulfed my senses, triggering an immediate and primal response within me.

The rush of desire surged through my veins, intertwining with the urgency of the situation, leaving me momentarily torn between the concern for Lya's well-being and the raw, unbridled attraction that pulsed through my core.

"What's wrong with you?" I questioned, my voice laced with both worry and confusion. The abruptness of her reaction heightened my sense of unease, stirring a growing apprehension within me.

Lya's hand remained pressed against her forehead, her expression betraying a hint of weakness. Despite her discomfort, she mustered a feeble reassurance, her voice tinged with vulnerability. "It's alright, I am just feeling a bit dizzy all of a sudden," she murmured, her words barely audible.

Concern etched deep lines on my face as I gently held her, providing a steady support for her fragile form. The juxtaposition of her vulnerability and the enigmatic events that had unfolded left me grappling with a whirlwind of emotions.

It was in this delicate moment that my desire and concern coexisted, mingling in a bittersweet blend that left me longing to ease Lya's discomfort and protect her from any further harm.

That's when I realized I was wrapping my hands tightly around Lya's waist. Her waist was so thin that I only had to use two hands to encircle her waist.

I imagined that Lya and I were not separated by this layer of clothing, and that my hands were directly touching her delicate skin...

I took a look at Lya's rosy cheeks, and I was sure she was thinking the same thing as me at this point.

Her lips were so fresh that I already missed the soft touch of the day she fell into Deepwood Lake.

I found myself consumed by an overwhelming surge of desire, an unrestrained force that eclipsed all rational thought and self-control. Unable to resist the magnetic pull between us, I surrendered to the temptation that enveloped us both.

With a mixture of anticipation and trepidation, my head instinctively dipped downward, drawing closer to the softness that beckoned me. The world around us seemed to fade into a blur, the only reality that mattered was the intoxicating closeness we shared.

As our lips finally met, a symphony of sensations erupted within me. The velvety texture against mine ignited a wildfire of sensations, the mingling of warmth and the taste of anticipation electrifying every nerve ending in my body.

Time seemed to suspend in that moment, the intensity of our connection eclipsing any semblance of reason or inhibition.

In that tender embrace, the world around us faded away, leaving only the palpable heat of our desire. The intimate act of kissing became a language of its own, a silent dialogue that conveyed depths of longing and unspoken emotions.

Lost in the depth of our shared passion, I surrendered myself to the intoxicating power of the moment, cherishing every stolen second as though time itself had ceased to exist.
