It was late and thankfully he wasn’t home. I was looking out of the window, my sleep deprived form just looking out.
It brought a sad smile to my lips thinking how I used to consider my life a definition of perfection but in reality everything was a piece placed by Prince to keep me out of this Mafia world.
To conceal my own identity and when Zaniel was about to use me in the name of love Prince came into my life, in a sense sheltering me from this harm but.. Why?
‘Didn’t have a kid because she couldn’t and when it came to marry me, my consent wasn’t even involved. Even being under the same roof was not my choice!’
Why was he doing this?
“Dammit.” I scoffed.
He could kill me and end this lineage, this whole ordeal of dictatorship, he was already ruling a large portion of the underworld still why? Why!?
As I was lost in my thoughts a deep scent reached my nostrils.
“Haven’t slept yet?”
There was no sense of movement but still I could feel by the ambience and fragrance that it was Prince.
“No.”
“Waiting for your punishment?” He chuckled seductively.
I hugged my sides, closing my eyes for a brief moment until his hand moved across, secured around me but not touching, trapping like a mouse.
I dared to open my eyes and spoke without looking at him, “Jealous?”
Laughing quietly, his blazing body made contact with mine, “Darling I sometimes wonder why…?” He whispered huskily in my ears, moving his hand over my shoulder.
“Me too.” I replied honestly, trying to act unaffected.
Humming over my neck, he buried his face on the crook of my neck, inhaling deeply, “Why do you still love the person who tried to kill you?... When you knew he was using you, still… Why?”
By the lowest and tender murmur, his arms attached with mine, hugging me from behind.
And I forgot about all those thoughts about his wife the second my body made contact with him.
My heart thumped against my chest along with a shiver, asking back in the same murmur, “I also ponder why am I alive? You basically have control over a large portion of the underworld Prince and my presence is a threat to your name and position, still…”
Pausing, speaking unwaveringly for the first time, “Imprisoned in your domain.”
Halting, his head lifted and inclined to my forehead, proceeding his left hand down to my waist to downwards, “Indeed.”
“Why?” I asked desperately but he slid his hand inside my shirt, when his strong hands felt over my skin, my breaths stopped.
“It is the same as the effect of my touch on your body.” He whispered temptingly, his lips positioned over my ears, turning me and pressing his chest firmly over my back with me and my hands on the wall.
“Undesirable yet desirable.” He hissed, scowling at this point, asking the serious question whose answer I was incapable of providing.
“Why do you deny my touch?” He asked in a growl, taking his hand out and holding both of my hands while kissing my neck- his mark to be exact gently.
“I sway you like no one…” He murmured, biting my neck. It was undeniably lust, he was lusting for me.
“I bet I can even fuck you better than your Zaniel.” He snarled, compressing my body, probably shaking in desire.
“I don’t want it.” I responded breathlessly.
“Why…?” I was left amazed when his tone came out broken but quickly changed into a dejected one, “Why don’t you want me but him?”
Removing his hands, he turned me to him, holding my waist rather protectively, pressing his forehead against mine.
“Does it scare you that much?” He asked in a hoarse whisper, moving his head away. The murk of his eyes cleared up but this glint of hope didn’t last longer as it converted into sorrow.
Nodding, I replied honestly regardless of the fact it could hurt him. “Yes. You frighten me the most, Prince.”
Averting his eyes, he only moved closer, hitting his breath on my lips burning them in inscrutable passion, asking again, “Does this scare you?”
Gulping hard, my lips persuaded the terrible omen, “Yes.”
“Why?” I asked again and was about to touch him but his posture broke.
“Your fear provokes me!” Whisper-yelling, he grabbed my arms, speaking what’s buried for the first time, “I don't want it but it arouses me… and definitely not in a good way. You weren’t supposed to be like this, you should be rebellious. What about me terrifies you so much?” He asked hurriedly, panting desperately reflecting the emotions I failed to notice all this time.
All of his actions are the result of the attraction he felt for me.
He married me to make it legal but it wasn’t enough. Whether he knows it or not but somewhere… he feels what he shouldn't for me.
Lowering my head, I whispered vaguely, “It’s… beyond my control, Prince.” With this I pulled away from him and walked away.
“I see….” With a slow yet sad nod, he went to the bathroom without speaking further as I was left dazed about what happened.
What elicited such unforeseen emotions from me and I was petrified of the day when he would accept these emotions and it would be out of my capacity to bear.
I sat on the bed, sighing, shaking my head to let out these thoughts from my mind as he came and sat on his side, back to his dominant posture.
“And yeah, there’s a grand party all of us are going to. You will be introduced as my wife, it will save the bother of attending individual parties.” He told me nonchalantly, using his phone after climbing under the covers.
“Okay…”
“Remember, you are going to attend it as my wife. Keep this status in your mind.” He reminded me.
“I will.”
“Uh.. Prince.” I called, turning to him.
“Hmm?” He hummed, without looking up from his phone.
“Can I ask you something?”
“What is it?”
“Fire Amanda. Let me take care of Sky.” I blurted, finally gaining his attention.
“Why?”
“I don’t want Sky… to hate me. Please, I will take care of her, I will do it.” That way I can at least earn reprieve and hold your sensitive nerve.
He stared at my face for a long time and then went back to his phone, “You are the Madam of the Palace, do whatever you want and Yeah, I am going to change your name from Cinzel Collins to Cinzel Silvester.”
Woah, watch me having three surnames, Collins, Silvester, Alroy.
“Silvester…?” I asked.
“Wife of Prince Silvester.” He shrugged. I never knew his last name was Silvester! I thought he never had one. Oh- The mansion’s name is Silvester Mansion.
“Is it necessary? Can’t you leave it as Collins and when the time comes, turn it back to the original one, Cinzel Alroy.” I suggested hesitantly.
“So you don’t even want my name?” He asked, almost becoming outraged and sorrowful.
“Prince-”
“You know what? Leave it. If that’s what you want.” He sighed, curling his lips downward as I couldn’t wrap it around my head that he actually agreed to my words.
Without exchanging much words, we both went to sleep. The next day, I fired Amanda.
“Why? She has been with Sky for three years now.” Penelope and Astrid asked, not liking my decision.
“But, I am here now.” I reasoned, closing my arms at my chest.
“Your work here is done, Amanda.” I smiled, they couldn’t argue so Penelope left angrily, dissatisfied that I was using the rights forced upon me.
“Are you sure?” Astrid asked as I nodded.
“Yes, I am here for Sky.” I told her. Amanda nodded but stopped and came to me.
“Before I go, I need to tell you one thing, Madam.” She said moved closer so no one could hear and whispered her last words-
“Boss is coming.”
