‘Things were getting out of my control… He was… taking over me.’
“Cinzel.”
Lifting my chin, he made me confront his demanding eyes, brushing his thumb over my dry lips, his face lethally close to mine, restricting my breath to cope with his inflamed ones.
“Can I tell you a secret?” He asked seductively with his lips too close to mine, when his thumb gradually removed.
I thought his lips were going to replace it but instead to my vague nod, his murmur came, “I want to become necessary for your breaths.”
You are becoming…
The anticipation paused my functions, dread made me swallow hard and when he noticed the thread of fear, he removed his hand and moved away from me with a long sigh.
‘I hate what no one else could- he does to me.’
“I can’t do anything about this fear.” He said, getting away from me.
“Why?” I asked.
“It’s beyond my capabilities.”
Breathing out, my lips curled upward in a mocking manner, asking in disbelief, “So controlling my life is in your hands, obstructing my senses is in your hands, manipulating my body is your skill but annihilating a goddamn terror is not.” I scorned, taking a step closer.
Narrowing my eyes in dismay I hissed at this wall between us which probably be the biggest hindrance of our path.
“Don’t lie, Prince. You never wanted to.”
“Why?” I asked.
“Does it satisfy you?” I asked in a whisper to which he replied quickly, taking my hands firmly in his, “No!”
“Then-”
I was about to speak but Garry came, “We have to leave, Young Lord.”
All the ardent emerging on his face faded turning into his stoic expression but frowning, I spoke up first.
“No, Your Young Lord is not going anywhere today.” I enunciated, turning to look at Prince who was surprised by my words.
“He is going to stay here.” I ordered. Looking at me with his unfathomable eyes, he wanted to say something but decided not to.
“Young-”
“Leave.” Prince said, not removing his eyes from mine.
“But-”
“Didn’t you hear what she said? Leave.” Nodding, Garry left as I smiled a little.
“I didn’t know my words matter this much.” Chuckling, I got away from him.
“This was your first order.”
“It wasn’t.” I replied, looking around.
He arched a brow but I continued, “My first order was firing Amanda. This is my second order.” I told him. He smirked, “I see.”
I hummed and he asked, “So… what are we supposed to do?” Prince asked and I mentally scolded myself.
Forming my lips in a thin line, I tried to think of something and remembered he told me something before leaving,
“You said you wanted to show me something.”
“Yeah, I wanted to but it’s not the right time for it.” He shrugged.
“Why?” I asked, turning to look at him.
“Because…” He smiled faintly, coming closer, tapping my nose with his index finger, he continued, “It’s special.”
“Okay. I will wait for it.” Smiling back, I nodded a little.
“Anyways, since we are here, I shall explain to you how things work. The basics, you know.” He cleared his throat.
“Okay…” I mumbled in annoyance.
What I thought in my mind of how we will spend a day together, trying to overcome inner demons and this turned out to be a lesson.
“Since you are coming back, Silvester, Ayle and other two Families, Ezekiel and Hyraz are under your direct order.” He said, my face lit up in glee.
“You will be under my control?”
My tongue slipped, mentally scowling at myself, I was about to change my sentence but he chuckled, “Yes.”
“Anyways, Silvester and Ayle are mostly involved in trading of guns and drugs, of course we use code for it, I will tell you about it Later.” He started and then decided to not stop.
“We export them to Italy to Ezekiels where they take control. They are good at illegal auctions, human trafficking and controlling dark webs. It’s controlled by Issac from front but in reality his daughter Zariah is in-charge- she is a dark woman and highly unpleasant. And lastly, Axel Hyraz is a twisted guy, they are involved in everything, cut off from us but every sinister thing has been done by him.`" He explained as I was trying to register the information I just gained.
I smiled and blinked to show him it all went over my head and I barely processed whatever he told me.
“And you expect me to control all of them?” I asked in amazement.
“You have to, but we have time, I shall teach you how to behave and everything.” He tried to assure me.
“No, Prince. How do you expect me to do all this? Okay, Valencia Alroy might have done it but I can’t.” I argued.
“Listen Cinzel, I am here for you. You can do this, you will know it soon.” He said.
Sighing, I hold my forehead, rubbing my temples, “And who is this Nathaniel then? You might be a criminal for ages but it is frightening to hold any connection with the Plague Doctor.”
My heart began to pound rapidly only by thinking what he could possibly do.
“You first told me he is dangerous and I have to avoid him and now saying he will kill anyone upon my words.” I frowned, hoping to get some answers from him but he only responded when he wanted to.
“Cinzel, You-” He was about to say something but his phone rang.
“Hello?”
His face turned pale for a moment, disquiet about the expression creeping upon his face. I couldn’t fathom what could make Prince tensed.
“W-Who are you?” He asked and the call suddenly got disconnected.
“What happened, Prince?” I asked worriedly.
Suppressing a growl, knowing it would evoke my terrors, emitting a deep sigh, “I have you teach you everything you need to learn now.”
“Why?”
And apprehensively, what De Villiers said became true.
“Because you are going to rise next Monday.”
