Wearing my white slide slit maxi dress, I looked at the brown envelope that I holding on. I took a deep breath, Abot ata sa korea ang kaba na nararamdaman ko. Every steps, Napapapikit ako. I pulled the glass door. This is the first time I'm going to apply and I don't know if how I can handle this. I hope Magen will go easy with me.
When I already entered, the smell of coffee immediately attacked my nose. It smell so good! Parang hinihila ako sa counter para umorder. I examined the place, it was vintage theme. There is a high chair and table that looks like used by a wooden materials. Damang-dama ko ang pagiging makaluma pero mayroong dating. This cafeteria looks cool! Magen have a good taste huh?
Some customers parted their lips when they saw me. Of course they will. I knew they already notice my tiny waist. Actually, Some of my friends saying that I looked like a model and a very stunning women. I have a thick and strong eyebrows that makes me look fiercer. My color gray eyes shows different emotions. I have a wide lips that make my face more mature. Well... Oh chill, ako lang 'to.
My attention was caught by the students on one side. I have now noticed that there is a mini photobooth spot! They were holding like paper props and there was a man who held a canon camera looks like he's taking a picture for the students.
Sa balikat niya pa lang na mukhang kayang buhatin ang isang daan na baldeng pagmamahal ko sa kaniya ay kilala ko na. Is he a photographer or an owner? really?
I immediately felt the fluttering of my heart when I started walking towards him. There's something about my steps like I'm walking at the sky while I'm staring at his back. Hindi maiwasan na maexcite!
"Kuya Magen, Babalik kami mamaya after class!" they giggled.
Seriously? Does Magen like those girls with a ribbon hairclip and pink lipstick?! I swallowed hard and raised my brows. I walked confidently towards them. Naramdaman ko pa ang paggewang ng straight kong buhok.
Even my knees started to trembled I face him. He's smiling and when he saw me, he raised his brows and his smile immediately fade. Though I was nervous I was still manage to give him a sweet smile. A smile that can stain to his heart and mind.
Why he can't smile at me?
"Sige, Balik kayo.. but make sure study first.." he said at the students using his husky voice.
I swallowed hard when he rolled his eyes when he saw me. The girls immediately nodded and smile widely like they reached the sky full of stars.
"Kuya Magen! Girlfriend mo?" the other girl asked and pointed me.
I smiled widely, Oo, girlfriend niya ako. Maybe this is just a dream, right?
"Yes.." I answered while wearing my usual smile, a sweet one.
Hindi naman umapila si Magen. Maybe he knows that It just a waste of a time to argue with me. I felt that my heart twitch! Is this normal? The beating of my heart... What the hell is this?
I heard their groaned before walking out. I pouted when Magen eyes darted at me. His brows furrowed when he fixed the camera. Hindi ko alam kung saan ako titingin it feels like his gaze can make my whole body dash.
"Why are you here?" he seriously asked.
Why he's now serious? kinakabahan tuloy ako. I pouted, Pinakita ko sa kaniya ang hawak kong envelope. He looked at it without any emotion. He took a deep breath as if I arrived here like a storm that he didn't want to happen. It's hurt, okay?
I sighed "I want to apply.." I still manage to smile and give him the envelope.
He just stared directly at my eyes. Argh! Can you please stop? He started walking leaving me with a hanging hand in the air! Hindi niya ba nakita na inabot ko sa kaniya 'yung envelope? Ang harsh niya! Pahiya dot com ako do'n, hmp!
He chuckled "My cafeteria is not a club, Heart," he huskily said.
I followed him, It's fine tho. I'm going to try! A girl at the cashier stare at me. Looks like she's watching my every moves . Oh, she looks like a bitchy girl. Parang kaya niyang manapak ng customers sa way of her stare. She simple wear a brown t-shirt with a print at the right chesk. Nakaponytail siya at nakahairnet. Her face still looks beautiful.
Duh, I knew that this is not a club. Kung club 'to baka mas sexy pa na dress ang suot ko. Revealing the sexy curve of my waist that I have!
"I know this is not a club this is a cafeteria that you owned," I sighed and tried to catch his gaze.
But he didn't intend to look at me. Like I'm a sun and he's a ordinary person that can't look at me because the lights annoy him.
"We're not hiring.." he said without mercy.
I swallowed hard. I heard the cashier girl sniffed. My eyes drifted at her name plate. I bit my lower lips and smile weakly at her. Oh, I really want to work here!
"You are applying, Miss?" she smiled sweetly.
I blinked twice, I thought this girl named Anica will be a bitch at me! My heart began with a pounding on her question that gave me hope.
I nodded "Yeah, Kahit waitress, " I awkwardly said.
Damn! What did I said? Waitress? I didn't know how to wash a dishes then here am I asking if they can hire me as a waitress? Wiping those shity trash that other made?! Oh, come on, Heart! Think properly!
Ngumiwi siya at sinamaan ng tingin si Magen.
"Act professional," the girl said and looked at me. "You can start tomorrow," she smiled.
My eyes widened, Ano daw? Start agad? OMG?! Seriously? Tomorrow agad? I didn't buy enough make up that I can use for tomorrow!
"Really?!" I almost jumped!
She nodded "Wait, Kunin ko 'yung uniform mo," Tumingin siya kay Magen "MWF na lang 'tong si Miss sexy," she giggled at me.
Naramdaman ko naman ang pamumula ng pisnge ko, Yeah! Some of people that I knew was praising me but today it feels different. Nasa harapan kami ni Magen.
Sinilid ko sa likuran ng aking tainga ang ilang hibla ng buhok. I looked at Magen who suddenly rolled his eyes.
Oh.. he really hates me that much huh? I didn't do anything wrong! So why? Ang gara niya!
I pouted "What time can I start?"
He glared at me, He put his hands inside his pocket at bit his lower lips. I felt like my chest pounding so fast. I blinked thrice, I can't breath properly.
Looking at his face looks like a painting of a famous painter. It looks good to stare at. He has a strong eyebrow that when it furrowed my heart will twitch unconditionally. He also have a long and black eyelashes. His dark eyes, Its scary. He have a double eyelid and monolid that looks like a door of epitome and passion. He has a strong a pointed nose that is perfectly build. I looked at his fine-drawn lip that have a very protruding cupid's bow that I want to lick. He has sharp and fine define jawline that well-drawn.
His stare is very intimadating, 'yung tingin niya ay parang nasa isa kang mataas na building at nakatingin sa baba, Its scary. He's a dazzling attractive and one glance is not enough because its horrified to avoid staring at him. He have a clean cut reason why the hotness of his existence revealed. He can make a girl kneel and worship him with just a glance. When he licked his lower lips you will wanted to beg at him to be yours. When you near at him, You will realize how lucky you was to met a guy like him.
To be with him is a damn wish come true!
"Don't talk to me," he harshly said and left me.
I take a deep breath, Pinagkrus ko na lang ang braso habang pinapanood siyang naglakad palayo sa'kin. He really like that huh?
"Sorry, Masungit talaga 'yon sa ibang babae pero I wonder bakit sa'yo ay sobrang sama ng tingin niya? Miss, may ginawa ka bang masama kay Magen?" Anica said and raised her brows.
I pouted and shook my head, I didn't do anything wrong! He's just stupid to avoid me. Stupid na gwapo!
"What time I can start?" I asked to change the topic.
She smiled at me before giving me a paper bag. I looked at it and it was my uniform. It's two weird t-shirt with a print in the right chest and under the small print of cup coffee there's DM's Cafe word printed . This weird uniform have a cap sleeve and convertible collar. Oh! This uniform looks weird its old fashion!
"Mga 7:30 dapat andito ka na. Pinaka-ayaw ni Magen 'yung late. By the way tatlo lang 'yan since MWF ka lang naman. Working student kasi ako and tuesday, thursday and saturday ang classes ko wala lang skl," she laughed at me.
I awkwardly nodded and smiled at her. She looks happy while saying that. What's funny ba?
"Oh, you're working student. Why? I mean don't you have parents?" I raised my brows because of curiousity.
She will be distracted! Mabuti na lang hindi ko nararanasan na maging working student! Siguro nahihirapan sila. Imagine, Instead of staying and relaxing inside there house they going to make money.
Napabuntong hininga ako at pinagmasdan siya. Pag-aralin ko kaya 'to?
She nodded "Yes, Hindi naman na iba sa'min ni Ate si Magen. Si Papa matagal ng patay samantalang si Mama naman nasa Korea at 'yung Ate ko naman malapit na 'yon maengaged napifeel ko na e," she laughed again and fixed her bangs.
Sumalumbaba ako sa counter "Oh.. Gusto mo pag-aralin kita?" I sincerely asked.
A girl like her deserves it. Mukhang hindi naman siya nakakahinayang pag-aralin. I can saw the pattern of her successful future.
Her eyes widened "Naku! No need! Hindi naman na kailangan. My Ate had enough money 'tsaka may ipon ako. Kung minsan naman nagpapadala si Mama kaya hindi na kailangan! Thank you ang bait mo kaya hindi ko alam anong mayro'n kay Magen kung bakit parang iritado sa'yo!"
I pouted "Okay.. By the way, I like him kasi and I think he's annoyed at me," I flip my hair and lean at the counter blocking the two of us.
I took a deep breath, What's wrong with me? Bakit parang nandidiri si Magen sa'kin? Maybe I look like a flirt but I'm not!
Does chasing a person that you love is being a flirt? being martyr? Idiot? Stupid? Hell no! A big no!
She covered her mouth like I shock her with my words "Hala! Talaga?!" I nodded "Sabagay! Gwapo si Magen. Harsh lang 'yon lagi. Kaya if emotional ka baka hindi mo 'yon matagalan. 'Yung bibig no'n walang preno. Sinasabi niya kung ano ang naiisip niya sa'yo if he want pero may pagkasnob rin sa iba na hindi niya kilala," kwento niya.
"Are you two close?" I asked and raised my brows.
Without any dubiousness she immediately nodded. A few students came to order that why Anica could first focus the attention to all of them. I counted them... Four students. Three guys and one girl. While Anica is fixing the order of the students I have noticed that all of them staring at me. I can see the admiration drawn into their faces while looking at me. They even examined my whole as if I was a research paper that needed to be studied.
I waved my hands at them "Hi, I'm going to be a waitress here. Please come again," I said sweetly and blink like a puppy.
Mukha namang nagulat sila sa sinabi ko. Well, talagang nakakagulat. A women like me? Waitress? Oh c'mon. I'm not disrespecting the waitress-- it's kinda ahm.. you know, me being maarte. I'm not be suitable for this job.
"Oh! Waitress po? Really?" The girl with a high ponytail asked. She looks cute tho.
She even covered her mouth and examined again my whole. It's awkward.. the admiration her face was genuine. Para bang manghang-mangha siya sa itsura ko.
"Yes, Tomorrow pa ang start ko. I hope you'll come here often," I shrugged my shoulder and smiled.
It's fun siguro if I will have a friends here while working. They look good naman. Sila 'yung kapag tiningnan ay malalaman mo na agad na abala sila sa pag-aaral. They look genius to be specific.
"Sige po!"
"Thanks!"
I nodded and smiled, When Anica gave them their order they said goodbye to me and promise me that they going to come back here by tomorrow. I just said 'thank you' and that's all.
"Pakiramdam ko dadami ang mga customers dito dahil ang galing mo makipagsocialize. Sa unang expression mukha kang masungit pero hindi naman talaga. By the way, Kahit ano ang iterno mo sa uniform na binigay ko. Pants, skirt or short will do, as long as you are comportable with it," Anica said.
Napakamot ako sa ulo. I really don't like the style of the uniform that she gave. I mean-- her uniform is kinda different compare at me. She just wearing a brown t-shirt with the same print and that's all. It's more convenient for me.
I sighed "This style of uniform looks like an old fashion.." I can hear the sadness of my tone.
I put my uniform back at the paper bag. I act like this uniform defeated me and I felt really damn miserable!
"Maganda naman kaso masyadong mainit lang tingnan. Hindi naman mahigpit si Magen when it comes sa uniform kaya kung gusto mo ay minsan mag brown t-shirt ka na lang," she added and pouted.
My lips immediately arise when I heard what she said. So-- I can do something with my problem, huh?
"Thanks for that.." I laughed.
When I got inside the hotel, Some of the people around look at me. Like I hooked their attention. To make this thing clear--- I'm not a attention seeker. They just like that. Naalala ko tuloy sila Shainie, one of my classmate when I was in highschool. She really hate how I dress and she called me 'attention seeker' for nothing. Naiinis kasi siya sa paraan ng pagdadamit as if naman hindi niya ginagaya 'yung mga pormahan ko. She's just a insecure bubble, bubble because she immediately dissappear when I'm about to fire her a fire.
"Tanggap ka na sa trabaho?" Chave asked me when I entered my unit.
He's just sitting at my couch and raised his brows. He wear a black simple t-shirt and a khaki short.
I nodded "I can start tomorow morning at 7:30 am. Pwede mo ba ako ipagdrive today? I will treat you a dinner at the nearest restaurant. I just badly need to go out," I said and sat down beside him.
"Whoa.. kakauwi mo lang aalis kana ulit? Where are you going? It's just 3pm in the afternoon.." he seriously asked.
I know notice that he's watching a tv. Netflix---
"Maybe later, Mga 4pm pa ang schedule ko. D'yan lang sa Makati," I answered and close my eyes.
"Makati?! Oh damn hell no! Ang traffic-traffic! Why don't you shop here at Robinson manila? It's just near! And what? Makati? Oh, I don't want. Masyadong traffic papunta do'n!" He complaint.
Okay, I expected that! He really hate it. Me too...

I hate traffic!
I just nodded like an idiot and stood up. I decided to take a nap for a couples of time. I need it, Tomorrow will be a new day.
I'm going to be a waitress and my cousins will definitely laugh at me especially Denver, Neejan and ofcourse Chave.
