Limited Time Marriage: Nice to Meet You Mr. Foster Chapter 348

South Grant was sipping his cocktail at this moment, and upon seeing the message from Nathan Foster, he choked heavily.

He choked so hard that tears came out.

Just then, South Grant saw a hand in front of him handing over a tissue. He looked up and saw it was Vivian Lockwood.

"Thank you." South Grant took the tissue and wiped.

"Why aren’t you playing with them?" Vivian Lockwood sat down next to him.

"I’m not good with alcohol." South Grant shook his cocktail, looking for an excuse.

Drinking is something that needs to be done with familiar people to be enjoyable.

At times like this, during games like these, South Grant usually wouldn’t get involved.

The person sitting next to Chester Lynch had been watching Vivian Lockwood since he arrived.

Seeing Vivian now sitting beside South Grant, showing a gentleness she typically didn’t have.

Men can be jealous too. He had been trying to get Vivian’s attention before, but she brushed him off and deliberately avoided him.

Now she was wholeheartedly attentive to South Grant, which made him very jealous.

"A big man acting all girly, sitting there just drinking cocktails, not playing with everyone else, you might as well become a woman."

This person known as Fly in the group, spoke loudly, and the people who were laughing and joking paused when they heard him.

Not knowing who he was talking about, everyone looked at him.

His gaze landed on South Grant.

Chester Lynch couldn’t help but frown, about to speak when South Grant, smiling, interjected:

"Who says men can’t drink cocktails? Besides, what’s wrong with being a woman? I think being a woman is an honor; they’re the most beautiful group of people in the world. What men can do, women can also do, and what men can’t do, women can still do. I don’t understand where the supposed superiority of men over women lies?"

South Grant smiled gently, looking every bit the gentleman.

Yet, his words cut sharply.

South Grant’s words stirred applause from the women present.

Initially, they had looked down on South Grant due to Fly’s words, but now he had skillfully turned the situation around.

South Grant kept his gaze fixed on him, with a subtly cold smirk.

She’s always been one to live and let live.

But she’s no pushover.

Fly was left speechless by South Grant, and seeing others clap for him, he defiantly said:

"From ancient times to now, women have always been subordinate to men. Up to now, it’s mostly men who hold official positions, lead troops, and engage in business. Tell me, what is something a woman can do that a man can’t?"

"Having babies." South Grant said, giving him a sideways glance afterward.

Pff...

Someone chuckled, and soon the whole table burst into laughter.

"What’s so great about having babies? Isn’t that exactly what women are supposed to do? Men go out to earn a living, if women don’t have kids, what’s the point of having them?" he said, self-righteously.

"Hmm, makes sense. I think you should go tell that to your mother when you get home."

With that, South Grant’s words provoked another round of uproarious laughter from those seated.

South Grant didn’t say much, but his words always hit the mark, leaving the opponent at a loss for words.

Fly, infuriated by South Grant, stood up and walked towards him.
