The morning came, and it felt weird that we were getting along again after what happened yesterday. I'm now studying the thesis he wrote, which he surprisingly finished while his company was in the middle of a crisis. I kept asking him last night how he managed to finish it in just a span of a few days—I didn't even get to notice it at all. He told me that while I was sleeping in his room, he would sneakily get out of the room to brew himself some coffee and get my laptop in my room. He also said that he had a hard time guessing the password of my laptop, but he eventually got it anyway. It's a good thing that I didn't keep important details about my personal lives on my laptop, because if I did, he might know something about me that I don't want him to know.
I'm now eating my breakfast since last night we slept together in his room again, and he woke me up by kissing my shoulders. He has this thing about my shoulders that he loves to kiss, and I once asked him why he keeps kissing them, and he just said that he finds them so cute that he kisses them all the time.
"What will be your classes for today?" He asked as he placed a cup of coffee in front of me.
"I've only got a thesis review today with three of my professors," I said while still eating some small pancakes. He also did what I did with it last time.
"Then I'll pick you up on campus later," he said as he sat down beside me.
We are both ready to go, and we're just taking a bite from what he prepared. He'll go to the office today before he passes some papers on to the faculty later; meanwhile, I've got a two-hour consultation with my professors for my study. It feels like we're already married, depending on how we act.
I've gotten a bit conscious when he wipes the side of my lips while I'm still saying random stories about our classmates. The reason he didn't attend some of the classes today is because he already took them during his third year. He took some subjects so that he could have some free time during our last year. That's a good decision, though.
"By the way, I did something to that idiotic brat, Chrissie," I said, and then eventually told Cooper everything that I did to that girl. I even demonstrated what I did to him, but he suddenly stopped me.
"I understand what you did," he said, so I scowled. How could he be aware of it?
"Luke let me know the previous evening that I ought to get you currently in that neglected parking area where you put that lady. Your sibling informed me that you're regarding to kill that lady in light of the haziness of your eyes the previous evening. He doesn't have the foggiest idea how to stop you, yet it seems like your sibling let me know that he saw that you're not absolutely frantic at that vampire; you essentially need something where you can vent out your displeasure," Cooper made sense of.
Perhaps what he said is right sooner or later. I was so baffled the previous evening that I even kicked Chrissie's seat at whatever point I ponder Cooper's face and his weighty eyes that didn't actually look at me yesterday. I concede I'm to blame, however what can be done?
I frowned and turned away from Cooper. I felt a piece humiliated, so I even stepped my feet due to what he said.
"Try not to repeat the experience," he said as he stood up and got his plate. I'm as of now done eating, so he gets my plate and places it in the sink.
"In any case, that's what that young lady merits!" I dissented.
"However, she ought not be your punching sack, alright?" He said that just to make his statement.
I frowned at him and just strolled to get inside my room. I was setting up my things for school when I felt him behind me. I can smell major areas of strength for him, yet I disregarded the way that he's only there despite my good faith. Likely when he saw that I won't utter a word, he embraced me from behind and kissed the rear of my neck.
It creeped me out, and I felt frail as he did that. That is whenever he first kissed me on that part, and I've previously got this sensation in my body. I out of nowhere felt warm; this isn't common for me. I'm a vampire, for the wellbeing of God!
He influenced our bodies like we were moving to a sluggish beat, and I just couldn't resist the opportunity to confront him. Now that I'm gazing directly into his face, I can't resist the urge to delicately pant. I recently started to understand he has the most lovely arrangement of eyes I've at any point seen. Its tone is blue with smidgens of green on the external part. It's amazing.
"Hey," he unexpectedly said.
"Are you still sane?" I prodded him.
"What about you then, at that point?" He prodded me back.
I giggled at it, and we simply both moved as there was music playing, investigating each other's eyes. As I took a gander at it, I really wanted to suffocate. It seems like something's pulling me to accompany him and do anything for him. What sort of divination is this?
"I - "
I'm going to say something, yet I was interfered with when he put his brow on mine. I can now feel each pulsating of his heart and each breath that he takes. How is he treating me? I feel like my hands are getting sweat-soaked despite the fact that it's not in any event, occurring. I peered down and shut my eyes. All I need to feel right currently is him holding me like this for eternity.
I would rather not just let it out, yet...
I believe I'm beginning to like him.
I'm beginning to like every little thing about him. From his face down, all of his character shows. I'm beginning to acknowledge each defect he has, and I'm not even terrified about it. I feel the entirety of that at this moment.
We possibly got hindered when one of his workers called him on his telephone and let him know that he was at that point required in the organization. Thus, we previously went to the parking area to get in an alternate van. His way to the workplace is not the same as mine, so we have our particular vehicles.
Before he left me, he kissed my temple before everyone, and even I was staggered by what he did. I don't have the foggiest idea what to express, yet since his workers can't utter a word, all they did was prevent themselves from grinning — even me as well.
I was en route to grounds when I saw a notice on my telephone. It's the administrator of the lodging where I need to hold my gathering. She messaged and at last considered me when I told her that she could call now. She let me know that they'd make the date I gave them free for me the entire day. Consequently, I let them know that I would give a major tip and disclose a decent commercial for their inn. They concurred with me, and I quickly called Jamaica about it.
"Hello, bitch, what's the update?" She asked immediately via telephone.
"The inn concurred," I said as I looked on my PC while I was conversing with her. "Coincidentally, might you at any point let mother know that I've previously sent the plan for the entire scene in her email?"
"I figured you would have rather not gotten your folks associated with the planning?" Jamaica sounded so stunned.
"They'll get themselves included at any rate." I feigned exacerbation after hearing that.
"So when will you be allowed to discuss every last bit of it face to face?" Jamaica inquired.
"I don't have classes on Wednesday and Thursday, so how about we meet tomorrow," I said mindfully.
"Copy that, sister," she said before she finished the call. I bet she's still in somebody's townhouse after what I saw on his Instagram the previous evening, in view of her voice some time back.
Since Cooper has completed my proposition for me, I can at last begin to plan for the wedding that will occur on Saturday. Since I'll have some spare energy tomorrow, I can at long last settle on those subtleties that I really want to get zeroed in on.
I didn't understand I was at that point inside the grounds until my driver had proactively stopped the van. When I escaped the room, I was in a split second pushed, and my back hit the entryway of my van from behind. What on God's green earth?
"I know you're the person who made it happen!" Chrissie's furious face invited me, and I'm as of now chuckling within as I perceived how enraged she is while she's actually got those wraps in front of her. She's additionally canvassed in her hoodie, which is absolutely inverse from what she used to be on the grounds that she's continuously wearing uncovering garments just to stand out, yet check her currently out. She levels has no cronies despite her good faith at this moment. It seems to be Luke truly made a reasonable plan about those fuckers.
"I don't have a clue," I said, acting so confounded.
"You're the person who set me up in that unwanted parking garage!" She said while her eyes have started to transform into red ones.
"Chrissie, I'm befuddled. Could you at any point let me know what's going on?" I serenely said, making an effort not to chuckle.
"Cut the bullshit, Adriana; we both know you did it," she said angrily.
I raised both of my hands and acted like I surrendered.
"I swear, I'm so busy doing so many things for my wedding that I clearly don't have any time for your sh*t, Chrissie. You know what? Whoever does that might be those people you thought were your allies," I said before I walked past her. She's still calling my name, but she can't keep up since one of her feet is injured too.
Serves her right.
…
My meeting with my professors was smooth, and they just gave me tips on how I should defend it for my last defense. On my way to the parking lot, I noticed that someone was looking at me from afar. I can sense movements, and when I'm about to look in the direction I'm suspecting, there's nothing at all.
I was expecting that it might be Chrissie who's trying to get revenge on me, so I just let it pass, but it just became clearer that someone's following me when I talked to Rylie for a second about her thesis, and that someone also stopped and panicked for a while about where to hide.
Gotcha.
I bait her to the parking garage, where I can corner her. She previously took a look from the fire exit since she utilized that rather than the lift, and I can obviously see her this time. She's Maureen, a schoolmate of mine that I used to menace as a result of her rotund appearance previously. She's not that fat any longer, so I disposed of her about a year prior, so the thing would she say she is doing this time?
I moved quickly behind one of the points of support from the parking garage, and when she passed by where I was stowing away, I got her by her collar.
"What is it that you need with me?" I said as I squeezed her shoulder against the wall.
She promptly cried in torment and said she was grieved.
"I'm just following you since I'm as of now left with no decision," she said vulnerably.
I delivered my hand, and she in a flash tumbled to the floor.
"Left with no decision with what?" I inquisitively inquired. She's a top understudy in my group, and having no way out isn't in her mentality, so the thing would she say she is doing this time?
"I'm attempting to talk with your sibling, Luke," she said as she provided me with an image of my sibling. I quickly frowned at her. Could it be said that she is one of my sibling's stalkers?
"Try not to get some unacceptable thought; it's only for a venture, and it seems like your sibling just discussions to you and his dearest companion Chowder, who's in every case mysteriously gone," she accounted for herself quickly as she saw me scowling.
She seems as though she's coming clean, so I in a flash concocted the thought.
"You're welcomed," I said, and she got confounded. "You're welcome to my wedding, and I'll let my sibling know that you'll be his date."
I saw an unexpected anxiety in her eyes, and she quickly prevented me from strolling.
"Do you imagine that is smart?" She asked timidly.
"Do you have a decent one at this moment?" I asked mockingly.
As she shook her head, I acknowledged that as rout, and she'll be going to my wedding with my sibling very much like I told her. I feel that would be fine to keep my sibling normal the entire evening of my wedding.
I began leaving her, and all I can hear from a remote place are her different expressions of gratitude for what I did. It's anything but some help for me in any case; it's simply my approval to her so somebody can watch insane sibling.
I quit pondering it when I saw Cooper previously hanging tight for me. I grinned a little, however I halted it when he glanced toward me. I strolled towards him, and he did again what he had done before: he kissed my brow. I don't have any idea where we are going, and all I can hear is that Cooper is attempting to settle a negotiation with an organization in Europe only for the development of his organization there. I felt pleased with him, and I couldn't resist the opportunity to hold his hand to let him know that I was glad for him.
Maybe that's the best thing I could do for now—support him whatever he does. He's also like that to me, anyway.
…
We have finally arrived at the shop where Jamaica told me to get my flowers customized. The design of the shop is pastel pink, and it's also like a Victorian-style house that has lots of flowers outside and even on the surrounding area or the doorway. We came inside, and I noticed that it's Mrs. LaCroix who owns this shop. I'm a bit confused at first as to how she managed to have this kind of business when, for all I know, she has a big chain of resorts outside the city. It's a big difference from what she got.
"What do you need, my dear?" She asked sweetly.
I told her the specific details about the flowers I want for my wedding, and she just smiled at me until I finished speaking. I'm a bit flustered and shy because she's staring at my face, and when she noticed that, she laughed.
"I'm sorry, I'm always used to your fierce look before when you would go around and meet with your brother in the office; that's why I'm a bit surprised that I see your softer side this time," she said, looking so amazed at me.
It's true, though. Even me I couldn't even understand why the sudden change of my outfit and make up nowadays. Before, I liked to dress up so edgy, and all of my clothes were either black, white, or gray. But now that I've moved in with Cooper, I finally get to dress in pastel colors whenever I'm just inside the house since those types of clothes were already in my room the moment I moved in.
Mrs. LaCroix told me to wait a while since she'll be taking down all the details about the artificial roses I need. While she was inside, I looked around her shop and found cute little daisies that are still blooming, next to which were those purple lilacs that smell really good. I touched both of them, and when I lowered my head, I saw Cooper on the other side of the aisle. He's also looking at some flowers, and I'm about to take a picture of him to make fun of him later on when he suddenly smiles as he smells those big sunflowers. He's like a model in a painting, and in the end, I just took a photo of him looking like that.
I guess I want to capture that moment...
When Mrs. LaCroix called my name, I went back to the front counter, and when I saw the flowers she had in her hand, I immediately smiled a bit. I told her that I want thousands of those on Saturday morning, and she told me that she'll make it as pretty as me.
I smiled at the thought, thinking there were still people who saw the beauty in me.
Maybe a few, but I know they're there.
Next to that shop, we just walked about five minutes and landed on a restaurant that will serve the buffet for our wedding. They invited me to have a taste test today so that I could tell them what they still needed to do.
We are already inside, and in front of me are different foods that I need to taste. Cooper is just watching me, and he told me that his pick will be based on what I choose anyway.
It's a good thing that there's only one food that my family didn't like from the menu that they gave me. For the rest of it, I told them that they could serve it to all of the guests.
I had a long day, and now that we are going home, I can't help but crave something, so I tapped Cooper's shoulder, who was already sleepy.
"What do you want?" he asked.
"Can we go to that restaurant one more time?" I asked pertaining to the restaurant with an overlooking view of the city.
He sighed a few times and nodded. I immediately told the driver the location of it when we came back; the restaurant seems like they have a full house. I looked around the aquariums displayed and pointed at the lobster that I wanted to taste again, while Cooper just got what he got last time, this king crab.
We are already seated at the table, but I noticed how tired Cooper's eyes were.
"What happened to you?" I asked with so much concern.
He looked at me, and he just shook his head. I felt his hands a while ago, so I can say that he's not having a fever, but as I noticed that he was folding his body and touching his stomach, I went to his side and pulled up his clothes.
I gasped as I saw the bloody rashes, and when he covered them up again, he looked at me.
"Can we get away from here?" I immediately nodded and carried half of his body weight. It's a good thing that our driver was just around the corner.
I didn't know what to do, and Cooper is just groaning in pain. I can't get him to a normal hospital since he'll not get the right medication there, so I am left with no choice.
"Can you drive us to their real house?" I seriously asked the driver. I bet he knows something about it, and I'm right, as he nodded at me right away.
The driver told me that it would take us an hour to get there, so I tried to stop the bleeding even though I didn't know where it was coming from. I'm already biting my lips, and I know there's also blood in my lips, as Cooper tried to wipe it earlier, but I can't just keep my hand away from his body, which is covered in blood now.
When the driver told me that we were almost there, I took off my shirt this time, leaving me with just my sports bra to cover the whole thing. As the van stopped, I told the driver to knock on their front door. And when I got outside of the van, an old mansion just like ours welcomed me.
Their mansion is much livelier than ours. They have almost the same design but without a cemetery on the side lawn, and the color of their mansion is much brighter than ours.
We stepped in the staircases up to the front door, where I saw a man standing so proudly in his white shirt tucked in his denim pants. His style is just the same as Cooper's. His features are just the same as Cooper's too, only more manly and strong.
Is he his father?
When we finally faced him, I spoke.
"He needs to get treated," I said, panting.
He first looked at the wound on Cooper's stomach, and his jaw clenched.
"Your husband has been poisoned."
Has it been what?
