Loving Little Miss Bloodsucker Chapter 31

Cooper's POV

Two years ago...

"This is for freshman year!" the head of the council shouted to those first-year business major students who looked so helpless while sticking their heads out to look for their designated tent based on their chosen programs.

"I bet this year will be full of hot babes around," Marcus cheered and even smiled mischievously to some first-year students that he had given flyers for our program.

"They are young for you, chief," I replied, and he just tapped me on the shoulders.

"I swear I'm going to hook up with someone, and this time it will be very serious," he said as he laughed so loudly.

Well, as for me, I'm only looking for someone that I need to observe every single day she attends this university. I've been sticking around and standing up here at the entrance of the auditorium just to wait for her to come.

It seems like she's running late for orientation. Not until I heard Marcus whistle like crazy. I looked at the direction in which he was looking, and I was right.

She's already here, wearing her usual all-black outfit while she lets down her pitch-black hair. She's with her cousin, and just by looking at her, I can already feel her energy. A kind of energy that needs to be controlled, or else it will only cause big chaos.

I didn't notice that Marcus had already approached her. I followed him to stop him from making an introduction to that woman, but I was too late.

"Hey, I'm Marcus, and I think you need help?" Marcus asked with a hint of his playful tone. Just then, she coldly looked at Marcus from head to toe.

I can clearly see how attractive and drowning her eyes are, but they're kind of empty, I guess.

"Do I look like I need one?" She coldly asked back.

Marcus just chuckled and even put a smile on his face.

"So you're a bit stiff, huh? Yeah, I can handle that," he said as he tried to touch her shoulder, but he only received a cold gesture.

The young lady walked inside the auditorium with his cousin and didn't even look back at us. Marcus was left with nothing but humiliation on his face. I tapped his shoulders and whispered at him.

"She's not stiff; she's a snob," I said as a matter of fact.

"That's exactly the kind of woman that I need in my life!" Marcus just ignored what I said. Well, that's his life, though.

The registration booth had already ended, and we all got inside the auditorium for the orientation of freshmen students. It's crowded here, but all I wanted to do was look for her. She might be somewhere in the middle or just in our row in the back if she doesn't want too many people around. But to my surprise, I saw her walking down with her arms crossed against her chest to the center front seat of the auditorium. Everyone's watching her as she looks coldly at the poor girls who've already taken the seat, but then they stand up just to let her sit.

That's powerful.

"Damn, I think I might get her number after this event," Marcus whispered in my ear from the back.

"Good luck with that," I said shortly.

The orientation started, and everyone's paying attention to all the rules and stuff that is being discussed by our dean. It's interesting to listen to all of it, but I can see most of the people are whispering from time to time and will eventually look at her. I tried to eavesdrop on the girls seated in front of me.

"I heard she's a vampire," a girl said worriedly.

"Her beauty is exceptional, so that might be possible," another girl added.

"I heard from someone that her family is filthy rich and even bought her an admission slot at this university."

That's a lie.

I've been observing her family from afar. Well, due to my research, she played fair and square in getting her ticket to this university. I even heard that her parents are against the thought of her studying alone in this city, so they also pushed their son to enter this school with a medical major. I kept looking at her, but as she turned her head sideways, I looked in a different direction.

She might sense me. I've been trying to tone down my scent to prevent this from happening, but it seems like she might sense me. I tried to take a glance at her, and she's not looking anymore.

Well, that's close.

The orientation ended, and they got out of the place right away. I was about to look for them, but I stopped when I saw Marcus already approaching her again, and she gave him a piece of paper before she left him. Marcus looks so happy, and when he saw me leaning on the door, he ran toward me. He looked so excited.

"Look what she gave me," he boastfully said.

I took a look at the piece of paper, and an address was written on it.

"She gave you her address," I said as a statement.

"Yes, and we'll meet tonight. Well, I'll probably get laid," he excitedly said before he walked away from me and bid his goodbye.

I just scoffed at the thought of it and made my way out of the school. I've got no idea where to find her, and I just don't trust the address she wrote. It might be a trap.

The next morning, I got up early and decided to jog around the university. I rented a place near the school just to lessen my minutes of traveling back and forth from the tower where I'm supposed to live.

I'm trying to have a calming morning, but a loud scream from somewhere got me to stop jogging. I followed where the students were heading, and they were all going to the open field near our gym.

As I got nearer, I saw a girl crying endlessly.

My eyebrows furrowed, and I tried to push myself into the crowd to get in front. I kind of regretted it, as I saw a man lying in his own blood. He has bruises and a bite mark on his arm and neck.

Only then do I notice a green band that's only available for business majors like me.

"Marcus Ombre is the name of the victim," I suddenly heard from a policeman. I paused for a second before I could even process what had just happened.

It's Marcus. He was very much alive yesterday, but he's now lying here.

A realization came to my mind.

Shit. He went there all alone at the address given to him.

I should have known this.

She killed him.
