Loving Little Miss Bloodsucker Chapter 36

Adi's POV

I can still feel a little sting whenever Luke cleans my wound on my head. This is the last wound that needs to heal after what happened to me. To be honest, I couldn't even remember how I ended up like this.

I couldn't remember a thing.

I just woke up one day in my bed back here in the mansion, and all I saw was how my mom looked so tired and restless while sleeping beside me. It looks like she's waiting for me to wake up that day.

They told me that I was in a coma for a month and a half, but I couldn't believe it at all. First of all, I'm a vampire, and my wounds are supposed to heal in an instant. But they told me that the damage to my body was severe and that they even have plans to take me into a big hospital to see what they can do to me.

"Just hold on for a second," he said while he was trying to take off the stitches on my forehead. It's beginning to heal, I guess. I noticed how Luke's face looked so mature that he already had a tiny mustache on his face.

While he was busy taking off the stitches, I took out my phone to see what was in fashion. Luke said that I have memory loss of some recent events that happened in my life, which is why I'm trying to figure out what's happening nowadays.

"Are you still trying to search for your name on the internet?" He asked nonchalantly.

"Well, I'm hoping that I'm still famous nowadays," I replied to him and continued to browse on my phone.

From what I recall, my memory stopped just when I was in my freshman year. That's the most recent memory I could recall by now, and I'm already hoping that something will come to mind soon. I don't want to force myself to remember everything, but I'm hoping that I could easily retrieve it since I still want to know what my current self feels like. Luke's helping me to remember together with her girlfriend, Maureen, but it will only end up in headaches and even a blackout if I push myself.

This is very draining.

"You're still popular, and obviously a lot of people are still hoping for your fast recovery," he said as he pointed out all the flowers and foods that have been delivered to our mansion while I'm still in a coma.

They told me that almost every day someone or a group of people will contact Luke, Maureen, or Riley just to send me gifts. I don't know if that's true, but since my room is full of fresh bouquets every day, I couldn't help but believe it anyway.

"Everyone's waiting for you," Maureen said in a calm way. She's the sweetest whenever she approaches me. This is another thing that I couldn't recall: how did they end up meeting each other? They don't have anything in common, and they don't even have the same schedule on campus. That's why I felt so confused when I woke up and saw them walking together while holding each other's hands.

"I have a question, by the way," I suddenly said as I put down my phone. Luke's already done with my stitches, and he just put on a bandage afterwards.

"What do you want to know this time?" He asked.

"Why do I have this kind of ring?" I pulled out of my pocket a silver ring with a minimal design all over its diamond. I found it in my walk-in closet when I tried to change my clothes on my own. I don't even know that I have this kind of ring; it's like a wedding ring, but it's very minimal among the others, and so I tried to think about who owned it and why it's in my closet.

Luke snatched the ring from my hand, and he immediately gave it to Maureen.

"It's a ring that I gave to her last month, and we thought we lost it," Luke said like he was in a rush.

"Why are you so defensive right now?" I asked curiously.

"No, I wasn't," he chuckled wryly. "It's just that I felt a relief as I saw that you found it already."

His movements are pretty awkward, but I just rolled my eyes and shrugged them off.

"Keep it in a safe place this time."

They both went out when they received a call that the dean of the university was looking for them. They left me all alone afterwards, and now I'm by myself while browsing social media.

It seems like I haven't had any interesting posts recently, and all the photos I uploaded were all about food and beautiful scenery. I was about to turn off my phone when a message came in. I opened it and read what was inside.

"I'm glad you didn't die the way I wanted you to die." I read it aloud.

Afterwards, I pushed the button beside my bed to call for some bodyguards, and when they came in, I immediately asked them to search for any strange man lurking around the mansion. I suddenly felt a terrifying feeling that someone was watching me from afar.

Maybe he's an enemy; we wouldn't know that for sure.

The afternoon came, and I was feeling much better. The bodyguards also reported to me that they didn't see any sign of life outside, and even from the neighboring town kilometers, they tried to look for a strange man but didn't find one. That was a relief for me, I guess.

Eventually, I asked mom if I could go outside with Jamaica, and she totally disagreed with the idea, but my cousin insisted on saying that she'd look after me if something happened, and so she eventually agreed.

As soon as we got outside, I felt the overwhelming fresh air from our front yard. I never thought that my stay in the mansion up to this day could give me such comfort since I also remember how much I hated this place ever since I was a child.

Actually, apart from this, I just wanted to figure out something that I couldn't bring up while I was inside the house.

Jamaica built the foldable seat for the both of us, and she shockingly prepared some snacks to eat. I didn't know that she could do all of this. As far as I remember, all she cares about is his boys and their big dicks.

"Drink this, Adi; it can help you to freshen your mind," she said as she gave me a freshly squeezed mixed fruit juice.

"Jam, I have something to ask, and I want you to be honest with me," I suddenly said in a stern voice just to get her full attention.

Honestly, everything seems so weird to me. Up until now, I still couldn't believe how they treated me. I'm not used to it, and I'm starting to get curious about the reason why I'm back in this mansion.

"You can ask me anything," she said while smiling at me.

"How did I end up like this?" I asked right away. Her smile faded, and she chuckled for a bit.

"What do you mean by that?" She asked once more.

Her body movements and facial expressions felt like she wanted to avoid the topic. She couldn't even look me directly in the eye now. It seems like she doesn't want to talk about it all. I lowered my head, as I also couldn't bear to see her struggling to say something.

But I want to know what happened to me.

I heard Jamaica let out a deep sigh and speak.

"If you want someone to ask about what happened, I'm not the one you're looking for," she said before she stood up and excused herself.

I'm left all alone now, and I can't help but continue to think about it. It bothers me even more now.

If my family won't tell me about it, then who will?
