Loving Little Miss Bloodsucker Chapter 41

Ysmael drove his car so fast that I even put my seatbelts on and held on to my seat. I don't know where we are going, but I think it's still best that he's here with me. Apparently, someone figured out that I got back to my apartment, and they immediately took that opportunity to get me, but Ysmael got there first.

"Can you tell me where we are going?" I asked because I can't recall the road we're taking anymore.

"I'm going to send you to a safe house," he said right away after I asked.

The roads are getting bumpy now, and I can clearly see the seaside on my right side. I'm starting to think that we'll move from this car to the yacht I just saw nearby. We stopped in front of a beach house, and when he got out of the car, I just followed him. He looked back and waited for me.

"I never told you to go outside of the car now," he said in his stern voice.

"Well, I didn't receive any clear instructions anyway," I answered.

We got inside the house, and a woman the same age as mine, I guess, welcomed us with her worried look. Well, the worrying is not for me, I think.

"You should have brought some of your men!" She almost yelled at Ysmael.

"Shaina, it's fine. We get her safely, and that's it," he said before he held my hand to pull me inside the house. I saw how that Shaina girl looked at how Ysmael reached for my hand. I might not see it for a longer time, but I can clearly tell one thing: she's a bit jealous.

We got inside the house, and two other people were already in the living room. One of them looks so much like Ysmael; he's just much older. Maybe this is his dad. The other one was a woman who looked so classy in her all-black outfit. She looked a bit young, too.

"This is my dad, and this is Meghan Ysabel, my younger sister," he introduced to me.

"Good day to all," I said before I sat down on one of the single couches.

As I sat down, I saw how Ysmael signaled Meghan. She then eventually sat beside me and tried to hold my hand. I just let her do it as she gently held my hand like it was very fragile. She closed her eyes, and suddenly her eyebrows furrowed, and she even flinched beside me. Her expression went totally devastated, looking like she was about to cry. I tried to hold her hand too.

What is happening?

I looked at Ysmael, who was watching me closely. I'm trying to get help from him, but minutes later, my attention went directly to Meghan as she suddenly screamed like she was hurt or something. I began to panic, yet I don't know what to do. Her grip on my hand is so tight that she could almost crash into it.

"Calm down," Ysmael said. "She's just trying to recall what happened to you."

My lips parted as I realized what was happening. They are trying to retrieve my memory by making her go back and look deep inside my thoughts. The process is not affecting me at all, but I can feel the gradual energy she's getting from my body. I'm starting to get tired and sleepy as she continues to absorb every memory she's trying to find.

"Stop..." I said weakly as I began to lose my energy.

I saw how Ysmael quickly moved to separate me from her sister. As Meghan let go of my hand, I felt like I was falling, but he was there, and he caught me at the right time. I gasped for air and even held my chest, as I could feel it tightening.

"Just take a deep breath," he whispered in my ear while he was kneeling in front of me. He hugged me and gently caressed my back. I rested my head on his shoulders as I tried to breathe.

Moments later, we can both hear how her sister cried. I can't seem to understand what she's saying as my eyes get heavy.

"I want to sleep," I whispered.

"Let me carry you to our room," he said, and he swiftly lifted me like a bridal carry, and I just then rested my head on his chest.

I'll rest for now, but I'm going to hope that everything will be fine once I wake up.

As I woke up, my head hurt like hell. It feels like it's about to crack. I heard my phone vibrate, and when I tried to reach for it, I was bombarded by Luke's thirty-nine messages. At first, he was just concerned about how rude I am that I left him all alone in my apartment and how he complained that I was gone for long hours now, but as I read the last two messages, I think he already knew what was happening.

"Don't get hurt; stay safe." I read it aloud.

I tried to stand up to get myself a cup of water. I'm able to get out of the room quietly, but as I approached the living room, I could hear people talking about something.

"Are you saying her family did that to her?" A woman asked.

"I can clearly see it; I can hear them talking about it just for her own sake!" Another woman's voice responded.

"That's absurd and ruthless!"

Maybe it's Shaina and Meghan who're talking. They kept talking about something, but when they noticed that I went out of the room, they stopped.

"You should have told us if you wanted to come out of the room." Meghan approached me right away.

"It's fine; I can handle it," I said, slightly smiling at her.

I went to the kitchen area, which is just open and connected to the living room. I took a glass of cold water out of the refrigerator and helped myself to a drink of water. I need to regain as much energy as possible.

"Do you still feel weak or tired?" Meghan tried to get close to me again, but something felt so wrong.

Just then, a group of people wearing black coverups appeared out of nowhere. I pulled Meghan to stand behind my back, and Shaina walked towards us.

"Where's Ysmael?" I whispered.

"They went outside when one of their men said that someone was wandering around just meters away from here," Shaina answered, and I just cursed afterwards.

My sharp nails came out already, and I also tried to let out my fang too. The men in black are trying to corner us in the kitchen.

Shit.

They were tricked.

"This is a trap."
