Bella walked nervously with a steaming cup of coffee, Brittany had told her that the owner of the company was Nikolai Klaus, does it mean that she would see the mysterious king of the underworld today, would he be as handsome as Brittany had imagined? For some reason, she was eager to see the infamous Nikolai Klaus.
Unknown to her, the rope at the back of her dress was slowly getting loosed as she innocently walked towards the office she was told was the president's office.
Her stomach tightened in nervousness as she knocked on the door once, she heard "come in" from the other end and opened the door to see her husband standing by the window and going through a piece of paper in his hands.
"Daniel, what are you doing here?" She asked in confusion but the door suddenly opened and another male entered the office. She was so startled by the unexpected appearance that the steaming coffee slipped from her hands and poured right on the man. He hissed in pain as hot coffee scalded his hand
"What the hell? Who the fuck are you?" He asked in anger and his eyes widened when he glanced at her
"I'm so sorry sir, I didn't mean to do that?" Just as she bent to dab drinks from the man's body, her clothes snapped and came off
"What the hell are you doing?" Daniel asked furiously, "Did you come here with the intention of seducing my boss? This man is my superior at work and it's most embarrassing that my wife came here just to seduce him"
Bella's eyes watered at his accusation and she was feeling so embarrassed already, how did her dress come off? She noticed that Daniel's superior had politely turned his face away
"I'll come back" he murmured and left the office, he's such a gentleman and didn't even get angry at her for pouring hot coffee on him
"Did you come here just to embarrass me?" Daniel asked shaking her furiously
"Let go of me, I didn't even know you worked here"
"Oh yeah? And you're so disappointed because I caught you trying to make my boss fall for you"
Bella slapped him hard on the cheek, "I could put up with everything but not with you trying to slut-shame me"
Daniel grabbed her and kissed her so hard that he drew blood, she fought against him and tears ran down her cheeks
"There, if that's what you're hungry for, I am man enough to give it to you"
Pushing away from him, she turned to run off from the office but Daniel dragged her back, "you cannot get out half-clad like that, dress up" he commanded and left her to go and stand where he was standing when she first entered the office.
Bella sniffed as she slowly dressed up, "I didn't know how this came off, I knew I had worn it correctly and tightly before leaving the house" She sniffed again as she watched his stiffened shoulders, she was hurt by his harsh words but she didn't mean to embarrass him in front of his boss. 'his boss' her eyes widened at the possibility
"Was that Nikolai Klaus?" She asked she can't believe that she had just poured Nikolai Klaus hot coffee and almost went naked in front of him
Daniel scoffed at her, "Were you thinking that he was Nikolai Klaus? Was that why you removed your dress? For him to see you?"
"I didn't know how that dress came off but I didn't plan anything"
"Nikolai Klaus is the owner of this company, he didn't come in today, the person you poured Coffee on is Aaron, Nikolai Klaus's right-hand man and he informs Nikolai Klaus of everything that happens in this company and now he is going to inform him of how dreadfully my wife behaved today and they might fire me"
Bella's eyes widened at the possibility, she didn't know that her husband worked in such a big company but she didn't want him fired. It again proves that he is not the broke ass like the rumors had said but he is definitely a jerk. He had told her countless times that he earns enough to take care of his wife but she didn't believe him, he is not a billionaire but he is definitely not a pauper either and she won't let him be without a job because of her mistake.
"I... I'll apologize to your boss so he won't fire you, I'll...."
"No need, I'll fix it" he cuts her off, now go back to your duty post before Mr Aaron gets angry. That is if he doesn't fire you after what you just displayed"
Bella's heart tightened, she had worked so hard to be on this job, and losing it now all because of a silly mistake would be a hard blow to her, she needed the money so badly as she planned to one day finish her college, "I hope he doesn't fire me"
"You still want to work here after what you just did?" Daniel scoffed, more surprised that she would still want to work in the office where she had had such an embarrassing moment
"Of course I still want to work, I have to save up so that I can finish my college" Daniel's eyes were unreadable as he stared briefly at her
"I wish you luck with the boss," he said with a note she couldn't quite decipher in his tone and she offered him a small smile
"Thank you. I hope that you don't get fired also because of my mistake"
"Let's hope so" he replied and she turned and left the office.
Keisha saw the troubled look on her face the moment she came down to her desk, Bella didn't say a word and quietly sat on her seat, Keisha was elated to see her puffy eyes, proof that she had been crying, was she fired already?
"You sure took your time with the boss, did something happen?" She asked, feigning innocence
"I'm fine, nothing happened, just feeling a bit of a headache" Bella replied and Keisha smirked
"Lazy bum" she hissed before sashaying away into her office.

"Boss," Aaron said as he entered the office as soon as he saw Bella leave. The boss' wife had caused so much trouble and had also put him in so much trouble with his boss because he will have to deal with his boss foul mood
"How's your hand?" Daniel asked in concern and Aaron's lips curved a little as he stared at his scaled hand
"It doesn't hurt anymore boss" he lied, still feeling the sting
"Apply soothing balm on it". Daniel replied and paused and then the hurricane came "Why the hell was I not informed that my wife works here?" He fumed and glared at Aaron
"I'm sorry boss, the list of new employees was dropped on my desk this morning but I haven't gone through it, I was just about to go through it when you came"
Daniel humphed and scratched his chest in agitation
"Should I fire her boss?"
Daniel thought for a moment, her desperate looks when she had stated how she needed the job and had prayed that he wouldn't get fired
"For now, she thinks that you're my superior and direct right hand to Nikolai Klaus, we'll leave it at that but there's one thing you'll do"
"What is it, boss?"
"Bring up an excuse but give her money to get her college form, she can work part-time here but give her enough time to attend her classes"
"Yes boss"
"One more thing," Daniel said and glared at him, "I don't want to see her serving coffee or whatsoever to you or anyone, she's not your servant"
"Yes boss, I'll make sure of that" Aaron replied
"Lastly, make sure you get the image of her clothes falling off from your memory"
Aaron swallowed and his cheeks flushed as he nodded, without another word, Daniel went out of the office, passing through the secret door that was built specially for this purpose.
