Bella was surprised when she was told to go home by her boss. She had seen the stares of other workers when she was called to go to the boss's office and she felt a bit awkward and fearful that she might have done something but she was told to go home and get a file that her husband didn't bring to the office, the boss had told her that he had called Daniel countless times to ask for the file but he wasn't answering his calls so she had to go home and get it but just when she was about to enter the house, he called her again to apologize that he file he was looking for was actually in the office and that he was sorry for any inconvenience. He had asked her to take the day off instead.
Bella sighed as she entered the house, she would use the opportunity to go and collect her college form. She went straight to her room and entered the shower, after scrubbing her body with soap, she turned on the shower but to her shock, the shower only trickled and stopped working
"What the..." She was dismayed as she stared at her soap-filled body, "thank God Daniel wasn't home, she'll quickly use his shower before he comes back"
She quickly walked towards his room and peeked inside, she was relieved to see it empty and was more glad to see his shower running.
She quickly showered and slid out of the bathroom, on entering the room she screamed in shock at the sight of him seated on the bed. He glared at her and slowly stood up from his sitting position
"I didn't know you were home" she managed weakly as she tried to hold onto her loose towel which she had tied with the mindset that she was alone in the house.
Going close to her, he ripped the towel off her and she covered her breast with her arms, "what are you doing?" She croaked
"What were you doing in my shower and coming into my room almost unclad, wasn't this what you wanted?" He remarked
"No...my shower stopped running and I decided to use yours" she replied and bent down to pick up her towel which he had flung away but he stopped her by placing both arms above her head. Pain flashed in his eyes but Bella's mind was all on how to cover herself so she really didn't think much of it.
"What are you so afraid of?" He asked softly and played with a tendril of her hair.
"I'm not afraid of anything, I just want to go to my room" Bella replied, afraid that he would hear her heart pounding furiously in her chest. Why does his closeness affect her so? Her breath came out almost ragged and she felt heat pooled between her thighs, she had to get away from him before he noticed and she'd make a fool out of herself.
"We're married, after all, we might as well enjoy each other while it lasts" he stated and kissed her firmly.
Bella made an involuntary sound at the back of her throat, his lips were soft and firm at the same time and she found herself needing more, she felt helpless as she shamelessly stood naked in front of her husband and returned his kisses.
"I love your scent" he whispered and ran his hands softly over her body, "I love your hair," he remarked as he twined it between his fingers.
Her hair wasn't always blond, she wasn't born blind, she had changed and cut it with scissors and also sprayed it when Jeremy had betrayed her and since then, she had vowed never to fall for any man's trap again.
She stilled and pushed against him, she heard him hiss in pain as he let her go
"What's it?"
"As you said, our marriage is only on papers, I don't want it complicated"
"I don't want it complicated either, we can simply enjoy a no-strings-attached relationship right?"
Bella felt hurt by his words, all he wanted was a toy for the duration of their marriage, just a toy to kill his boredom
"I'm sorry mister but I am not interested in you and your no strings attached relationship, you can shove it"
Pushing away from him, she picked up her towel and ran to her room. "Men are all the same, they only need girls who can be their toys and when they're through with playing with their toys, they simply dump them to look for a new one, she must never trust a man's word. Never.

Daniel fell on his bed with a groan, what the hell went wrong? He stared at the bulge in his trouser and grimace, he wondered what possessed him to suddenly start behaving like a dog in heat around Bella.
While waiting for her, he had tied his injury with a piece of cloth to stop the blood flow but he still needed the first aid and instead of asking about it, he started having sexual thoughts about her the moment he saw her coming out from his bathroom with just a piece of towel tied around her. He felt instant arousal and had acted on it that he completely forgot the reason why he had asked Aaron to send her back home.
Henceforth, he will avoid her at all costs because losing his sense over a woman isn't part of his plan, the only woman who will ever have a place in his life is his mother and right now, avenging her is his priority.

When Daniel came downstairs in the evening to eat his dinner, he met her already seated and devouring her meal. The air between them grew tense and the silence in the room was awkward as they both tried to avoid each other's gaze by all means.
He turned to head back to his room but stopped suddenly "I need the first aid kit"
Bella frowned at his request, was he injured? Her gaze roamed over him as she went to where she had placed the first aid box after she had cleaned the kitchen and brought it out to him
"Are you injured? She asked and gasped when she saw the bruises on his knuckles, "let me have a look" she said and grabbed his hands but he flung them away
"Don't touch me" he clenched out and snatched the first aid box from her hands, "And don't move things when you're not asked to" he stomped right back into his room and Bella sighed as she resumed her eating.

[Country side]
"A police team came here to ask about Bella, what has your niece done this time?"
Bella's aunty paled as her husband gave her the news, "Why will the police be looking for Bella?"
"Why don't you tell me? Have you heard from her?"
Bella's aunty shook her head, she was fearful for her niece's sake, Bella hadn't had an easy life and she hoped that her friend would help her niece
"You better not be lying to me" Ben warned, "because the moment I know her location, I'll tell the police where she is"
"No, you can't do that, have mercy on the poor girl, you've never treated her well, just allow her to be where ever she is right now"
Ben pushed his wife away from him, "if you want to take your niece's side, then you'll have to leave my house" he threatened and stormed off.
Leticia, I'll need to call my friend to ask her about Bella, she thought but she was too scared to do it right now, scared that Ben might find out about it, she has done Bella a lot of harm, first by keeping mute about her parents murderer and making her believe that it was an accident, no, it better that she doesn't call Bella ever again and hope she lives a good life wherever she is right now.
