Blair was on a date with Fredrick Stone at a popular restaurant in the city of Atlantica, and people kept giving them the knowing look.
What could they possibly be looking at? She shouldn't be surprised, if they are already calling her names and gossiping about her.
She shouldn't be too surprised, that they think that she must have something to do with Jayden's disappearance.
It is her town, she knows them so well, so as they were giving her the look, she only smiles and waved at a few.
"They must be wondering what I am doing here with you, dressed like this". She expressed to him, and he also smiles, affirming that the City, though big, but still small, that everybody knows everybody.
Some were even bold enough to walk up to her, bringing up an old tale to her. If she was actually heart broken, would they have wished for her to rot in her room? She shook her head that some were even happy that she stopped coming out.
"Miss Fire, you are out, and you decided to come out looking this good? One was bold enough to say, and she didn't know what to do, but to just wonder, how crazy the world have really turned.
She wanted to get back at the unknown face immediately.
"Would you have wanted me to remain in my house? She asked the woman, still with a sinister smile on her face.
"No that is not what I mean, I am just saying, coming out, after staying indoors all this while, with his best friend, Its somehow". Fredrick was furious, and he just had to give her a warning look, before she bowed her head, and left.
The both of them bursted out laughing, that she had to confess, that coming out, was really what she needed.
"Thank you, I haven't laughed like this in a long while". He nodded in agreement.
"I miss him, we were like brothers, he was the brother I never had, and I just cannot believe that he is now a wolf and a wizard like you said. Those things are dangerous, you need to watch out for it, they are really dangerous, just as you have said that you wouldn't want to go back there, please, you really need to break every bond, that you share with him, you have to break it, and move on". She nodded her head, but she did not expect what he said after.
You know? You can move on with me". She looked up shocked that he would even suggest such a thing.
"Move on with you? What are you saying? She was clearly not expecting such a word from him.
"I know how this sounds, but the truth is that, I have wanted you all those years, just that Jayden was involved, and knowing that Jayden loves you too, I couldn't tell you or even him what I actually feel". Blair didn't want to be rude, but she raised her hand to stop him half way.
"Please Fred, don't say such a thing. You are a nice person, and you deserve someone who would love you completely, not someone who would use you as a rebound".
"I don't mind, I think this is what Jayden would have wanted, to see you happy, with someone else".
"I am sorry, but I cannot ". She was about to get up and leave, when she heard her name, it was her best friend Brittany, she sat down back, and glared angrily at her. She disappeared on her wedding day, just the same way Jayden did, and here she is, smiling like nothing happened.
Frederick use to like her before, but here he is, telling her that it has always been her, she waited to see him react to seeing her, but he didn't even act like he knew her.
When Brittany saw that she wasn't laughing, she immediately joined her hands together, for she had been trying to reach her since the wedding, but she was too angry with her.
"You know I couldn't leave just like that, I didn't want to, but I had no choice". This time, Blair got up, hitting the table in anger, making part of the drink in the cup, pour on Fredrick.
"What could be more important that you had to leave the way you did.
You were supposed to be standing behind me, and you just left.
It felt like you just stayed to see me in pain".
"Oh no! Please don't say a thing like that, I started calling the next day, but you wouldn't take my call". She defended.
"How will I take your call huh? When you left me standing, when I needed you the most".
"Alright Blair, you are right, but at least, just hear me out first".
"Spill. What do you have to say?
"I got accepted through that Scholarship program, Jayden and I were working on, and he also got accepted too, but I guess, he never got the chance to go through his mail.
I wanted to tell you, because the message came on the eve of your wedding, but we were just too busy planning so much, I didn't want to drop it on you like that. And they told me that since mine was a different program, I would have to come the very next day, which was your wedding. I was going to tell you, but I couldn't share such good news, when you were clearly sad.
I stayed, we both waited for hours for Jayden, and I only sneaked out, when others left. The plan was that I would come back the next day, but then, they had another exam for us. I called, but you never took your call, I called Jayden, but the number was unavailable, until I came back". This time Blair had to get up from her seat, she was clearly happy, that she got accepted, it would mean a lot to her family.
"You mean, you got accepted into Oklahoma for that scholarship program for entrepreneurs? She nodded her head, for she could see that all the anger, her friend held against her, had suddenly disappeared.
Come here". She opened her arms, and Brittany rushed in side.
I am so happy for you, why didn't you tell me, when you got the call, we have been praying for it, for I know how much you wanted it.
"I wanted to, but it was your day we were planning, I didn't want to just distract you yet, but I had it in mind that after your wedding, and you are about to leave with him, I was going to tell you, but that never happened". She paused, to look at Blair's eyes. She could see that she was trying so hard to be strong. She have been thinking a lot, how could she really leave her world, to be in a kingdom she knows nothing about?
Do you wanna talk about it? She asked again, and that was when Blair looked up at her and nodded.
I just wanna go home! She says, looking at Frederick, but Brittany wasn't ready to just leave her just yet, so she asked.
"Can I come too". Blair shrugged her shoulder, as the three left the restaurant.
The drive to her house was a very silent one, but when they got to her house, there were people in the house, and there was fire everywhere.
Her house was burning, and her mother is in the house.
Blair fell down, and fainted.
