He discovered that Shadon, the dark sorcerer was actually, was actually killing all his siblings, just to possess their magic, so as to be called the most powerful of all.
My father thought that the act was wrong, so he reported him, but he only got furious, saying that they were jealous of him, because of his powers.
He fought with my father, for reporting him, and that was when his case was decided on, he was banished from the pack, but instead of going, he disguised himself, and came back to the pack as another person, as he continued killing to get their powers, he started targeting the sorcerer's, and that was when my father, again, went far into the land of the dead, to find out what was killing his people mysterious, he discovered that Shadon came back to the pack as another person, he was then captured and killed, but we didn't believe that someone that powerful could just die like that, so what we did was to burn him up and packed his ashes, as the remnants of his family, his only daughter fabro came to get his ashes, but we never knew that was a mistake, we never should have done that.
Barthur realized that a royal blood can bring Shadon back to life, so he went to Fabro and demanded for the ashes of her father. She showed him where they are, as he promised to help her being her father back, but even Fabro didn't know she was making a great mistake.
Barthur had already, spiritual visited Shadon, and that was, was the only way to bring him back to life.
He performed an old custom of bringing the dead back to life, for his own selfish interest. He just wants to be more powerful than Arthur his brother.

Sodom concluded his story and the crowd cheered. They seem to have heard that story like a million times, but for Jayden, it was scary, he just realized, that he is up against a very strong beast, and to think that their enemy is his uncle.
He wanted to ask about his uncle, but he didn't think everything should be asked at the gathering, he should ask his father that in person, maybe they really should have that father and son discussion.

If that was supposed to console him, it didn't work that way, because he is not consoled at all, he haven't had any reason to feel scared all his life, but for the first time, he feels he may not be able to handle what he will see, when he gets to the war front.
