The king have never showed so much emotions outside before, not even when Marinara have been turned to stone, but with the lifeless Blair in his hands, he cried, as he gently carried her by the hand. Sodom was summoned immediately, to see if there was anything he could do.
When Sodom got to the palace, he sniffed and kept sniffing, saying he smells evil, that their town have been corrupted, and that if that person is discovered, that she or he, will be banished for life, that was the only punishment suitable to cleanse the evil done on the land.
Tangy didn't know if she was supposed to cry, or just look straight. No one was looking at her, instead, all the murmuring was addressed to Astra.
"This is why no one should ever be mated to three, no one likes to share". One said and another added.
"I think the witches that have joined us are responsible for this.
First our Queen have been turned to stone, and the witch Mogana is still around, roaming the area, as if she is the Queen, now the human too have been mysteriously killed, maybe our Tangy will be next? another added.
"The king was warned about this in the first place. They know she is just a human, with no power and that is why they have killed her". The murmuring didn't stop. Tangy stared at Blair, with her eyes closed , she still looked very pretty, even in her dead form. Was she happy that she is dead? She couldn't quite answer that, she doesn't even know, if she should be happy about the turn of event, but she knows deep within her, that she may never be able to get away with what just happened.
The king wiped his tears, to address the pack, that have been summoned.
"This is a very trying time for us all, we all need to be careful, and protect our lives ones. All these years, we have hated the humans, but since my son brought this human, I have come to realize that, I should never generalize the fault of one person , to mean that every other person is like that.
Since My Luna, Your Queen, turned to stone, of which I am hoping, she would come back to life for me, there have been only one thing that have been keeping me going, and that is Blair. She has a persistent spirit, and she will never take a no for an answer. She forces me to eat, and ensure I am well. She brought the medicine man to check on me, but I never knew that would be the last I would see of her. Why am I saying all this, let us all. e careful and take care of those who matters to us. Have a nice day all". With that he dismissed them and they all dispersed, excluding Sodom, Luther and the medicine man, who was yet to finish what he came for.
Arthur called the inhabitants of the palace again, and started to question them one after the other.
"Can someone tell me what happened to Blair? Tangy was the first to start.
"I saw her when the bell went off for dinner, she said she wanted to go and take a bath, that she was feeling hot, but I never knew she was going to the river, when we have a bathroom with a bathtub, big enough for her to swim in".
"She didn't even take her food". Astra added, and one of the maid, who had seen her eat with the others, looked shocked at the lie that was told, but she dare not say otherwise.
"Does any other person have something else to say? Arthur asked again, but they were all dead silence.
She won't be buried till Jayden returns, but woe to that person, that did this, for it would have been better if the person gets a banishment, but I want to promise, that such a person, won't be blessed with the mild punishment of banishment. He or she will undergo torture upon torture, that he or she will beg for death to come". Arthur says and walked away, back into the room where he had kept Blair.
Sodom followed him, and checked her. She was placed in a glass incubator, wide and long enough for her size, her beauty might start to fade soon after a week or so, but they were hoping to keep her fresh till Jayden returns.
The Maiden gossiped with the others, saying they suspect Astra, and that they should let the king know about their suspicions.
Sodom tried looking into how her death occured, but he could see nothing, which was strange, it was more like someone was trying very much to keep the act hidden.
"The witches should leave this kingdom, especially Mogana, she needs to leave". Sodom says, to which Luther was quick to agree to.
"I have tried to send her away nicely, but she is making it seem as though I am banishing her and her people again for the second time.
"But she is bringing evil to our land". Luther added.
"We don't know for sure if she was the one that caused the death of Blair, for all we know, one of the mated ladies could have done this to her. You know he is quite fond of the human, and the rest are really jealous of her. I believe we should check Tangy and Astra, one of them, should know what happened to her". Arthur says.
"Are you really saying that our own person Tangy could do this? She is the daughter of the soil, she has exhibited great discipline all through his stay here, she can never do a thing like this. Maybe the Witch Astra, but not Tangy ". Luther added.
"Jayden would be so disappointed in me, he begged me before leaving, he begged me to look after her, I was supposed to watch her every move, but I got carried away by the plan to bring every one back, that I didn't watch her even for once". Sodom beat himself up.
"Don't blame yourself too much, we will find the person or persons, that did this to her". Arthur promised.
He sat by the glass tomb watching her, till every one started leaving one after the other.
He had tried to be very strong in their presence, but as soon as they were all gone, he broke down into a loud roar of tear, asking.
"Why?Why, why? He was feeling so helpless, he has never felt so useless before. It felt like his kingdom have been polluted with evil, he needed to stop mourning, and fish out all the evil beings in his kingdom, before the cause more harm.
