Chapter 17.
Kyle's stance.
"Look here, Kate. I know I was at fault. Can you please forgive me?" I said calmly. "I am still trying to figure out what came over me that day that made me act the way I did with you. I’m so sorry,"
I kept apologizing to her, but she didn't listen. She didn’t even bother to look at me. This was unlike her. Her cold attitude was hurting me like daggers jabbed Into my heart.
"Please forgive me, Kyle,"
"Please, stop apologizing. You are not at fault," she enunciated, "and I don't blame you for what happened. All I'm saying is, let's just forget everything that happened between us that night,"
"Sure, but –"
"The girl you made out with that night wasn't me. I would bever be that way with you. I just was not in my right senses, Kyle, and yeah, let's stop being friends. I think that's what gonna be best for the both of us,"
"Okay, I understand and respect your wish," I muttered sadly, looking so disappointed. I was so sad that she wanted to stop being my friend. I was still talking to her when my girlfriend walked up to us.
"What do you think you are doing?" She demanded an answer from Kate. "Why are you still talking to my boyfriend, you man-snatcher?" Tina raised her voice, attracting the attention of a lot of students. "Did you think I have forgotten about your shameless act? You forced yourself on him. You kissed my boyfriend, bitch,"
"Enough, Tina, will you stop all this?" I yelled at her. "Stop, or I'm gonna make you stop, and I promise you, it won't be fun,"
"How dare you, Kyle? What are you talking about?" she wailed. "Are you siding with this bitch? Don't tell me you enjoyed her kiss?" Everyone was staring strangely at me as Tina said that.
"Tina, that's enough,"
"No, it's not," She snapped. "It's far from being enough. Why? Do you think I've forgiven you as well, you cheap cheater?" I still don’t know what she used to charm you,"
"I think you figured it out," Miranda said, involving herself in the drama. "I know Kyle too well. He won’t be easily attracted to this slut. She must have done something evil to snatch him from you. You're sexy, beautiful, and even if you're not quite the bookworm, you're still damn hot. And I bet Kyle won’t dump your ass for someone like her,"
"Can you stop all this shit you are talking about?" I uttered. "Tina, when did I tell you that she forced herself on me? Did I ever tell you that?"
"Stop lying, Kyle. Stop trying to cover up for her. I see everything," she replied. "There’s no need in covering up for her. She’s a slut that wants to fill her hole with your shaft, and I won't allow her to snatch you from me. Never!"
"You got everything wrong, Tina. She never forced herself on me. I kissed her first,"
I could hear the gasp from the crowd. Tina's eyes went wider. She never expected what she just heard from me.
"I have always had a crush on her, and I always wanted to have her. She’s beautiful, and she's also my type. So please, I just want you to stop saying bad things about her. She’s innocent, and it hurts me to see her in pain,"
I was shocked by what I just said. Why was this coming from me? Something was making me say all these words. These are words I intended to bury forever in my heart, but I felt good after saying how I really felt about Kate.
"What about me?" Tina whispered. "What about us? Why did you do that? Are you saying all this just to cover this bitch here?"
"I just warned you to stop hurting her with your nasty words, right?" I grabbed her cheek. "Don’t push me to do what I don't want to do. Don’t make me break my promise of never laying a hand on a woman, Tina. Stay the fuck away from Kate, or else I’m gonna make your life a living hell. I will make you regret ever wanting to hurt her,"
"I'm sorry about this, Kate," I stated, turning to Kate, who just stood speechless.
I wished she was going to forgive me and accept me as her friend again, but what she said next baffled me.
"You don’t have to stand up for me," she declared, "and there's no need for you to apologize. She did nothing wrong. I am the one at fault,"
Cassie hollered. "What the hell is wrong with you, Kyle? I can't believe you can treat your girlfriend like this after everything you did, and she still chooses to forgive you. Is she not your girlfriend? What did this bitch give you that makes you stand up for her even when you know she is the guilty one?
In the blink of an eye, she launched an attack on Kate. It’s too late to stop her. I was worried but shocked at what Kate did.
"Do you all think I am a pushover?" Kate inquired. "Just because I never said a word does not mean you can all bully me the way you want. She grabbed Cassie's neck. "Did I kiss your boyfriend?"
"No! No, you didn’t," Cassie spoke out of fear.
Everyone was surprised. My eyes shone with tenderness and shimmered with happiness. Why did I feel attracted to her even more?
"Please let me go," Cassie pleaded.
This is the first time I've seen the haughty Cassie beg. She’s begging for her life. Nobody wants to die, I suppose.
"Oh, why are you terrified?" She asked, clenching her neck tightly. "Why are you trying to pick a fight with someone you can’t afford to denigrate?"
"What do you think you are doing, Kate?" Tina roared. "Let go of Cassie now. You are the one at fault here. You kissed someone you should not have kissed, and now you are picking on us because we exposed your true color as a bitch. I thought you were just a slut. I never knew you were this shameless,"
With her hand still wrapped around Cassie's neck, she turned around and faced Tina.
Kate scowled before speaking, "We both know you never loved him. You are just after his money. You love him the most when he buys you expensive jewels and clothes. Stop trying to be a saint, you rotten vicious slut,"
Wow! What a slap in her face! I love the way she dealt with them. I have to ask her to let go of Cassie before she chokes her to death. She will be arrested if she kills her.
"Kate, I want you to calm down. Can you let her go for my sake?" I whispered gently. "Please,"
"There is no need to beg me to let her go," she said, "I know she’s your girlfriend's best friend, and you don't want me to hurt them,"
She threw Cassie on the floor. Oh my god. She got me wrong again. I was only looking out for her, and now I have been misunderstood. She’s going to hate me more. These people are to be blamed. This misunderstanding between us keeps getting deeper.
"Please wait, Kate," I ran after her. I must clear up this issue. I don’t want to totally lose my friend. I can’t afford to lose her.
"Kate, please wait,"
I kept calling after her, but she never responded. No matter how I ran after her, I couldn’t seem to meet her. She sure knows how to walk fast. Why did I not notice this about her? I was still thinking when Tina walked up to me. Oh no, not this again.
What was she looking for? What did she want from me? She better have something good to tell me, or else I will make her regret hurting my beloved. She and her friends make my situation worse.
"Kyle baby," she purred, and she began to flirt with me. She began to rub my chest. I hate her touch. She makes me want to vomit.
Ever since I touched Kate, another woman's touch now irritates me. I began to hate Tina, and her touch disgusted me now.
"What do you want?" I shouted before yanking and pushing her away. "Stay far away from me, bitch. You made her hate me more. I fucking hate you."
