Chapter 22
- Katharina Point of view -
I woke up in feeling that someone’s holding my hand. By the sparks coming from it, I know that it's Zeus. I slowly open my eyes and scan the room. The wall was painted in white. I'm in the hospital.
I look at my mate who is peacefully sleeping beside me. He has black under his eyes and he look pale. I slowly pulled my hand off his grip but he suddenly wake-up.
"Kath?" He sounds relief seeing me moving.
"C-Can I have water please." I said with a sore throat. He gave me water and help me to bring it to my mouth.
"How's your feeling? Do you feel something? Are you hurt?" He asked looking so worried yet so damn handsome.
I touch his face and slowly pull him in a hug. I'm happy seeing him like this. He cares about me. Something inside me want to be taking care of, the feeling of someone caring for me is the best feeling ever.
"Why Kath? Is there any problem? Do you want me to call the healer to check you?" He said, hugging me back and kissing my forehead.
"I'm fine, let's just stay like this for a while." I said.
"Thank you." He said.
"For what?"
"For saving me back there, but next time, try not to get killed." He said half laughing.
"But I'm still alive." But I feel something changed "but it's strange, I feel something different in my body."
"Maybe that's because I give you some of my blood." He said.
"What? You give me your blood?"
"Yes, the healer asked for it, for your fast recovery." He proudly said.
I think he likes it, that He gave something for me. Thanks to that blood I feel strong and healed right now. Pure blood royals heals faster than other wolves. Its a traits that has been passed through generations.
"Kath?"
Zeus pulled away and I saw my Dad and brother standing near the door.
"Dad? Sam? What are you two doing here?"
Dad run to me and cage me with his arms.
"Zeus told me about what happened here. How are you? Are you feeling better now?" Dad.
"I'm okay now Dad, who's looking after the pack if you and Sam are here?" I said looking to the both of them.
"Don't worry about it I let Mark take charge for a while. We'll be back today." He said.
I look at my brother and he smiled at me.
"Wait how long I am here?"
"You are out for two days, don't worry your birthday will be in two days from now. Just rest." My brother.
"That's cool, I'm going to see my friends and I will meet your Mate." I said, smiling to him.
"Yes, little kitten." Brother said.
We keep talking and exchanging information about the palace and my former pack. My Dad decided to discuss about the attack and why is there a building union of rogues. They come to a decision that my Dad will also help for the investigation.
After lunch, they said goodbye and return home. I'm going to see them soon and I'm excited to celebrate my birthday with my mate. I want him to meet my best-friends.
"You look happy." Zeus.
He doesn't leave my side all day and he kept checking and asking me what I needed.
"I'm just excited for my birthday and I want you to meet my friends." I said.
He sits on my side at the end of the bed. He looks tired.
"Zeus, I think you need to rest. I will be release tomorrow morning. You can come back here tomorrow." I said to him.
"I'm fine." He said.
"No, you're not. Please go get some rest." I said.
"Can I just sleep here with you. The bed can accommodate us." He said smiling.
I never expect that he will asked me that. Sharing bed seems a good idea since I'm craving for his body. He change a lot this past few days. He let his guard down whenever he's with me.
"Okay, come here." I move a little for him to lie down beside me. I feel tired so I lie down too. We are facing each other, he keeps staring at me. I put my pointer finger to his eyes. "Sleep Zeus." I said and he closed his eyes with a smile on his lips.
Maybe I am lucky having him as my mate. This one is a Greek god face and body but I know, deep inside he is kind although heartless and soulless sometimes, I know he cares for me.
I fall asleep next to him.

I wake up in the morning feeling lonely without the heat of Zeus body. Since now I know that he is my mate, my body is responding to the pull of our bond together. I look in my table and there is a note, above of the note is a white rose.
Kath,
I'll be back before lunch, see you later.
Zeus.
A simple note that brings joy to my heart. What a great morning I said to myself.
I fixed myself, thank God that my room has its own bathroom. I clean myself and brush my teeth. I want to look good when he come back.
As he promised, he comeback before lunch. He brought me foods and we ate together and then we go home.
The Queen greeted me and wanted to chat with me, but Zeus told her that I need to rest first. We can talk some other time.
"Where do you want to rest, your room or our room?" He asks. I look at him and smile.
"I miss my bed." He look sad at my answer. "But I want to sleep in our room." I said smirking at him.
He opens his door and his scent fills me.
"Go and get some sleep. Tomorrow we will be heading to your father's pack." He kisses me in the forehead and we sleep together again.
I'm excited for tomorrow.
