Jenny's expression turned shocked after hearing what I suggested. If I had the power, I would have killed Leonardo multiple times already. Giving it a thought, Jenny began to shake her head, more tears spilling out of her eyes,
" It's.. not possible , Valentina. You don't know, Leonardo. He is more dangerous than he seems."
I tried to pursue her again, making my words firm and confident,
" But I won't stop here, Jenny. I will definitely punish Leonardo for killing my innocent friend."
With those words, I turned around to leave the spot but Jenny's crying voice stopped me again,
" You are throwing yourself in danger, Valentina!! You don't know, Leonardo. You know nothing about him. My father's property is all under his name now. If I go against him, he will definitely destroy my entire family. I can't do that."
Letting out a low gasp, I shot a glance at her in terror. What an asshole was he! Jenny continued through her cries,
" It was him who told me to spike your drink! He forced me to do that. I would never ever harm a pregnant woman, Valentina. All of these accidents were planned by him."
I bit my lips tighter in panic. Leonardo sounded persistent to destroy us at any cost. He had even started targeting me now. Wiping her tears off, Jenny softened her tone to warn me,
" Let me give you a piece of advice, Valentina. Leonardo can do anything to inherit the property. It's better for you that you don't do anything until you give birth to your baby. You know what I mean.."
Yeah, I knew it too well. As a man who could kill his unborn child without any remorse could go to any extent to harm my baby as well. But having patience was too torturous for me now. I had been waiting to know what happened to Lily exactly. Now, the truths have come in the front light, my hands were tied together. However, I had to wait for the sake of my baby.
Nodding at her blankly, I attempted to leave again but Jenny suddenly added, freezing me between my step,
" It's weird that Lorenzo doesn't know anything about this. I know, Valentina that Lorenzo is far away capable than Leonardo. Don't you find it weird that Lorenzo doesn't know anything about Lily?"
I shot her a glance, muttering a bit coldly,
" What do you mean?"
Jenny exhaled heavily before replying,
" I am just saying. Perhaps, Lorenzo is hiding from you as well."
I shook my head firmly, replied confidently,
" Never!! If Lorenzo knew everything, he would have told me long back. Lorenzo would have never hidden about Lily's matter from me. Anyways, we shouldn't talk anymore here, Jenny."
Leaving her behind, I walked back to the party again. Midway, I spotted the woman who came to shop in my store that day. I was a bit surprised to see that she was accompanied by one old and two young men. Before I could observe a bit more, Lorenzo's piercing voice cut me off,
" Where the fuck did you go?"
Startling, I looked up to find, Lorenzo standing next to me. His jaw clenched hard in anger. I realized that I had wasted a lot of time there. He was probably worrying for me. Ignoring his anger, I pointed at the elderly woman to ask about her,
" Who is she? I was just curious because she came to shop in our store the other day. Although she looked shabby, she had multiple guards to pick her up."
Lorenzo followed the direction that I had given him. After a short while, he replied, turning me speechless,
" Oh heaven! She is the current queen of Heaven wood. You know that neighborhood country which is still run by the Royal Family. They are here for some international visits."
My lips fell apart in disbelief. She was actually the queen yet she looked so low back in the store. Above all, she was so humble to not attack any of the stuff, considering what they had done to her. Gulping the shock down, I mumbled to Lorenzo, still not believing the fact that a queen had actually come to visit our store,
" That seems like it.. Let's go.."

THE NEXT DAY,
I received a call from Emily early in the morning. That brat scared the shit out of me because she said that it was emergency. Leaving all my works behind, I ran to her apartment only to find her in the drawing room. However, she looked really pale. The dark circles around her eyes were the proof of her sleepless nights. Upon noticing my arrival, a small smile pulled on her lips, welcoming me,
" Val...."
I paddled upto her, pulled her into my embrace to sigh in relief,
" Thank God! I thought, something bad has happened to you."
Emily let out a sad chuckle, guiding me to sit down on the couch first,
" Relax! Nothing bad has happened but will happen sooner or later."
I gave her a stranger look but patiently waited for her conversation. After letting out a heavy sigh, she mumbled, looking down at her hands in guilt,
" I..I am pregnant..."
" WHAT??????????"
The horrific shout left my mouth was probably enough to reach all the apartments nearby. I wasn't wrong in other ways. From a single girl to a soon-to-be mother news really made me speechless. Gasping hard, I blurted out everything in a breath,
" Are you kidding me? You don't have a boyfriend..who is that bastard? Tell me, Emily. I still can't believe that..how did all happen?"
Emily bit her lips together to stop her crying. Letting out a few low sobs, she told me, mumbling,
" It was the night..we were at the same bar.. Luka was there as well..You let him accompany me..and..I don't know..how did it happen.."
My mouth hung open in disbelief. Stumbling over my words, I muttered looking at her intensely,
" What.. what did you? You..you are pregnant with Luka's child?"
Emily nodded her head blankly, letting out more sobs before telling,
" Yes...I...I haven't slept with anyone else.. except him yet..."
I held my forehead in frustration. Things got messed up here but so far what I understood about Luka, he was a responsible man. Grabbing Emily's arms, I urged her to leave, already standing up from the couch,
" What..are you waiting for.. Let's go.. Luka is a responsible man. I am sure that he will acknowledge it. We can't keep it hidden from him."
Emily didn't sit up instantly, her voice breaking into cries as she shouted back in agony,
" He won't, Val! I know!!! Luka loves someone else. He doesn't love me nor do he will love this baby. He will ask me to abort, Val. I can't let him know."
Luka loves someone else? Why didn't I hear of it before?
Staying in daze, another thought came across my mind. If we kept the news hidden from Luka, it will be unjustified for the child. That child deserves to know who the father is. Swallowing the lump in my throat, I shared my opinion strongly,
" You won't back off, Emily. If Luka doesn't take responsibility, we will raise your child together. As long as I am here, I will support your decision."
Emily burst into tears as she hugged me tightly. I could feel that Emily wanted this child badly. But now the big question was whether Luka wanted this baby or not as it was born accidentally. I just hoped that Emily wouldn't do anything stupid like Lily did. I would be there for her always.
