Mrs Reluctant Billionaire Chapter 34

El left. She fucking walked away.

I snap out of my pitiful trance, catching up to her before she leaves through the front door. “Baby,” I let out in a breathless whisper, arms sliding around her waist from behind to stop her. She wiggles in my embrace, I tighten my grip on her. “Okay, I’m sorry. Elna.” El doesn’t spare me a look but her resistance wears off and I take advantage of that. “I don’t like that you are friends with him. I was—am jealous.”

Her hands cover mine, she rests her forehead against the door and a sigh travels through her. “I know. I didn’t want to make you feel that way. That's why I didn’t pick his call in your presence but in the end, it still happened. There is no reason to be jealous.” When our eyes lock, she palms my face and my anger fades. I moan softly as she caresses my cheek, lips puckering into a pout. “Baby, it’s only you.” It is hard to believe that sometimes. Until she says yes and we are back together officially, I won’t stop worrying about men like T. They scare me. “But I can’t stop being friends with people just because you don’t like them.”

Pouting, I say, “Yes, you can.”

Her eyes narrow. “Brandon.”

That stern voice again. She has mastered it so well it feels like I am one of the twins when she uses it on me. My hands hover above her butt. “Fine. Just don’t talk about him around me. Don’t mention him.”

A smile fleets to her lips, I bury my face in her neck and sniff her. My woman. “I won’t.”

Littering kisses all over her face, my hand slips into her shirt to cup her breast and she responds with a sexy moan. “Brandon, I have to get to work.” But she doesn’t fight me. Her back arches, I squeeze an erect nipple, biting the skin on her neck. She hisses, her fingers work on my waistband. “Baby. Work.”

“You will,” I murmur against her neck. “After.” I bring her hand to cover the bulge in my sweatpants and she gulps audibly. Yes, she turns us on. A smile from her and I have a boner. “After you satisfy this man.”

Hoisting her legs around my waist, I scurry to the room, barely making it to the bed on time before my lips are ravaging hers again. Our movements are feverish, desperate as we rip each other’s clothes off. We don’t explore, we touch and touch, moan and grunt. I pepper sloppy kisses where I can and she strokes my length, bats those long lashes at me like a sex goddess. The tip of my cock pokes her slick entrance, she readily welcomes me into her moisture with a smile and I freeze briefly at the strange familiarity.

I push in until my dick fills her warmth, a shock of pleasure zips my spine and my head falls back. Rocking gently as our bodies find rhythm. We share looks, smiles. Our strangled moans echo in the room and I fall in love with her over again. I don’t last long, neither does El, she cums right after and I collapse to the bed.

Minutes after the high wears off, I dash to the bathroom and return with a washcloth to clean her up. El winces, I stop to offer her a contrite smile and she pouts. Maybe I was rough last night but it’s hard to be gentle when I have stayed away for five years. Returning to the duty at hand, I clean our mess and stalk back to the bathroom, flashing my reflection a smile. The smile of a fulfilled man, father and husband.

On my return, the sheets are already changed and she’s back on the bed, right where I want her. “I’ll drive you to work,” I say while stroking a side of her face. El looks up to me. Desire, lust clouds her eyes, I peck her lips. Driving her to work is one of the little moments we never shared, today with the kids in the car was a first. “If you want, I can ask Enzo to drop you off,” I offer when she continues staring. “El.”

“No, it’s fine.” Disappointment tickles me, I try to hide it but she notices. Her fingers trailing my chest stops. “Baby, I can get myself there.” She tries to placate me with a kiss, it works. “You need the rest.”

“But I’m fine.” What’s with all the women in my life trying to confine me to the bed? “I feel very fine.” El is already pulling the duvet over her body. Her breasts press to my chest, she gives me that look, the one that leaves me flustered. She is winning an argument that’s yet to start. “Wifey, I can take you there. El.”

“Nope. Don’t care if you feel fine, bedrest is bedrest. Doctor’s orders and you will listen. Are we clear?”

The cheeky minx smiles at me. There’s no winning with her. “Yes.” A memory fleets to my subconscious, I press down on my toes and El eyes me warily. Though she mentioned work, she has not made a move to leave the bed and I have no intentions of reminding her. I clear my throat. “I have a question for you.”

A careful look blankets her face, I almost laugh as she sits up to create space between us. The duvet rolls to her waist, revealing her strapless bra and I push my hands behind me to resist the temptation of caressing those twin beauties. Our knees touch, I splay my palms on my knees and she laces our hands.

“That day you rushed into the bathroom, you were crying on the toilet seat. Why?” Confusion clouds her face, her teeth sink into her lip as she tries hard to remember. The sight of her teeth tucked into her lip sends a message to my groin, I place a pillow on my laps to cover my semi. Her existence is a turn on. Five years is too long but I am glad we managed to wait for each other. She shakes her head, I walk her through the memories. Her eyes finally light up but her lips remain sealed. “Tell me. El, please tell me.”

Minute rolls by, I don’t know how long we stay that way before she says, “The reason I delayed to tell you about Brianna was because I didn’t want you to be hurt or disappointed in me. I know you are not happy with me but it wasn’t done to hurt you, I promise.” My brows furrow, she runs a hand through her thick hair. “Hear me out, please.” I nod. “Knowing how long you waited, I wanted your first time seeing her to be special and she had to be awake for that to happen. I swear on our girls’ lives, we were going to tell you but she... Bri, Brianna relapsed.” Her voice cracks, a tear rolls down her cheek. “And I... We didn’t know how to tell you that she was awake for a short moment without hurting you. I’m sorry.”

Her eyes lower to her fingers tangled on her laps, she sniffs and my heart splits open. As much as I want to, I don’t bridge the distance between us. We need to talk about this. “Is that why you were crying?”

“Yes.” She sucks her lips and swallows. “It happened that day. I felt so awful and I panicked because you never got a chance to see her. I didn’t know what to do. I told Sophia not to say anything until I did but it became harder to tell you since I had been an ass to you.” El frowns, her face a pure mix of sincerity and remorse. “I’m sorry, I really am and you thought I did it to hurt your feelings. Baby, I’ll never do such a thing to you.” She stops to catch her breath. “It’s a horrible thing to do and I’m not a horrible person.”

Anger, hurt, tinges her words, she ducks when I try to touch her. “Elna.”

“You shouted at me. I don’t like it when you shout at me.” Snot runs down her nose but she remains a pretty sight. “You hurt me too.” She frowns at her wrists, I offer her a tight smile. I wasn’t thinking much that day, I couldn’t think after Vincent happened. “And you didn’t care. I guess I deserved it, so, it’s fine.”

My hand sneaks around her waist, I draw her into an embrace and let out a sigh when she snuggles close to me. “It’s not fine, you didn’t deserve it.” A second passes. “I lost it.” There’s a dull ache in my chest as I relive the incident of that day, my eyes shut. It’s now a distant but painful memory and I don’t hold a grudge against them for not telling me. “I know you don’t like being shouted at but I was so mad at you. God, El. I have waited so long for her to wake up and I couldn’t think straight.” She stares at me with tear coated lashes, I run a hand through my hair. “I’m sorry. You are not a horrible person. You’re awesome.”

Her shoulders sag, her head jerks shakily in a hesitant nod. “Yeah. It’s alright.”

“Is it?” She nods, the sadness in her eyes ebbs and I cup her face. My lips hover over hers. In a husky voice, I whisper, “El.” Her lips part, she wants to kiss me too but I will not be satisfied with one kiss. “El.”

Pushing the pillow aside, she climbs on my lap and touches her forehead to mine. I stare into her eyes, trying harder to keep my hands to myself. She has work, I need to let her go. “I got you something.”
