George's POV
I hate to act out! I'm not good at it.
After the meeting, he dragged me together with our children towards another room of his conference room.
"Dude! Let her out!" Harry shouted.
"Come on, man. She's scared to be left alone," Yancy said.
They continued shouting for Yul to let me go. But this man is just looking at me with his longing eyes.
He wants to say something, but he can't find the perfect words and construct a single sentence. And also, those guys are stopping him from talking.
I'm sure he's waiting for them to go away.
"I can handle this boys, leave," I shouted from the inside. After a while, I heard footsteps and the opening of the door.
I'm also responding to his stare.
"Mom?" Yael called.
Among the two of my kids, Yael is the scaredy-cat.
"Ssh, Mom is here," I said and hugged him.
He became calm, but still afraid of his father.
Suddenly, Yul Matthew hugged all three of us.
He hugged us for quite a while and cried.
"I miss you, my wife," he uttered.
Right after I heard those words from him, I pushed him away.
"I'm not your wife anymore, Mr. Servano," I said.
"Don't be like this, Stacey. I need you in my life. I've waited for this moment for so long."
"I told you not to call me Stacey again. That's part of my nightmare. I hate to be reminded of my past," I said.
"S-sorry," he uttered and looked away.
"Mommy, is he our real father?" Yael asked.
Ugh! My heart is melting just by the sound of Yael's voice.
He's so soft-hearted and I don't want to ruin him and give false hopes that their father won't leave.
How could I resist and deny that he isn't?
"I am, my love. I'm your father," he said.
Yael suddenly smiled and hugged him, and Hyeri followed.
The way he hugged our children gave me a thought of how long did he endure being alone.
I wonder how he was living while I'm away.
Argh! I can't believe it.
I'm still deeply, madly, and crazily in love with him.
He opened his eyes and offered me to join and hug him as well.
I said no, but he forced me!
His hug is so warm.
I've been longing to feel this kind of hug for so long.
I can't deny the fact that I missed this d*mn hug.
Hyeri and Yael were smiling to their ears, and my heart is jumping in joy. Finally, we are one big family. For now, at least.
"Is he your new boyfriend?" he asked after that hug.
"Yes, he is. Just believe it. It's the truth," I said.
"I am too late, huh?"
"Why didn't you find me? And follow where I'm headed?" I asked.
My son is on his lap, sleeping. So as for my daughter Hyeri, she's also sleeping but on my lap.
He sighed before answering.
"You know, back in the day, I've been a pain in the ass for you. I've caused you a lot of pain. I didn't help you recover from your mother's death but even cause another source of your pain. I want to follow you so bad, my wife. But I don't want to present myself just the same as you left. I want to become a better person and gather the courage to win you back. I don't want you to feel ashamed for having me around you," he said.
I looked away.
"I didn't know you will think that way," I replied.
He suddenly held both of my hands.
"This time, I promise to take you back and win my place again in your heart. Even if it takes forever. Or even if you found a new one," he said.
I took my hands back.
"I'm sorry, I don't feel the same," I replied.
I kept on hiding my feelings from him.
I don't want to be so fragile again.
"Ouch! That hurts, huh? Anyway, I'll still do my best to snatch you from him," he said and winked.
After a while, he finally let me and my children go.
Honestly, after two years, that was the first I felt real happiness.
...beside him.
"So, how are you now, 'Mrs. Servano'?" Kate asked while smiling mischievously.
"The hell, man! Her knees are like jellies when she saw him! Is that how crazy she is for him?" Yancy asked. I rolled my eyes.
"Could you guys talk about me when I'm not around? Kindly have respect for me, please. If you still have it? Grrr!" I said and they laughed like hell.
Geez. I hate this shit.
Laughing stock again.
Yul's POV
We still have another meeting for tomorrow, so I prepared myself to be the most handsome guy in our office and even bought a bouquet just for her.
"Hi, sir!" Grace said.
Such a flirty.
"What now, Grace?"
"Well sir, your appointment for today has been canceled. The reason is not vivid. They're not so professional," she said and rolled her eyes.
"WHAT?!" I shouted. Oh gosh!
"Yes, sir. Uhm, next time, warn me if you're going to shout."
"Go away. I don't want to see your irritating face, Grace."
I said.
She threw a tantrum and went away.
Argh. This bouquet is such a waste.
After knowing that, I tried texting Cygnus and asked where George is.
He didn't respond so I went to his house.
I'm not yet going out of my car, but I already saw her with Yancy.
"Is this the reason why you canceled? Because you went out with him?!" I asked after I went out of my car.
She rolled her eyes.
"Yeah, I told you already. But you didn't listen," she said.
That guy rests his arm on her shoulder.
It's like my heart is being pierced.
"Hi Daddy!" my children said and ran towards me.
I welcomed them with a hug and kiss.
"How are you guys today?" I asked.
"We're good, Dad! Come, let's go inside and eat!" Yael said.
"Wait!" I said and went inside my car, split the bouquet in half, and give it to them.
"Surprise! Here's daddy's gift for you, my lovely children!"
Both of them began to sneeze. I looked puzzled. Why? What did I do wrong?
George ran toward our child and throw the flowers.
"My gosh, Yul! Next time you plan on surprising them, notice me first! Or you'll kill them!" she said.
"W-what? A-are they allergic to pollen?" I asked.
She rolled her eyes.
"Yes, bro. The last time they inhaled one, Yael almost died," Yancy said.
After hearing those words, I sprayed alcohol around.
"STOP IT! YOU'RE JUST MAKING IT WORSE! Just don't do things that you don't know, or everything might ruin," she said and rolled her eyes.
I didn't know they'll experience this just because I want to make them smile...
