Without sparing her another glaze, Bernard walked out of the mansion why his assisted trailed behind him , this was the least thing he expected he never wanted to see that woman in his house not today of all days what was she doing here he asked himself out of curiosity, he know too well how Alice react to things and he knows that of the pack gets to find out about this it's not going to end well for Olivia and this was not what he wanted for her not now or ever.
Bernard arrived at the office he went straight to attend the board meetings that had already been scheduled. Immediately after he finished he returned back to his office only to meet Kane waiting patiently for his arrival.
" What are doing here " Bernard asked waiting patiently to here what he has to say.
" Nothing Bernard I came to deliver a message to you from the pack " Bernard was taken by surprise by this relevation he knew too well that the pack wouldn't in it him just like that expect something bad happened which he know someone was up to something.
" Is there a problem? If there is one you can handle it yourself I have important matters to take care off over here " his cold and stern voice echoed in four walls of the office leaving Kane in shock.
" you can't say that Bernard you know you don't belong here so why are making things difficult for us , the pack needs you right now you need a luna to rule by your side don't you u understand" kane was pissed off by his words but he was still trying so hard to play cool not to get him to leave this human world.
"I never said I have forgotten my responsibility as the Alpha, since you all need a luna then I will give you a luna , go back and tell them am going back to the moon light pack with my luna " Bernard poured himself a glass of wine then took a sip from it before carefully placing it back on the desk without making an eye contract with Kane.
" great I will have to inform Beta Jacob that you have finally greeted to marry Alice " kane got up from his sit, straightened up his shirt and was about to leave when when suddenly Bernard called out to him.
" It seems you are very good at finding words from my mouth, Kane, don't be faster than your shadow. " Those were his last words before dismissing Kane with a signal.
Bernard rested his head back on his sit and then thought about everything that had happened he knew too well that this was going to be a great battle because his pack wouldn't accept his mate as his luna be again on a second thought he remembered what happened back at the mansion and decided to carry out more investigation Olivia and why she possessed such strength. But again he had to do that once he returned from the pack.
After a hectic day at the office, Bernard arrived home and went straight to Nana's room, immediately he stepped in and the old woman stretched out her hands and pulled him in for a hug.
" What's wrong with you dear, you had a bad day today at the office " the old nana asked with a sad expression on her face.
" Yes Nana, I feel they are conspiring against me , they want me to marry Alice but I don't want to marry, I don't feel the connection between us Nana, I feel something is wrong somewhere " Bernard said as he rested his head on Nana's lap and then signed out in relief.
Ever since the death of Bernard parent, Nana has been the one taking care of Him, from the age of five, she single handedly made sure that no harm came to Bernard because that was the last order from her late luna, when they announced the union between Alice and Bernard, Nana's heart was broken because she never wanted Bernard to get married to the witch.
" Bernard you made the right decision for yourself and am not going to stop you , but all I can say is you just have to careful right now beta Jacob is the enemy, I no deep down in my heart and know they are planning something terrible but you don't have to lose in this battle you have to be strong no matter what happens my dear
Bernard already knew who the enemy was, but all he needed right now was a proof to show that Beta Jacob was nothing but a betrayal to their pack; he wanted him out and that for God . all he needed right now was solid proof. He signed and stood up from his Nana's lap.
" I think I have to Go now Nana ,I have been summoned in the pack and I have to answer " he was about to leave but suddenly Nana held his hand and then whispered to him.
" You have to protected her Bernard ,I see a strong storm coming " Bernard turned to look at Nana and saw her pupil turned all white, Nana was a descended from the goodness of the moon but she devoted her life by walking as a nanny for Bernard.
Bernard on the other hand understood what Nana was talking about so her quickly let go of the hand and left the room light a flash .
The next minute, he appeared in the woods, the crying sound of wolves was heard in the air, then a young man wearing a black coat was seen walking along a tiny path Bernard already knew why he was been summoned but he wanted to be sure , so he continued walking in the tiny part, making the wolves cry out loud the more .suddenly Bernard stopped in his tracks and then spoke out loud.
" You really don't have to be this childish come out, I can feel your presence " immediately he said those words , a white wolf gradually walked out of it's hid out and then wiggled her tail in front of him, Bernard gently rubbed her head and then the wolf instantly turned into a human.
" Stop it brother and not a child anymore " Bernard giggled at her words and then threw a coat at her.
" Kiara you need to put this on, and I hope you haven't exposed yourself to those wolves " said Bernard as he continued his journey and then the young beautiful red hair young lady walked behind him .
