Umbrie opened the door of the apartment and they all sauntered in with Sky obsessing over the toy he gets to play with since there was no television to watch.
Keiran and Umbrie freshened up separately but she spent more time than getting did in the bathroom making him wait for ages.
When Keiran returned to the sitting room all dressed up, he found Umbrie angry and her arms folded.
"We should have gotten a phone. I completely forgot that." She peeved gritting her teeth.
"Whoa, don't stress yourself since we will be going back tomorrow." He shrugged leaning against the wall.
"I know you care about nothing but we have an exam in two days. I haven't studied for it and this Is all thanks to you whom lured those rogues to us. If you didn't leave in the first place, this wouldn't be happening. Actions have consequences, you should know that." Umbrie blunted ransacking her hair back and forth.
"I know." Keiran muttered.
"You knowing doesn't solve anything. I know all this tragedy is happening because we are not destined to be. But I no longer care about that. I give up." She continued to banter with so much frustrations showing on her brows.
He patiently listened to her not also caring anymore. He regretted his actions and apologized to everyone but it seemed Umbrie can't forget about it.
He had never seen this petulant side of her.
She finally got up and walked out of the place. The door to the bedroom was open so she went in to stay with Sky.
"I don't want to get involved but why are you always arguing with Keiran?" Sky asked curiously.
"You won't understand. I will explain it to you when you turn sixteen. For now, I need you to promise me you won't tell anyone you healed Keiran's mother and he saw you doing so." She said on a mutter.
"I promise." He replied smiling at her. "You should also stop arguing with him. It makes you look like a nagging old woman."
She gasped.
"Really?"
"Yes."
"He is the one that annoys me so much." She growled dropping on the bed like a sack of rice.
"But you annoy me more with your bickering voice." He uttered and she watched him unbelievably as he low key shades her.

At Night
•
Keiran entered the room leading a sleepy Sky to the bed. He had been playing board games with him and unfortunately, he got really tired.
Placing him on the bed, Keiran removed his shoes and threw the duvet over his body.
He stepped out in search of Umbrie. She was at the balcony alone listening to the rough loud music coming from the next flat.
It sounded like a party was going on and she loved it.
This was how she pictured her future years, single and partying all the time. Sounds of footsteps got closer and she wasn't surprised to see Keiran standing at the door.
He sat next to her on the floor and they remained there together in silence. She eventually rested her head on his shoulder and when he looked into her face, she was asleep.
He thought about kissing her but knew he would definitely earn a slap this time since she almost chopped his head off with words just because she forgot to buy a phone.
He lifted her into his arms before taking her in.
He slept happy knowing he was next to her.

On the road

There was an undying silence as they drove back to the pack house.
He was sad he couldn't win her back. It didn't go as he planned because he realized she had really made up her mind and she was done for real.
And Sky made it more awkward by talking about a book he read — a book about a loser.
Yeah, Keiran was definitely a disappointed loser.
He parked the car in front of Umbrie's home and Sky was the first to leave and run into the house.
"Are we really breaking up?" He asked in a low tone.
"Yes. You need to work on yourself, Keiran or you might end up hurting people again in the future. We can always be friends." She replied and he nodded infinitesimally
"That's true. See you tomorrow at school." He said.
She left the car and waved to him as he revised out of the compound.
"It's your turn to chase me, Keiran. I can't go on running after you so I don't be the only one fighting for our relationship. And I know you will change for the better."

At The Pack House
•
"So, we have a truce. You will no longer attack us for any reason and you are welcome into our territory but not for any funny business." Alpha Damien stated as everyone around the table paid attention to him, including Louis.
"It's a deal. Before we dismiss, is everyone in your pack safe? We would like to help to recover anyone missing." One of the rogues said.
"No, everyone is fine. The teens missing returned this morning." The gamma, Armstrong answered.
"Umbrie is back?" Louis asked without thinking twice.
"Yes, she is."
"Oh.." He sat back on his chair rubbing his broken wrist from the fight.
The attack was over and the pack won. The rogues however are now at their mercy and would have to comply with their demands.
"So, it is settled then. If any of you wants to join us, we can further discuss that later because I have somewhere important to be right now. My second will help out with anything else." Damien announced.
Everybody's eyes looked at Clint, the beta of the pack whom was looking anywhere but to them.
'Clint? You haven't realized it, have you? He is the one that started feeding our minds in the first place. The one who gave us info on the two teens.' Louis told Damien through mind link.
Damien was confused and glanced at his friend. It's hard for him to process but he wi get to the bottom of it.
He withdrew his gun, shocking the werewolves and aimed it at Clint.
"Come with me."
